I drag home free unloved motorcycle that have little value above scrap metal. I have found the most expensive motorcycle a guy can own is a free motorcycle. It does not take much in parts, battery, tires and fluids to have more money in the bike than it's worth running. I enjoy your videos, make me happy to see there are other fools out there. Thank you
Definitely my kind guy !!! I love how you rescued Patti. I had a 1992 rxl and loved that sled (when it ran right and battery was 100% ) . I had a lot of wedge and edge Polaris snowmobiles . Im a loyal polaris person. I'm also I big MOPAR enthusiasts too .. Very cool channel. Glad I came acrossed it !
Great series and I really love what you and the crew do and it’s obviously a common love and addiction that you , thankfully , share with all of us ! By second week of Dec we had 20” in the foothills of NW Maine. Slowly dwindled down to about 5” if we’re lucky with some rain and warm temps. Big ass storm going under all of us this week 🙄 lol. Take care John 🍺🍺
RXL's and 650's have varying size motor mounts and washers under the motor mounts from year to year and side to side. Todd Clyne had a similar issue on Project Pumpkin but dismissed it. I give you credit for working through the problem. Just ordering the correct motor mounts is only half the solution. But Polaris did place shims under the motor mounts too.
Really enjoyed the Patti series here! Should make for a great loaner/backup sled! The bellypan patch looks great and you really need to be looking for it to see it - nice work there!
Great video series on patty! It’s sad that all the snow went away but I hear in the next couple weeks we might get slammed so hopefully that’s true! Don’t want another warm brown winter!
I bought a 1995 RXL new from local dealer what a great sled ungodly top end across the lake. Road excellent with the 12 suspension a little tippy not bad. I noticed the little bog in yours like you said not much to worry about. I've been riding polaris's since 1974 had many brand new ones in the day Don't ride much nowadays a little too much arthritis do enjoy watching you resurrect them old snowmobiles keep up the good work.
You keep me motivated almost done with my Alpine2 next project is an elan twin I got this summer. No snow at my house but 20 inches 50 miles away in Upstate New York
Persistence prevails where all else fails!! What a labour of love Patti is lol. Good for you guys to stay with the project all the way through 👍 Bet you guys cleaned a few injectors after this one lol Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
Just got my 93 rxl sks running and the steering working it was froze up with rust. I have learned a lot about the rxl watching your videos. Thanks! Next is brake master cylinder rebuild, I know I need a special tool and the only video I remember u doing it was when Todd and Trenton were over. In thought there was a video on rebuilding before that? Not sure? Again thanks Scott
@ thanks nutter found the master cylinder rebuild walnuts part 4 Got the picture and dimensions.looks like I have government work to do tomorrow 👍u the man!
The bog u got might be sheave to sheave distance, or, that belt looked a bit narrow (worn out?). I seem to remember there was another common cause for the injected RXL's havin' a Bog, something to do with the injection...maybe weak battery?? Anywho, good to hear it rippin again!!
There is another version of that high wedge seat with longer rear hump, I would assume thats why yours look like it does not fit. Your end result still looks nice!
Good to see Patti up and going. Lots of time stuck in Patti with less investment than I thought it would take . Every video you put out when working on these sleds is educational to me. Thanks keep up the amazing content. What's the next sled you will be looking for?
Hey nutter I got a seat cover off eBay from sleepy hollow upholstery for my 92rxl and it came out great, great fitment and was able to customize the colors. Just an option for the future
Yeah those seat covers are crappy, I bought one for my 500 and I ended up doing up the strap on the hump, then stretched the crap out of the back with the cord real loose on the front and then once the back was done up I pulled real hard on the front and stapled it up lol
Motor locked up on my 2004 700 Switchback a few ago , bought a 2005 RMK motor I found online , put it back together like it looked originally , first test ride DET light came on 2 miles away , thought I missed air bubbles , purged it again at an extreme angle , 2nd test ride , same thing happened , purged it again , 2 miles away DET light , couldn’t figure out why ? Brought it to the Polaris dealer , they couldn’t figure it out either , told them I put a 2005 RMK motor in it when I dropped it off , they called Polaris , after a half hour on the phone with the tech , he asked about the motors production year , turns out , 2005 motor pumps the coolant in the opposite direction , they flipped the hoses around , problem fixed ! But they didn’t know that at the dealers , I told them , 2005 RMK motor
Your cob-job is a work of art, Nutter. Would love to find an RXL for my daughter. Single mother in state NY. The RXL Indy is a super sled. Keep fixin and we'll keep watchin'.
Strange things today , was watching City Steading Brews and mid video it hesitated for 2 seconds than came back on , and they were speaking Spanish ! I touched nothing , and on Koba49 live my comments don’t appear , and I’ve listen to him for years , and if you can read this , I haven’t gotten a UA-cam time out ! Strange
All bells are still lit on the few places I subscribe too , and my comments appear on other live sites , I checked , people reply , Strange Times are coming , by the Meteors , PsychoBilly music , Koba49 is a gun site
Is if for an extra 12? There is actually a few different shaped wedge pans dening on which trailing arm length and if the rear ends are angled inward or just straight back.and then there's the exhaust location.

