- Hello everyone, welcome back to another video. I’d say that some of you may have been waiting on this video after I’ve made so many individual vampire chronicles videos so I thought to myself, let’s rank my top 5 Vampire’s from the chronicles. Before I begin I have to tell you that you may not see the vampire you want to see in the position you want to see them. I’ve taken a lot of things into consideration and the age of the vampire will not be the only factor in ranking what vampire is placed where. This is my absolute number one all time favourite vampire series so I’m really excited to bring this video to you all today. Make sure to comment your top 5 most powerful vampires from the chronicles in the comment section down below.

5. Armand
4. Louis (after Merrick)
3. Pandora
2. Marius
1. The First Brood
I had a feeling that Lestat would be your number one on this list. Truly, there is no other Blood Drinker as truly immortal as Lestat is. The source of his power is more than the Blood given to him... it is his irrepressible nature. His desire to experience. His will to live. He has survived so many things - assassinations, attempted un-aliving, even madness as a result of his tour of Heaven and Hell with the Devil himself (allegedly). *** POTENTIAL SPOILER FOR _BLOOD COMMUNION_ *** He even single-handedly DESTROYED Rhoshamandes - a five thousand year old Blood Drinker (AND his great grandfather in the Blood)! That's gotta tell you something!
He figures out that he could kill him by using Speed and Surprise and literally drains Roshamandes of his life force
lol
It bothers me so much Akasha killed her husband of 4000 years for Lestat. Like really?
There are people in the real world that leave there spouse of 20+ years for a hot young fling. Is this really that far fetched? Lol
@@thetokenwon506 I think it is, 4000 years is like many lifetimes. They’d both be better off if Enkil killed Lestat when he fed from Akasha the first time but Marius stopped him. Lestat disrupted those peoples whole situation. Iconic Egyptian-turned-vampire king and queen meet their ends behind freaking Lestat of all people, it ain’t right!
They were both pretty much stagnant statues for most, it not all, those 4,000 years. Idk about you but if I had to spend sitting 4,000 as a statue beside a man, the spark would be out. 😭
@@analynn8110 if she wanted to be alone she didn’t have to turn him to begin with. She could have just been a vampire queen regnant and ruled alone but she wanted Enkil to be by her side as he was in their human life as rulers. It’s so romantic then she ruins it over blondie.
@@ninetimesaday you describe them as though they were some loving couple that Lestat preyed on. They tormented and tortured people for speaking out against them and when finally awakened Akasha tried to commit genocide! It's better off with them both dead!
I agree with your list of the most powerful vampires from the Anne Rice vampire chronicles. Akasha was, along with Maharet and Makare (I hope I spelled that right) three of the most POWERFUL vampires. This would include Enkil and Kaymen, who were all made with in a few month's of Akasha becoming a vampire.
Akasha, of course, carried the core, which was actually it's own entity, a being that Maharet and makare came to know while still human, as Amel.
The once-in-a-billion situation that allowed amel to go in to Akashas body and make them one is described BRILLIANTLY by Anne Rice (who is clearly a genius) in the third book in the vampire chronicles "Queen of the Damned".
The entire story is explained in that book. It's so well thought out that it seems scientifically possible that vampires could actually exist.
Theres of course the physical vampire power that comes with age, but the fact that Maharet never slept or hibernated makes her probably more powerful than many of the vampires her age, which was 6,000 years old, the same as Akasha.
Does sleeping like Akasha did make you more powerful? Yes of course her physical vampire power might have been concentrated and enhance for centuries by her long, long periods of sleeping, sitting on her throne with enkil like living statues.
Or was Maharet more POWERFUL because she never slept. She was active all that time. So both her mental capacities and physical vampire power were enhanced beyond those who were her age, like Enkil, Akasha, Kaymen, and makare.
It's a FANTASTIC idea!
