Bought the Mini Max and just love my little guy. Great for me and my pup. Set up a twin size bed across the back which stays made up and have room for a smaller table and 2 seats. Had to get rid of the large table as it was heavy and awkward to move around. Keep some things in my car but day to day stuff is in the trailer. Used the air conditioner a few times but found the MaxAir fan worked well. Sufficient holding tanks and I’d rather dump than have to lift and carry a cassette - 5 gallons is very heavy for this 73 year old solo grandma! 😂
Love it! Glad it’s working for you!
Honest review, thanks. The T@B 320 fits in our standard garage door height of 7’10”. The Boondock version is just a little taller and will not fit. If your NOT going off road, get the std package. I’m very happy with the T@B 320.
thanks for your reply...helped me make a decision. i cannot wait to get my T@B!
Wish I could build a hybrid of the two, the bathroom/cassette toilet of the Tab, and the kitchen/refrigerator of the Mini Max.
I feel you!
Exactly!!
yup
Completely agree!
I like the way the T@b rear is curved up vs. the lower Mini Max. In my research it seems people have had a few more quality issues with the Mini Max. But! The stargazer window and larger refrigerator are winners for me. Lastly, the outside storage is something I want when I buy. I will use it to design a pull out catio for my cat(s) when I camp. I think it can be accessed from inside, too. Not sure on this year model. It's cool that you did these side by side comparison. Good video.
That's a great idea for a pull out catio. Love it.
I need something I can store in my garage so it's the T@B. I also like the cassette toilet.
The table in the Mini Max is also freestanding so it can easily be taken outside to be used for eating or prep space once you hit your campground.
Whoa! Thanks for sharing!
I like the nuCamp 320. We have seen both in person. To us the 320 seems to be built better. Both are very nice trailers though! Thank you for posting a side-by-side comparison.
We have a 2019 Mini and love it! The pull put drawer on the bottom of the refrigerator is not a freezer. The freezer has a pull down door in the top.
I appreciate you adding that comment and didn’t realize I made that mistake until we’ll after uploading! So thanks for correcting that for the viewers
I like the TAB 320
If you really want a small camper... the Tab. Small and easy. If you want plenty of storage and an AWESOME refrigerator Mini Max. But if you want luxury Little Guy Max is the way to go.
Wow!!! Great presentation 👏
Wish, wish, wish, the mini max came with a cassette toilet...
It would be sold!! The size difference with storage is a very noticeable..The difference between a short stay or a vacation 🤔
There is an outside mount for the tv and an outside speaker as well on the Mini Max (both I, personally, would never use but recognize some folks enjoy that for tailgating). And the window on the Mini Max door opens like all the others with screen and shade.
The cassette toilet is a deal breaker for me. The small size of it means that you will have to empty it every day (maybe 2). People that like the idea of these don't seem to realize that their time handling the "yucky stuff" will go up dramatically and make for many trips to the dump station. I would very much prefer emptying my black tank once a week. Just my opinion, everybody is different. Camp on!
*The 'Max' has a 9-gal. capacity for 'black'*
*The cassette has a 5-gal.*
*The cassette can be dumped into any flush toilet, or 'dig a hole and dump & cover' if in the boonies*
*So the 'Max' is LESS of a 'Boondocker' than the 'NuCamp'*
____________
*There's no law says you can't haul some extra water in the tow-vehicle for the cassette toilet*
Europeans (who use the cassette system almost exclusively) carry extra cassettes.
@@cpboyce2 That's a great idea.
Excellent comparison review.
Thanks for watching!
I will officially begin shopping this weekend in hopes of having something within the next month. I’m really considering the NU
I’ve been looking for a new teardrop and fits everything I’m looking for. Great job on the video. I’ve watched a few of yours and you always cover everything. Very informative. I love all the storage in this Max. I’m very interested in one.
Outdoor shower on the MiniMax, also MY 2022 has a LaGuana Table and it also has the reading lights on either side of the bed.