Love it or hate it…I love it! I appreciate sled Restorations, Customization, AND RESCUES!!! Keep it up - I learn something from every video.
Thanks for the kind words!
There’s a ton of sleds out there that are worth rebuilding . Great job !!!

My tag line on the Vintagesleds bulletin board was always "Free sleds are the most expensive sleds." Great minds think alike.

Glad you like the channel!
Sounds like a good runner man
Thanks. I think it should be good.
Awesome to see something rescued and ready for action! Too many of these sleds rot away in yards for years on end.
Thanks!

Thanks Tony! I hope you get some snow. We have none here.

Thanks!
The 650 Indy had the best sound ever!
Great video series on patty!

I don't want any kind of a brown Winter :)

It was a long road for sure!
Patti has been fun to watch ! I found a decent 92 RXL thats had an 88 or 89 650 non EFI installed that I can get for $350 may be my next project.
Sounds like a good project!
Well done! Keeping that 650 song out on the trails. Cant wait to see more on the XCR 800🍻❄️
I'm looking at the XCR every day and I can't wait. Need to finish up Greg's elan first though.
She’ll get it once it gets past the bog. Nice job Nutter
Thanks!
Great video with a lot of good tips. Not to much snow but Patti rips. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video thank you for the Sunday morning entertainment. 400 bucks for a rxl can’t beat that
You’re right!
Awesome job Nutter great video
Glad you enjoyed it.
Sand it lightly in circler motions and then. Repeat that two more times until the surface is completely smooth. Before trying that heat gun trick.
Was a good a series!Enjoyed watching!
Thanks for watching!
Patti looks like a fun ride 👍👍

We have rebuilt brake master several times in different videos. I made a tool but lots of people get by without it.
@ thanks nutter found the master cylinder rebuild walnuts part 4 Got the picture and dimensions.looks like I have government work to do tomorrow 👍u the man!

Thanks for another great Sunday morning video. I learn many things each episode. I am going to visit you guys and clean off your work bench though. Ha
Ha!
Coffee and Nutter
Good morning Todd!

Thanks!
I think Matt needs to give Patti a good ride
LOL! YES!
I used fender washers for leveling , U-shaped with a tab on the back , come in a multiple size kit ,
Good idea.
Nice beater! Hell I’d use as a daily rider live on leafers!
Thanks Jeff. I'm planning on going to live on leafers unless we get skunked on snow again.
@ I’m thinking I’m going to be there as well, I’ll look you up if so have a good one
Good to see Patti up and going. Lots of time stuck in Patti with less investment than I thought it would take . Every video you put out when working on these sleds is educational to me. Thanks keep up the amazing content.
What's the next sled you will be looking for?
Already got it Kevin, the XCR800 and then the Ultra. Then Lonnie's XC700.
Can't see that belly pan patch from my house...send it👍😎👍
Awesome!
Great content.
Thanks!
Love all the videos
Thanks!
Awesome video Nutter I have a big project coming up I found a 2005 ski Doo Mach z 1000 for 500 bucks I'm kinda scared but I think I can do it
You can do it!
I'm still looking for a ultra that needs work but in ND there hard to find
Hey nutter I got a seat cover off eBay from sleepy hollow upholstery for my 92rxl and it came out great, great fitment and was able to customize the colors. Just an option for the future
Interesting. I will have to look them up.

You learn something new every day!
Nutter I had that issue before and the engine mounts were different thickness so , that was my issue yours maybe something else.
Never know on Patti. She's a pile of parts.
You have way more snow than me , we have none ! Zero ! Bare ground , South Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan , Kingsford
That was filmed before Christmas. There is no snow now.
To far to trailer to Missouri to ride , they have snow ! Strange !
Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookie Have Fun
3 lunger. Plenty snappy. Little bog but she pulls out of it.
A little bog is probably safer on the loaner sled LOL.
If she's going to be a loaner sled you could call her pass around Patti
I thought that was implied LOL!
Morning! What size staples do you use for seat? Power stapler or hand stapler? Looks good!
Power stapler with T50 staples. usually 5/16 length but sometimes 3/8. 1/2" long where the material bunches up in the corners.
@nuttersspeedshop thanks working on a 96 skidoo sls seat cover! She was worn out
How's the snow 🏁😸
Gone.
Just curious what causes that big since it is fuel injected?
Probably weak clutch springs or worn parts in the clutches. I'm done putting money into it so It's going to get ridden this way for a while.
Patti was really bent over hard ….. needing that many motor hole shims … tight rig
LOL!!!!!
Your cob-job is a work of art, Nutter. Would love to find an RXL for my daughter. Single mother in state NY. The RXL Indy is a super sled. Keep fixin and we'll keep watchin'.

You are still there, but I know for a fact that youtube randomly unsubscribes people and it filters comments all on it's own.

you will never see that bellypan patch at 50mph
Right!
I have 2 mint wedge belly pans.. I need one of them if you want the other you can have it....
Is if for an extra 12? There is actually a few different shaped wedge pans dening on which trailing arm length and if the rear ends are angled inward or just straight back.and then there's the exhaust location.
@@nuttersspeedshop They are off a 1990 indy 500
WHEN IS IT GONNA SNOW ? WILL THIS YEAR BE SNOWLESS AGAIN?
