    that salmon would look good on my dinner plate . . . LOL

    Great Video. Just got me Stingeye spinners and can't wait to try them. Are you tying the leader directly to the braid

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  6 років тому

      ....i always use a fluoro leader line, off my braid (sometimes mono). I tie the leader line to my braid using a uni knot...here is one our our older vids :) ua-cam.com/video/7CmRxGNnxHo/v-deo.html

    Thanks for your video, could you please let me know the exact specification and brand of your rid and reel?
    Also I have a question, why anglers mostly use different pound test line from main line?sometimes use florocarbon line stronger or weaker than main line,why they do not use same power line for leader and mainline? Appreciate

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  4 роки тому +1

      rod was Quantum Tour edition rod, and the reel was a bass pro shops formula real, FML40. Using a fluoro leader line to your main line, in order to have less visibility (i.e. if main line is braid or mono, good to use a fluoro leader. If you main line is heavy, and you want/need a more finesse presentation, you tie on a lighter leader line - sometimes, you are fishing rocky areas and need to have a heavier leader line as it is more abrasion resistant..it is also very common to use the same lb test line on your main line, as your leader line - plenty of different scenarios :)

    What pounder leader are you running should I use 15 or 20

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  6 років тому

      .....suggest going heavier, so use the 20 lb for salmon :)

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  6 років тому

      Gold for dark cloudy days or dark stained water, silver for sunny days/clear water and chartreuse or black, anytime :)

      @thundermistlures  6 років тому +1

      ...very close...the Glenn :) WPL is better though, with a lot more room and more concentrated fish :)

    Talking about setting the hook! One time I had a good bite on, I waited a few seconds then I went to set the hook and that hook came flying out of the water so fast it almost hit me in the head. No fish on the line but I noticed something real real small on my hook, so I look a little closer and sure as hell there was fish lips nothing but fish lips at the end of my hook. Poor fishy!