Great list. Jessie stated that Maharet had powers that couldn't be conceived of and I believe it. Marius and Pandora drank from Akasha much more than Lestat did. Vampires become more powerful after burning and recovering. Gregory sleeps in a tomb without a roof and is burned by the sun when he sleeps to darken his skin. Roshamandes burnt down Lestat's town and destroyed a big chunk of his castle in a short time. It's really hard to make a list mostly because Lestat gets more and more powerful with each book. I'm glad Armand was included because although he is young, he has possibly the greatest power when it comes to the Mind Gift.
Is akasha the tittle of the movie??
@@funnydesiboyscomedy5640Akasha shows up in Queen of The Damned. Warning… it’s nothing like the book
That's Gregory that sleeps with an open roof
@@riverjordan1983 Thank you for the correction, I mix up Seth and Gregory often.
I agree fully with your list. Ive read all the books and your logic is airtight
I love anything vampire related. I remember enjoying Lestat's book so much more than Interview.
I'd like to request a video that explores Alice Cullen's backstory.
Words cannot express my love for these books. I'm doing an audiobook run of the series now I'm up to "tale of the body thief"
Just finished the audios for body thief and Memnoch...🥰😍🥰😍🥰
All the narrators for the audiobooks are great
Fun list but Lestat would, could and has been overpowered by ANY ancient vampire.
I love Marius. Of all the characters, he is my favorite. I wish you could do some videos on the Mayfair witches. so many good books done on them by Anne. The blending of the Mayfairs and the vampires are some of the most captivating stories she wrote.
Marius is also my favorite and only one that Lestat seems to respect and sometimes even almost fear.
So glad I found this channel! Great content and discussions
This was a tough list to make. You did a good job.
I read these books years ago and I love them so much. My personal favorites are tale "the body thief"And "Prince Lestat". I love the appreciation and enthusiasm you bring to your videos. On a personal note, i like the way your voice sounds. Sometimes i just listen to your videos like a mini audiobook.
I love the way you comprised the list. I've no complaints
I agree with your list of the most powerful. However, the way you put it, it seemed you also were asking for our favorites vampire, which doesn't have to be equal to the ones we deemed as the most powerful. If so, these are my top 3 fav vampires:
- Marius
- David (I think David would've made it into a list of the top 10 most powerful, Lestat said when he made him that he had given him enough blood to make him as powerful as the elders)
- Lestat
I knew for some reason it was going to be Lestat, having a charismatic charm and having been through so much in his vampire life from drinking from Marius and Akasha and being an only fledgling of a 300 year old who'd never shared it with anyone in his life up until Magnus forces the dark gift on Lestat against his will and I think that those who choose to be made often go mad after 300 years or end up killing themselves shortly after with the exception of Louis who is an extraordinary vampire due to his mentality of a Vampire with a Human soul and conscious, it's a long comment I know, but this is my personal favourite take on the Vampire legend, I always thought Vampires were rather dull to them being just portrayed as Evil and killing machines, until I saw Interview with the vampire on TV and recorded it again when I was 15 years old and watched it so much that the vhs began to wear out in places were I rewound to watch again especially the absolutely cool way even though it's not canon when Lestat is hiding in the back seat of Daniel Malloy's car, grabs him and says : I assume I need no introduction? And takes the wheel of Daniels car with a brilliant 18th century score and is hilariously bantering about Louis's whining and he's had to listen to that for centuries and turns the radio on with a fantastic choice of rock perfect for Lestat, Sympathy for the devil, and the epic :I'm going to give you the choice I never had...
Many were powerful but didn't know about their abilities unless they accidentally found out or were told aout them.
1.Akasha. Marius battled Eudoxia and accidentally Rashid on fire. He didn't know that he could do that or that he had powered up that much. Akasha used to burn vampires with lanterns but first used the fire gift to kill Eudoxia because of Marius's discovery.
