I have heard so much about this company! They seem pretty nice! Its amazing how cheap these supplies are, compared to the other brands!great review!I really appreciate it!❤
Hi Kattvalk! Just wanted to say that I have an art tip for you and even other artist out there! When your using reference, switch your phone's auto lock to never, so you don't have to tap the phone every few minutes. Hopefully this helps ^^
Arteza seems really pretty great. I would love to see how you use the oil colors or how you like the watercolor paper if you use it more with watercolors or Gouache
Have you ever thought about keeping your swatch papers and making a "catalog" of all your supplies? I keep swatch cards of my watercolors on a binder ring, and I was just thinking today that I should swatch every art supply I own. There's so many things that I could use that end up being overlooked and just stored away.
Wonderful review!! 😉👌 I can't wait to get me some of the gouache and watercolor pads! 😍 Waterbrushes are never a good idea for gouache since you don't want extra water flowing onto the paper making it splotchy. Get a small spray bottle and mist your paint palette. Use regular brushes but don't dip them in the water just use the small amount of water on your palette. Mist frequently when they start to get too dry.😉 I hope these tips will help you!💕👍 I loved the little potion bottles the most, super adorable! 💖
I your videos AR always so much fun to watch. I'm happy to see so many of the artesa things demonstrated. I have just ordered my first arteza products. Can't wait until it gets here tomorrow!
Yay an arteza review! I definitely agree that these products are great for someone who wants to explore a new art medium. I'd really like to try the water brushes soon. They remind me of the art-n-fly water brushes with the push buttons. Wonderful review~ Oh! I'd also like to see a painting with the oils, that's be cool!
Thank you, Kattvalk for sharing your thoughts on these products. I have bought these through Amazon on a deal and haven't gotten a chance to use most of them yet. I recent bought their acrylic paints so I can't wait to try those. Several months ago I actually did use the brush pens and they didn't work out for me. If you let it dry too long it will not activate with the water. It kind of dries like an ink wash. Once you put a color down you have to be really quick with using the water brush. You might get more watery effects with it. If you make another video with just using the brush pens I would definitely like to see it. I love your artwork and the supplies and how you use them. Sorry if I rambled too much with my comment and I hope you can read this well. Again, thank you for sharing your art and thoughts. Love your work. :-)
I have the real brush pens and the gouache and love them both! I like to dip the real brush pens in a small amount of water to give more of a watercolor feel
I just got fineliners and water color pencils and I love them. I’m still waiting on my brush pens and color pencils. The same thing happened to the large water brush I received but it still works well. I like the thickness of the paper
Hi Marie, I've become a big fan of yours. It seems like you can draw anything and each piece is so well done! I would love to see some video of you sketching/drawing in real time, as I want to learn more myself and can't really see what you do in the speed paints (though I love watching those too!).
I'm really looking forward to seeing you try the oils, and I loved your little gouache kitty. When mixing gouache it's best to aim for the constency of cream, to help it flow while retaining it's opacity. I definitely think you're right, the water brushes would've been pulling previous layers of pigment, and making it difficult to control the water to paint ratio. Try making some colour swatches, aiming for smooth, opaque squares, to get a feel for how much water to mix in. Hope that helps. Thanks for another awesome video :)
I have the water brushes. I really enjoy them, but I understand what you were saying about the brushes being flimsy, however if you use a lighter pressure and have a good flick of your wrist, thin details are easy to achieve. The water is easier to control like you said, but the line width sadly isn't the same case. Loved the video!
Lemon Cone it's a feature of amazon where you pay ~75 usd a year and you can get two day free shipping on lots of things. I have no idea if it's a thing in other countries
Hi when you were using the watercolour brush pens it you are doing a swatch you have to lay down a lot more pigment plus you waited a bit to long before you add water. This is the same with all watercolour products. Wow, I didn't know the fineliners were watersoluble thanks for the review
My other Inktober themed videos didn't seem very popular at that time so I thought I'd skip the inktober tour and make a full sketchbook tour once I've completed it ^^
I love those potion bottles. don't know if it will work with those watercolor brush pens, but I've had better luck with all the brands I own using them on mixed media paper instead of watercolor paper. I haven't tried this brand yet.
AAARRRGGGHHHH I’m so mad! I just spent the best part of an hour going thru the arteza site, filling up my shopping cart and getting excited! Get to checkout and they don’t ship to Australia. Now I’m sad 😭
Since gouache is so sensitive to water, using a waterbrush is going to make it hard to get that nice thick and creamy coating. I would say to try them again with normal brushes where you can control the water better, like you said!
Hi! If you are looking for good brushpens, I really like SAI brushpens. They are a little prisey, but they are awesome as watercolor brushes as well. And they last super long. Like I've had them for four years, and tried to draw with them as I got those, but couldn't really grasp the concept at the time. So I've found them rescently, and they are getting their second chance. They are as good and vibrant as they vere in the beginnig, so I really recomend
I got the 92 pens with case. They also sell the case seperately to hold 108 pens. Love my set. I would have liked a color chart. I will make my own chart. They do have number on pen.
Try them on canson vidalon. I had the best result with it, when it comes to watercolor marker. Or if you don't have the vidalon, try what you have on mised media and watercolor paper. You get different results. Watercolor marker are picky with their paper. :) Though I can't speak for Arteza.
I typically don't add water to gouache fresh out of the tube. The colors streak and looks like watercolors. Once they dry that's not the case. IMO gouache is a tricky medium to learn. After a lot a practice it's one of my favorite mediums but I found it challenging in the beginning.
I didn’t realize the fineliners are water soluble, so I’m really glad I saw this review. I was intending to order these for lining my artwork, but if they are water soluble they won’t work for my purposes. Disappointing. ☹️ I could use the liners AFTER like you did, but that’s not my personal workflow.
you don't have to get turpentine and stuff like that to clean your brushes! save money and the environment and use dish soap or my favorite, a bar of ivory soap- they work perfect! (For cleaning oil paint off)
ozshell72 {Miss.Chelle.Aus} yup! That's what I meant to say in my original comment. I'm in art school right now and my teacher told us to buy ivory soap instead and it works beautifully! (And it's super cheap)
There is a video on youtube that shows the problems with the cheap watercolor paper. So please do not blame the paints until you try Arches cotten duck or watch the video.
SourceOfBeing I thought it was a mouse due to thinking the white dots were eyes!😂😂😂 Thank you for informing me now I see that it's a cat and that they're not the eyes👍🏼
Does your channel name transferred into English mean Cat Paw? I knew "katt" meant cat but I looked up "valk" (yes, Swedish to English) and it came up with callus and when I looked up callus this is what came up: Dictionary callus ˈkaləs/ noun noun: callus; plural noun: calluses; noun: callous; plural noun: callouses a thickened and hardened part of the skin or soft tissue, especially in an area that has been subjected to friction. Medicine the bony healing tissue which forms around the ends of broken bone. Botany a hard formation of tissue, especially new tissue formed over a wound. "the exposed surface will quickly form healing callus" So I thought about it for a while and came up with "Cat Paw"! Sorry, this is so weird, I just got intrigued as to what your channel name meant XD
I have heard so much about this company! They seem pretty nice! Its amazing how cheap these supplies are, compared to the other brands!great review!I really appreciate it!❤
I would love for you to do videos with the Arteza Gouache.
Hi Kattvalk! Just wanted to say that I have an art tip for you and even other artist out there! When your using reference, switch your phone's auto lock to never, so you don't have to tap the phone every few minutes. Hopefully this helps ^^
Juliana Leanne What?? This is a thing!? 😱😍 How awesome!!!!! 💜💜💜👌👏👏
Juliana Leanne thank you ☺
Arteza seems really pretty great. I would love to see how you use the oil colors or how you like the watercolor paper if you use it more with watercolors or Gouache