Mini Max all the way! Gotta have the pass through storage or partial pass through. Plus, just the size of the Mini Max for me is perfect…not too big, not too small. Perfect for solo get always and extended trips.
Fantastic job comparing the two! I really appreciate your speaking to the pros and cons, and that you went into so much detail. I would love to see what kind of storage is under the seats - if you have a video on that, please let me know as I’d love to see it - I haven’t seen anyone show that yet. Thank you!
i love the ac being under instead of on top and i love the alde system!
Tab 320 for me, tho the Barefoot is coming soon I hear which I like even more. (WHY do they still make everything drab grey and brown or tan in the US? Ugh 🙄 lol). I have to have the lowest weight possible also while having an inside kitchen and wet bath. My big plan is to get one of those (Tab 320 or Barefoot) and pull with a less expensive van and dude the van up just a wee bit also for storage and put in an extra cot there and my cats (also will “catify” the van as well). 😬 Set them up caddy corner and put a little catio in between. I’ll definitely be redoing those cushions tho. It needs some color pop and livening up from just blah grey.
Girl I am with you! What is up with the drab decore inside the campers and trailors in the U.S. They are awful!!! I love the European campers and trailers, wish they would hurry up and bring Barefoot to the US!
IMPORTANT!! The Tab Nucamp can actually fit in a standard garage.
It is actually about one inch higher than my garage door. Any ideas or suggestions to take it in? Thanks!
@@jimlai2533 - my buddy had a trailer that was just high enough to not fit in the garage. He let air out of the tires to lower the r trailer and it fit. Then he bought a compressor to reinflate tires when he pulled the camper out of the garage. “Your mileage may vary”, but something to try.
@@ppainterco Thanks for your info. I’m also exploring the option to raise my garage door height which maybe a bit of overkill.
@@jimlai2533 Let some air out of your tires.
This video was VERY helpful with the side by side comparisons! You did an excellent job.
One day I may get one of these trailers and was researching the differences between these two.
The Mini Max is is more comparable to the nüCamp T@b 400 in size, features and layout.
Great review!! Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you do a comparison of both of these but at 2023?
You should have also compared interior height of he two units. T@B is 2" shorte (except for the overhead A?C unit in the mini max
Tab has a Grey water tank too dude 😅
The rack on the back of the Nu-Camp would be a perfect place for zombies to grab hold. When will you people learn?!
I have the Mini Max for two years now. I purchase the Mini over the Tab due my height of 72". The refrigerator was another selling point. My bed setup is different and better than the current year. The Mini is holding up great with no issues. Note: the AC will run you out. Is there a way to have a rear hitch receiver on a Tab for a bike rack?
The tab does not have a rear hitch which is why they have the bike racks on the back. But I understand your reasonings for going with the Mini Max!
I’m only 4 feet 11 so I’m actually looking for something small so that I can reach everything. Also I want that nice big back window. Windows windows windows!
Did you look at the Meerkat?
Good job on your comparison of these. Thx!
I have a 2014 Little Guy T@G, which is similar in shape to the T@B, but shorter, smaller. It’s amazing to me that somewhere along the line, NuKamp came to own the T@Bs and T@Gs, and now Little Guy is competing. Or are they just different divisions of the same company?
Also, I had an issue outside the warranty period and Little Guy not only fixed the problem under as under warranty, but they also made a few updates to the trailer. Again, I’ve had the T@G since 2013 and it’s been relatively problem free, though I have the Basic model without AC and entertainment systems, so there is far less to break. I’ve been Uber happy with it and am kicking around the idea of upgrading to a T@B.
nuCamp (Pleasant Valley Trailers is on your title) always made them and up until 2017, Little Guy handled Sales and distribution, but they have always been made by the same folks in Sugarcreek, OH, since around 2012.
Man I really want something small like this but preferably all aluminum or all fiberglass exterior that somehow can sleep 4 lmao. I wouldn’t mind something larger but I’ve been researching for months now and I’ve just not found anything that is ideal to me personally
I like the tab 320 due to the bed set up
Minimax is much nicer!