2. Enkil- well, before Akasha Capri Sun-ed him.
3. Marius- Drank often enough from Akasha that he could match other ancient ones who had also drank from Akasha.
4. Mekhare especially after ingesting the core. Unfortunately she was driven mad and couldn't strategize. If you handed her a gun she'd probably just beat you to death with it.
5. Lestat- sole fledgling of Magnus, drank from Akasha. Ingested the core.
Honorable mention goes to Merrick for being a heretic. The Twins lost their magic abilities when they were given the dark gift.
This makes more sense
Spot on, except khayman should've been with the twins, wish we knew more about Armand thou as it's always implied he's more powerful that were told
Can you do a video about Vanessa Van Helsing from Van Helsing TV show please
Great list of the greats 👍
I actually agree with your top 5. 👍🏾
I’m just 2 books in (interview and Lestat). I’m loving it !
Interesting list and thanks for inspiration.
1. Armand (Amadeo will always be extra special)
2. Louis (the struggling within the darkness)
3. Lestat (he does have a lot of humour and you can't ignore the connection he shares with Louis)
4. Little (older) Claudia Claudette
5. Madeline (not a vampire for long, but with such sad pure reasons.)
I wanted to add Marius somewhere inbetween since he saved Amadeo and their bond was so strong, but I could not ignore Lestat.
I don't know about my list, but I do hope the upcoming series will have Lestat as a rock star like in QotD. Probably like in S2.
Lame
@@peopleschampiii584 how?
Having him be a rock star is not plausible in this day and age. They could mention it in passing
@@petboy5839 yeah I don’t see the whole rockster part
@@petboy5839 they're making preparations for rockstar! Lestat in season 3.
Great video! Totally agree 👍
Unless it's like anime or comic characters Anne Rice's vampires have to be probably the most blatantly powerful vampires in fiction. The upper echelon of them at least
And twilight vampires. People hate on twilight but as a die hard vampire fan, the vampires from twilight are some of the most powerful vampire adaptations I’ve ever read or watched. The story itself sucks, but the lore is actually amazing.
Good list, I knew Lestat would be in it. I haven't read the books since they are not possible to find in my country, but I love the movies.
Can you make a list of top 5 most powerful vampires from True blood?
you can read the books from websites for free
Can you please do a top 10 of this and underworld and twilight vampires please I enjoy your videos
I don’t think I can argue with your logic although I can see arguments for other characters.
Would be interested to consider continue on anna rice's books to complete the rest into movies so far interview the vampire and Queen of the damned was done.
Will you eventually do videos on the wolf gift books 📚 🤔
Where did the comic pages depicting parts of Queen of the Damned come from? I've never come across a graphic novel of it
You should do one on Jerry Dandrige and sister Regina .would be appreciated
U have soothing voice
Well can't say I agree with your top 5 but here's mine. I've considered age and feats of strength for this list, which is why some of the most ancient aren't here as they have no particular feats of strength.
5: Roshamandes - Rosh was never a fighter for most of his 5000 years but when circumstances forced him to battle others he swiftly became extremely proficient in using all of his vampiric gifts to great effect.
4: Lestat - probably the most questionable on this list but his powers are much greater than any Vampire of similar age due to the vast amounts of ancient blood he has drunk. I also put him here for his destruction of Roshamandes, a Vampire of 5000 years in the blood and who was powerful enough to battle and confuse multiple children of the Millenia at the same time.
3: Cyril - This spot could have gone to Gregory, Seth, Mekare, Khayman or Maharet who are all much older, but none of these have any particuarly impressive feats of strength. Maharet and Khayman were both easily dispatched by younger vampires whilst Mekare was mindless and never used her powers. Although Cyril's age is unknown he battle and easily overcame Baudwin. Baudwin was fledging of Gundasanthe and the maker or Roland who was known to be around 3000.
2: Gundasanthe - Not much known is about him but he is one of the most ancient being perhaps the 4th or 5th Vampire created. My reason for putting him so high on the list is simply that when he was with others searching for Marius, Louis and Gabrielle he could hear the heartbeat of Marius first and most clearly. Gregory another ancient present at the time wasn't able to hear this until Santhe had pointed it out.