I keep swatch cards of my watercolors on a binder ring, and I was just thinking today that I should swatch every art supply I own. There's so many things that I could use that end up being overlooked and just stored away.
Wow they are really colorful and looking great
More of the Gouache and Oil paints would be awesome. I totally look forward to what you create!
Wonderful review!! 😉👌 I can't wait to get me some of the gouache and watercolor pads! 😍 Waterbrushes are never a good idea for gouache since you don't want extra water flowing onto the paper making it splotchy. So many lovely art supplies! Great haul and I loved hearing what you had to say about the products! 🙂👍
Thank you, Kattvalk for sharing your thoughts on these products. I have bought these through Amazon on a deal and haven't gotten a chance to use most of them yet. These pieces turned out beautifully. Love the colour palette!
I have the real brush pens and the gouache and love them both! I like to dip the real brush pens in a small amount of water to give more of a watercolor feel

The colors are so vibrant, it really reminds me of spring.
I'd love to see you use oil paints since it's something I don't see as often.
Hi Marie, I've become a big fan of yours. It seems like you can draw anything and each piece is so well done! I would love to see some video of you sketching/drawing in real time, as I want to learn more myself and can't really see what you do in the speed paints (though I love watching those too!).
I love that you love the packing & were bugged buy the lower printed writing :D
Also, so many fineliners... niiiiice lol!!
I'm really looking forward to seeing you try the oils, and I loved your little gouache kitty.

Thanks for another awesome video :)
ahhhh the kitty is so cute and I love the affect you got with the liquid in the potion bottles
Gouache can be used like acrylic paints if you use less water and if you add more it can be used as watercolor 😊
I love your art! It is so beautyful😍 no matter what you use or draw it is allways so pretty😄 keep drawing👍
I’m drooling over everything I see in this video
*buys everything*
I would definitely love to see more videos using the gouache and oil paints
Wow nice rich colors!
Ahhh I see arteza products freaking everywhere and I really want to buy them
But arteza doesn't ship to my country.
Lemon Cone you can get arteza products on Amazon and they should ship to you
Oh, I freaking wish I could use Amazon, it makes life so much easier. But it's 50$+ for shipping to where I live.
Lemon Cone that sucks :/ man in that case prime is worth it if you can get it where you live
Prime?
Lemon Cone it's a feature of amazon where you pay ~75 usd a year and you can get two day free shipping on lots of things. I have no idea if it's a thing in other countries
Your art is always so beautiful 😍
The illustrations look so cute I have heard about this company their supplies are amazing quality for beginners I saw many artists try it
Hi when you were using the watercolour brush pens it you are doing a swatch you have to lay down a lot more pigment plus you waited a bit to long before you add water. This is the same with all watercolour products. Wow, I didn't know the fineliners were watersoluble thanks for the review
I think you forgot about the ink-tober sketchbook tour. You don’t have to do it but, just a suggestion for a video.

