- Ranking The Best Vampire ORIGIN Stories || There are dozens of different vampire origins stories from series, movies, and books, all of which give their own take on how the species or the first vampire originated. Some are really cool, some are not so cool and just plain ridiculous but we’re not going to look at the ridiculous ones today, we’ll save that for another video..Today we are going to look at the best vampire origin stories of all time.

🎀I’m surprised more people don’t like the strain. Maybe because Torro always does his dark fantasy with such great psychological horror, that people find it too believable? I dunno 😂. Speaking of Vlad's transformation into Dracula in Coppola's film, I like to think that the Orthodox priests thought when they saw the demonic blood flowing through the church: "Wait? This sh*t was actually real?!" 😨
Well speaking of copolas movie. The preist is played Anothony Hopkins, who also plays van helsing . So as Mina is reincarnation of Vlads wife Elizabetha. Van Helsing is a reincarnation of preist who cursed Dracula to become a vampire. Meaning that the battle between these two has been going on for centuries. As different reincarnations of the preist most properbly has fought Dracula in four centuries leading up to the movie taking place in 1897.
Another vampire with a great origin is the vampire Eli/Elias from "Let the Right One In." The concept of a child who was chosen randomly among the children of his village to become, against his will, a castrated undead of feminine appearance condemned to live all eternity in a child's body is quite tragic and terrifying.
To think that all this sh*t with Dracula happened because of this dialogue:

@VampireFolkloreVideos once again you omit one of my all time favorite Vampire movies 1998's VAMPIRES by John Carpenter...Valek's origin story is one of the best! Also Marcus Corvinus from the Underworld franchise should have made the list...

Imo with Dracula 2000, God cursed him to b a threat to humanity just to make him suffer is not a good idea. People would b dying and damned to hell once they r turned, instead of by their own actions and deeds since it corrupts them. Dracula Untold is my absolute favorite. As I've said before and I keep on so the whole world knows it, there is a website of Draucla wiki, at the page of untold vampires that tell of a whole list of theroies of possible powers they have. Which would b so awsome if they made sequals and show them all. Here's 2 more origins stories that should b mentioned Dean; the ones from True Blood and Morbius: The Living Vampire. With the 2nd, vampires there r not undead, they r still alive.
If Judas became something after his betrayal, it has to be a werewolf. The idea that the silver he received had become the thing that would kill him is a great plot, IMO.
hi have you read the series night huntress by jeaniene frost. i love the vampires in the series bones the main vampire is a wonderfully vampire and so funny. i LOVE him. we also have vlad the impaler in the books and he also gets his own series. i LOVE THESE BOOKS and highly recommend them
My favorite vampire movies and shows are the underworld series, Dracula untold , the vampire diaries, Buffy the vampire slayer, the originals 😊

I LOVED Dracula Untold. Easily my favorite. Luke evens even nailed the historical side of it PERFECTLY.
My top favorites are the Mikaelson family and World of Darkness/Vampire the Masquerade. In the case of the Mikaelsons, it was interesting that this process of turning revealed Nik to be the bastard offspring of Esther's affair with one of the wolves, since it activated his werewolf curse/gene when he killed someone for the first time.... thus also making him the first hybrid wolf/vampire creature. (*also the likely reason his father Mikael had a special level of disdain/hatred for Nik in particular)
WoD's vampire origin goes into amazing detail in explaining the lineage of everything from Cain, who sired 3 that went on to sire the 3rd generation ancient vamps who would later be known as the "antediluvians", the origin point for the various clans of vamps in that world (except for 2 clans that originated through other means).... there's a lot of fascinating backstory material going on there.
You should do true blood and also rank them from strongest to weakest

Mikael wouldn’t be called Mikael Mikaelson. It’s was tradition for vikings to use their first name with son at the end instead of family surnames. In theory Rebekah should have a slightly different last name as well but I understand why they didn’t do that.
The show Vikings uses this with the sons having the last name Ragnarssons.

There's an origin that is valid from a science fiction perspective. That vampires on earth are an offshoot from an alien race of beings from a desert planet from the far side of our galaxy. After a brutal interstellar war in that part of the galaxy that laid waste to several planets. The name of the planet is Khemeta and it was no accident that these beings arrived in Egypt in ancient times.
Once you reach vampire the masquerade, you might just flip out

I thought Dracula 2000 was not a bad movie, not the best, and the story was awesome.
But regardless Bram Stokers Dracula is and always will be the best vampire movie of all time.

Honestly, I hate when writers write vampires so they're dependent on an original of their species for survival and when the original dies they all die. I prefer franchise where vampires are a species that evolved. Also I don't like when vampire origins are connected to werewolves like the vampire diaries and underworld.

I low-key hate Francis fords Dracula! I actually hate it when they make him a broken hearted lover. I like the more monster version of the character like he is in the book. He doesn’t want to date/Marry you. He wants to toy with you then eat you! Like how a cat catches a mouse! 🩸🦇💋
