Why does everyone think that if you aren't doing the flop you are doing "bad" or "wrong" technique? There are different ways to attempt the high jump, such as the straddle and the scissor kick. Just because the flop is the best technique to achieve the highest result, doesn't mean that anything other than that is wrong.