I'd love to see you use oil and gouache paint btw I love watching you draw and color ^^

I really like the arteza watercolor brush pens. Yours seem kind of dry maybe? They usually blend and mix quite well and flow nicely when you add water
Ah!! You're making my inner artist so hungry!!
I got the 92 pens with case. They also sell the case seperately to hold 108 pens. Love my set. I would have liked a color chart. I will make my own chart. They do have number on pen.
To be honest I do like her voice! It tells me her personality!
So cute and inspiring!
Loved the review! I'm definitely sold :)
Try them on canson vidalon. I had the best result with it, when it comes to watercolor marker. Or if you don't have the vidalon, try what you have on mised media and watercolor paper. You get different results. Watercolor marker are picky with their paper. :) Though I can't speak for Arteza.
Arteza is becoming famous
amazing video❤❤ you are my favorite artist

It's definitely a challenge and I have a feeling I will need to practice a lot :'D
Kattvalk can u make a video about tips because I love your videos and drawing but im no good😢
Amazing and interesting as always!
So nice with new supplies!
I love all of your videos!
I love your channel so much!!!
*delicious art supplies*
For gouache the best brushes you can use are acrylic brushes 🤙🏻
I havent heard about artzea but it looks nice and very affordable
WOWWWWWW!!!!! I’m so jealous!
Love your accent!
Did you get a chance to make this an asmr for your other channel with this unboxing?
you don't have to get turpentine and stuff like that to clean your brushes! save money and the environment and use dish soap or my favorite, a bar of ivory soap- they work perfect! (For cleaning oil paint off)
Piggiemushroom does this work with oil based?
ozshell72 {Miss.Chelle.Aus} yup! That's what I meant to say in my original comment. I'm in art school right now and my teacher told us to buy ivory soap instead and it works beautifully! (And it's super cheap)
it is amazing😭😭😭❤❤❤❤
It is the paper that is the problem not the watercolor pens. Try Arches Cotton paper.
I found the brush pens hard to control. The brush was too soft for me. How do you like them now?
an you do a video on the oil paints? :)
I want to see an oil piece.
There is a video on youtube that shows the problems with the cheap watercolor paper. So please do not blame the paints until you try Arches cotten duck or watch the video.
Nice review.
amazing!
See the arteza fineliner are they very good pens they won’t dry up
Are they lightfast
The video is called showdown by M.WC
A year and more later I wonder if they fixed their tube paint issues?
Use brushpens on plastic first and pick it up with a brush - should work better as watercolours ;)
Good idea but then I’m much rather use real watercolour 😊
Was just about to get myself those brush pens but the uk website doesn't sell them :((
They’re on the uk amazon ^^
Kattvalk uuuh I'm gonna check again then 😊💙
It took me a lot longer than it should've to realise that the white spots on the cat were not its eyes.
Same here xD
SourceOfBeing I thought it was a mouse due to thinking the white dots were eyes!😂😂😂 Thank you for informing me now I see that it's a cat and that they're not the eyes👍🏼
So sweet
its look so anwsome :3
Does your channel name transferred into English mean Cat Paw? I knew "katt" meant cat but I looked up "valk" (yes, Swedish to English) and it came up with callus and when I looked up callus this is what came up:
Dictionary
callus
ˈkaləs/
noun
noun: callus; plural noun: calluses; noun: callous; plural noun: callouses
a thickened and hardened part of the skin or soft tissue, especially in an area that has been subjected to friction.
Medicine
the bony healing tissue which forms around the ends of broken bone.
Botany
a hard formation of tissue, especially new tissue formed over a wound.
"the exposed surface will quickly form healing callus"
So I thought about it for a while and came up with "Cat Paw"!
Sorry, this is so weird, I just got intrigued as to what your channel name meant XD
Valk could also mean the fat around the belly ("love handles"), so it basically means "cat fat" or "fat cat", but really it's a nonsense word :3
Thanks! Such a cute name! ,=^n.n^=,
I think you have to put water immediately after you lay down the color...
Could u do like a monster high inspired ghoul
oH NO 2:54
😂😂😂😂 2:55 I can’t
So.. you consider this masterpiece “scribbling in you’re sketch book.....”
Hope Dreemurr your

How much are the brush pens?
WTF??? That is so much stuff!! o.O
Hi
Promo code isn't working 😔
I wish they made paint markers

You can get them on amazon too
Kattvalk is your discount code for their website only?
Ah yes, I'm afraid so :/
I'm the 5💚💚💚💚
11:42 who was thinking that the white dots on the cat's fase are the eyes? Haha if it just me
..
Good