Tab 320 is excellent
Where is the spare tire located on the Tab?
How did you guys get these in without them already having been sold and on order for people?
I have questions re the Tab 320. First, where’s the spare tire stored, and is it the same tire/wheel size as the Boondocks tires that are in place? Also, what is the GVWR of the Tab 320? Thanks for the great comparison video, too! Much appreciated.
My spare tire is under the hitch, not in danger of bottoming out on a road. As I recall, I can put close to 1,000 lbs in this 2000 pound trailer. The info is on there web site.
I appreciate the detailed comparison. Considering downsizing from a 30’ travel trailer with slide out. Had several pop-up campers in the past that stored in the garage. A teardrop may be a happy medium. Will these teardrop trailers work for 3 season camping? Living in the Pacific Northwest, we often have 3 season camping.
nice job Sir.
To be fair, your height doesn't allow you to fit in the mini Max comfortably. So that may also play a part in your decision. I'm short so i don't like the microwave up high. And the mini Max has a larger refrigerator. As you mentioned, where someone is planning on taking one of these trailers will factor into the decision on which to purchase. Both prices are pretty reasonable and about the same. I kinda like the layout of the t@b 400 better. I think I like the miniMax better, but I like more storage.
I like the Tab 320, because I don't like the big window over the bed.
The Stargazing window is an option. You can order one without it I believe.
What about the electronics of the Mini Max? outside speakers and tv hook up so on.
i love this guy!!!!
The tab.
Looking for something that will go through a 82" high garage door
It would be Great if you reviewed the Micro Max unit from little guy.
It would be great if they sent me one! I will if we ever get one!
@@mylesrv if eventually you don't get it, I would appreciate it if you looked it up and gave me your opinion on it. We really like your reviews, the point of views and key factor on each unit.
Mini Max wins, however, both do not have much storage space. Sadly, the interior height for me is a deal breaker. Nice trailers, though.
Keep it up I love the way you get in the bed and in the shower and show real-world conditions thanks👍
Prices?
I like the mini max. I have a 2019 hybrid RAV4 limited. Can my vehicle pull the mini max?
Based on the base towing capacity listed for your vehicle (1750 lbs), I believe both trailers are too heavy.
You will not be able to. You would need something like a NuCamp Tag. Which we do have one of currently!
*The 'NuCamp' wins!* *Know why?* *Because it has a 'window-box' type A/C instead of that ugly-ass 'Hump' on the roof that drones and 'buzzes' every instant it's running* *That's why*
Mini Max is the best trailer for me tat had everything.
In-house financing ?
Can a regular rigid solar panel be put on the Little Guy? Those flex panels don't last and they cause excessive heat underneath them.
Is there a difference in floor construction? GREAT Video Though
Could you stand up in the 320?
yes... but not without my head hitting the ceiling haha! I did a video of the Tab 320 on my page where I show myself standing in it.
Can these fit in a standard garage?
No they can not unfortunately.
Towing weights?
Price ???
Of which one?
Price
You did not mention the cassette toilet in the 320, does the max have blk tank
Watch the video again He did
Can the tab 320 be towed with a fore ranger?
Yes it can
A 5 gal black tank is way too small.
Why don't you tell the price?
I’m not allowed to put a sales price in the video.
@tab
Starts at 2:50 alot of blah blah blah before review
'
all 5 camper trailers are NOT good / NOT safety...
stop watch at 045
Thanks for your feedback
buy a R pob
Take your shoes off! That is so rude.
Don't review if you don't know shit.
This video seemed really amateurish.
Thanks… we are all armatures at everything we do until we’ve done it enough to no longer be an amateur
They are small campers. They are not teardrops.
How exactly are they not teardrops? Literally everyone I’ve ever heard in this industry talk about these trailers refers to them as teardrop trailers
Didn't talk about cost.
You didn’t watch the entire video!