1: Akasha - no real need to explain her.. she was the oldest and she held the sacred core for 6000 years. Also at the time of awakening she drained every drop of blood from Enkil which presumably enhanced her powers greatly above the other of similar age.
How to you feel about the series on AMC? Me personally, I’m not too excited and I’m born in raised as a Creole in New Orleans
Even though AMC changed a lot of things, I'm very curious about the tv show, I'll give it a chance. Let's have an opened mind, shall we...
Charity Hospital baby also but I want 2 see how the characters develop. I have read most of the Vampire Chronicles & would love to see how they portray some characters that are not in the 2 movies we kno already.
Lestat is number one for sure!!
How can Khayman be left out of this list??? He is the one who turned the twins!! He is the second vampire ever made after Enkil!! Is so unfair that Armand is in this list but Khayman is not???? That’s crazy!! I really like the list and agree with most but not that!! Khayman should be here!!
Totally agree!! Plus Khayman is one of my favorite.
Khayman's dead.
@@AndresGuazzelli So is Akasha
@@richardclark1127 Exactly. So it's either both or none. At the very least, Seth, Nebamun, Roshamandes, Teskhamen, Marius, all the true Children of the Milennia should be on the list.
At this point in the story (granted, haven't read Atlantis), it's Lestat as #1 as the King of the Damned and then, all the ancient ones.
Yay new video!
Agree with your top 5. But in 5th position i/o Armand I would have placed Louis or David because both of them drank Lestat's blood (Louis after Merrick's "episode"). Both Louis and David are almost as powerful as Lestat.
Lestat en première position était une évidence 😎
From the books, Lestat was always my favorite
There is also a new INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE show.
I ended up binge-watching vampire videos here on UA-cam.
Some of you should give the WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS franchise a chance, Comedy Gold!!!
The shortmovie is nice, the movie is amazing, the show is a masterpiece.
There is also a spinn-off series called WELLINGTON PARANORMAL, jackpot!
Nandor The Relentless????
My favorite of the vampires of this series is Marius, mainly because he was a very smart vampire, and knew how to be one without anybody knowing it.
Can you do a video on my girl Merrick Mayfair?
If Loui fed off Lestat, does that mean the Loui is super powerful as well?
"YOU'RE A KILLER, LOUIS!"
I can’t see Armand being stronger than Khayman who made the twins
Marius is my favorite my 2nd would be Lestat and then the Queen
Marius is the far superior vampire. His story, his power and his importance in my opinion puts him at the top of my list.
The only thing Amc interview with the vampire tv show didn't change was lestat
You pretty much got it right.
Im hiring Niklaus saying “im not on the list ,how dare you”😂
Lestat only got as strong as he did do to drinking akashas blood so how can he be ranked higher than her makes no sense I disagree with the list but I still love the content
Because then he took Amel inside him.
Blackwood pharms and blood canticle
Love this list, but how the hell is Khayman not on it 😭
What about traquin blackwood
doesn't sounds like Lestst to call himself prince when in actuality he is king....
It would appear I've been hibernating in my coffin lol, I popped into YT and was like "oh he uploaded a buncha stuff!"
Flawless logic I might add...and my agreement has absolutely...totally....nothing to do with my possible being of a Lestat simp. Not a single way in hell, oh no no.
They need to the 5 best vampire slayers then: Buffy, Abraham Lincoln, the Priests, Van Helsing & Blade.
Don't agree with Armand being # 5 there are older vampires in the series maybe in the top 10 but not # 5
I bet Enkil is a combination of the Sumarian Gods Enlil and Enki
Dude you say you're a fan of the vampire Chronicles. I can think of several vampires stronger than the ones on your list. Did you even consider vampires like Rhoshamandes or Seth? Have you even read the last three books she wrote before she died? There are so many more powerful vampires that just Eclipse several of the ones you listed on your list.
armand is my fav. as portrayed by banderas, even though it is not accurate to the books. i also enjoyed marius, though again not book accurate. i hated lestat from queen of the damned, this time from the film.
