I suggest using water color pencils for the sketching because when you use water it gets 90% rid of them specially if you drew lightly.

You can fix the pans moving by removing them from the tin and pushing the metal tabs in a bit more, then snapping the pans into place

The paintbrushes come hard and sharp like that because the companies put a little of soluble glue, many people suggest washing the paintbrush thoroughly before use for best results! That’s also why it feels slimy!

    • @greekveteran2715
      @greekveteran2715 7 місяців тому

Also Becareful people, if you rush to get rid of the Gum Arabic glue, that new natural brushes come with on their bristles, then you will damage the tiny hair that every single naturea bristle has on it, which is actually what holds the paint and water, so it will not hold as much water as it could otherwise. The brush also will not last long. So, dip the brussh in clean water, (untill all the hair are covered but do not cover with water all the ferrule, to avoid water getting into the wood!) keep the brush there for a minute or 2, and then very gently, start rubbing it in the sides of the glass/jar, to remove all the Gum Arabic. After that, I take it to the sink and let water run through the bristles again, add brush soap, to remove the final amount of glue, using my fingers to wash it out, run some clean water again, READY to use!!

I rather not talk about it in another creators comments section on a video that was sponsored by that company since it's somewhat disrespectful ... Well to me anyways. 😊

As far as I can tell, they are pretty much over-priced. I checked the 12 set of Rembrandt watercolors and they are 50% off at 99$, but on Amazon they are 83$, no special offer...

jadefox33445 Having WHOIS hidden doesn’t, on its own, mean it’s a scam. I ALWAYS protect my WHOIS info. My friend had a crazed fan show up at her house and walk in without knocking because they found her address via WHOIS! It’s a safety issue for small businesses.

The dark cubes are a result of very transparent pigments with high masstone. Cadmium yellow is opaque so it looks the same when diluted or concentrated, but dioxazine purple is transparent and subtracts light so a lot of it looks black.

fun to see the different paper--you pointed it out; thick cold press paper has a capillary action so has to be bone dry to paint adjacent colors without bleeding. I use a Rembrandt travel set because the colors are so moist and intense. And they make the best red violet (PV19) ever. I've had the same set 15 years and it's like new. (brush is long gone--haha)

This brand of watercolor seems really nice to work with and the drawing turns out very nice on the rough paper even though both drawings are beautiful. Personnally I prefered the first version of the mouse, but I think it is a matter of taste (more natural colours with the yellow and green background).

Royal Talens is not the company that makes the Gelly Rolls and Pigma Microns; rather, Sakura, the company that does, owns Royal Talens. I don't know about the Banggood art supplies, but doubt that it's of the same brand, as Banggood, is, if memory serves, Chinese, while Sakura is Japanese.

    • @cucurtle4226

About the paint brush: bristles with be glued together for protection when shipping, and the glue will go away by soaking them in water. That's why it felt gooey.

      Translation of the watercolour paper:
细纹 means fine tooth or fine grain (guessing it's the paper texture) and 粗纹 means coarse grain/tooth.
四面封胶 means glued/sealed on four sides so I'm guessing it's either a block or it's been processed?
棉浆 means cotton-[like] pulp so I'm guessing it's made of cotton or cotton-like material
      无酸 means acid-free
      Hope this helped~