I think I’d probably get bored if I was immortal lol 😂
Little king little kingdom
The Brat Prince will always be number one. Khayman (my Khayman) should have been on there.
Rhoshamandes has left the chat.
What about Vittorio
Vampira, Vampire in Brooklyn, Count Dracula, Grace Jones Vamp 🤣
QOTD went wrong bc they tried to shove 12 books into ONE movie…
Magnus would kick all their asses 🤘
People who are saying Lestat is not the most powerful haven't got a clue. Nothing about Lestat's power is open to discretion, or implied. Annre Rice lays it out plainly. He is the most powerful and its not even open for debate. They all take it in shifts to keep an eye on him after Memnoch the Devil cause they are scared of what he's capable of.
Akashi! Aaliyah!
Duh
I loved armand, I read all the vampire chronicles in prison, and related to his being imprisoned, I couldn't believe he finally gave in the satanic cult, but the fact that they worshiped God for creating Satan was the catch for him..
Khayman and Mael....that is all.
Marius is the most powerful!!!! Not Armand! And Marius have BLOND/YELLOW HAIR (not black) ARMAND'S HAIR IS SHOULDER LENGTH IN THE BOOKS!!!!! I wish they they re-do these movies again, with the right actors!!!!!! And more of David Talbot (please). I love Lestat (The wolf killer)! Crazy as he is, he's got balls to go into the body thief, and hated it! But then David Talbot took over that body, and interviewed (Pandora)! Pleasemi hope they re-do these movies, as the books are out of this world!
Yeah i explained all of this in the life of Marius
I want Armand’s beautiful red dressing gown.🩸💋🩸
Akasha then Enkil then Mekare then Maharet and lastly Khayman. But since Akasha and Enkil are eventually killed, Khayman is the most powerful but he, too, later on gets killed in the series. So it falls to the twins and Maharet is killed. So Mekare is next in line, Lestat, Louis because he drank from Lestat, Marius and lastly Armand
Why would you place Mekare below Akasha? She literally walked in the room and insta killed her. It doesnt make much sense as to why she was so much stronger but she obviously was lol. Also you placed Armand and Marius above Khayman? Seriously!?! Lmao
Bc ripping Akasha's head offf definitely was powerful but also Akasha could have easily incinerated Mekare
@Igorxian i dont believe she could have. She tried to incenerate Khayman and he actually threw the fire back at her. In fact every time she tried to fight one of the first brood except enkil, she either ran away or died lmao
Akasha is way more powerful than Lestat, so Akasha she should be number 1
She is no longer more powerful. According others in one of the last books he takes on the spirit of Amel and becomes Prince Lestat, most powerful vampire in the World and the leader of the Vampires.
Akasha and Enkil are 6000 years old 😂 you gotta read
What about Edward Cullen???
Sorry bud but that list isn't right
It’s my list
Fair enough
...are the Twilight Vampires. Change my mind. They can walk in sunlight, they don't sleep, don't look like animals when feeding. You can't kill them, only other vampires can. Garlic doesn't do shizz...yeah, no contest. Okay, they're not from the Chronicle..my bad.
They made a show of interview with the vampire, can you discuss the differences. I'm completely horrified. Even though vampires can't have sex they're sexualizing the hell out of it. From what I read in all of Anne Rice's books vampires were extremely sensual.
They're just making things up and ruining her characters. I wish someone would just make the vampire lestat or even the mayfair witches into a show instead of always focusing on interview with the vampire which was already done well the first time.
5) Roshamontes
4) Khayman
3) Gemelas (Maharet y Mekare)
2) Akasha
1) Lestat
Gracias
