- I had a hard time getting the buttkicker to work with my 7.1 headsets. So here is a short video to help you get it working within a few minutes.

Ty so much. So far, it’s been fun using it plugnplay by splitting the output with the y-cable. But it started to introduce a ton of static. Tomorrow I am planning to move the buttkicker to a dedicated sound card. Your video makes me feel confident and hopefully will save me a lot of headaches. I’ll let you know tomorrow!
Thank you for this information. I have been trying everything that I could think of to try & get my Butt Kicker to work completely independantly to my USB headphones. This works brilliantly.
That is great news enjoy 👍🏻
Great video and much needed. No video like this so thanks so much. You gained a sub here!
Glad to help thank you 👍🏻
3rd time using this video. I've rebuilt my pc and helped a friend with his buttkicker using this video. Thank You!
After a two weeks, I think you solved my issues, will try tonight with new usb sound card
Thanks for a great video! It was most helpful, specifically with regard to the profiles you use. Liked and subscribed :) .
Hi Eddie I’m glad it helped thx for the like and sub. Take care
Hey thanks for taking the time to make this vid. I have had my BK G2 for three days and cannot get it to work; I was just about to return it as defective. I have a feeling that the info here will solve the riddle. Thanks again m8.
You are welcome
Nice one mate. Had exactly the same issues your instructions sorted it
Thanks man that was a big help the window was open and it was going out until is found your help video 👍
Awesome enjoy 👍🏻
Thanks a lot for your youtube post detailed. I was in trouble with my buttckicker gamer and my usb headset. hello from France!
I’m glad you got it to work enjoy
So glad I found this video. Great job. I've had a BK2 in the box for a while and have been intimidated about hooking it up. you've given me confidence!! Does it have to be under the seat?
That is great i hope it works for you. No it doesn’t but I think you will feel it better if it is around your seat somewhere. Have fun.
@@thesimlounge8285 It worked great!! Thanks for saving me so much time and hassle!!
I’m so glad this helped you. Have fun take care. 👍🏻
Thanks for this, do you need to have hapticonnect running at the same time as simhub?
Thank you..
I have had the same issue as you and have been using Voicemeter. Before I purchase the external soundcard do you think it would be possible to hook the Buttkicker to a 3.5 jack on the monitor instead?
My usb sound card for my buttkicker is 5.1 and I am wondering if it’s ok to use a Y cable to join R&L front audio outputs together before the amp input? Then perhaps a second buttkicker & amp with R&L rear with Y cable to join the two rear channels. Why would you only want 1 out of 5 channels giving signal to your transducer?
I am not sure I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Let me know how you made out if you try it.
Hi sir,,why i dont get that headset icon,,i have logitect pro usb headset, thanks
Thank you for this beautiful vdo which served me well ... I solved a lot of problem thanks to your vdp .... Nevertheless, could you tell me why my buttkicker stops working at times and then comes back ... It looks like it heats up, waits to cool down and then works again ... What do you think I should do and above all, has this ever happened to you? Thank you.
hey, did you solve? I'm also with that problem! It's very frustrating...
What are your sound settings in iracing? I am having so much trouble with this buttkicker I am ready to toss the whole thing in the back yard. Also have you paid for simhub subscription?
Let me check my settings I’ll get back to you. And no I use the free version.
thank you for your tutorial but it does not work for flight simulation (xplane or fs2020). Simhub detect the buttkicker and the vibrations of the preset do work in the configuration mode but since those games are not in the game list, it it not working when i open them.
Hi David well that’s a bummer I hope they fix that soon
What if Im using a vr headset? How can I, launch simhub using VR so I could take full advantage of simhub bass shaker.
Great question I’m not sure I have never used VR can you launch sim hub first? You would think it would work just like using monitors.
@@thesimlounge8285 I'm going to try it out. Great channel BTW 🔥🔥
Let me know how you make out. Thank you.
Hi great video👍🏾 I have a question. I'm on a ps4. How do i set up the buttkicker for ps4?
Good question let me see what I can come up with
Here is a forum with the ps4

I hope this helps
Will this work with onboard soundcard? Iam going nuts over this, voicemeeter works but sometimes the sound is just awful and it has a certain lag that I cannot get rid of. I have a USB headset and the buttkicker is plugged into the onboard soundcard, I can set it up in simhub, testing works also but I don't have any sound in-game. Maybe I have to test a little bit more.
That’s the problem i was having as well. I recommend getting a cheap usb sound card and use that. It’s works great. That way your onboard sound card doesn’t have to split the sound from game and butt kicker.
@@thesimlounge8285 okay thank you, I just ordered one from Amazon. Most ppl recommend voicemeeter but I cannot see how this could be a long term solution. Too much lag and awful quality sometimes. Thanks and have a nice day
Good deal
Did this actually work? I don’t see how this technically is remotely possible. If you’re telling the software to play through headphones but connect to the onboard card, you’re not going to get headphone audio AND it shake in your butt - it’s going to make that rumble noise in your ear based on the wiring you showed. Was there some part you left out where there’s a splitter? Or am I missing something ? Bc I’ve seen a lot of people struggle but it’s bc they don’t have the proper order of cables connected to the splitter. Again I don’t wanna make assumptions at all but on the limited wiring I saw with no spec knowledge you run, you shouldn’t need a card based on the hardware you showed. But if there’s something I can learn about these sound cards that would be amazing . Did you just not have luck with the splitter ? I noticed you only plugged one cable into the red white ports in the back - did you try the proper pole connectors into the splitters using rca?
It works great I hear game sound? Crew chief through my headset and my buttkicker works great. No I didn’t leave anything out that is step by step. I have had tons of people use this and they got great results. That’s why I made the video because it works great.
Correct as they likely are not in need of a separate sound card it just so happens. My point is just theoretical at this point given you ended up getting a sound card - but I don’t see why you needed one. With a sound card, to be clear, this is all correct don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea of what I’m saying. I suppose my only question out of sheer curiosity did you try a splitter or just went straight to game card? Hope that makes sense - not trying to say this is wrong. But I’m assuming there’s some connection implicit between the headphones and the sound card as you’ve connected inside sim hub to a device that doesn’t have a tangible link to your headphones.
I tried it without the external sound card and I had a mess coming through my head set. I was getting buttkicker game sound and crew chief all
Through headset. This was the only way to separate them. I even tried a software but that was awful. This was the easiest way I found to make it work.
Seems the inexpensive external usb soundcard addition is the key.... buttkicker mounted, I have usb headset... Voicemeeter thing I just could not get to work smoothly (bass also coming through headset, and audio sounds came through buttkicker).... so External Soundcard ordered and arrives tomorrow.
I'll follow what you did and hope it all works...
Please post your result. I am doing the same.
Confirmed, inexpensive external usb sounded from amazon solves issues immediately. Now the trick appears to be fine tuning the effects in simhub to give a great experience.
That’s great. Yes i made a few different profiles in sim hub for different cars that I drive. I still mess with the settings when i get running. But that’s part of the fun. Enjoy.
I use an external usb sound card and use voicemeeter banana for my regular games like warthunder, arma 3, etc. For the racing sims, I use simhub (actually purchased it). I was already using it for an extra display on my tablet. It all works great. The only problem i am currently having is my buttkicker gamer 2 amp keeps overheating and shutting down. If I turn the volume down to about 50%, it no longer overheats but the shaking is too minimal. Looking at adding a fan or 2 to the buttkicker amp and see if that fixes the problem.
Hi mark I have had mine shut down as well so I turn it down. I didn’t think about using a fan. Let me know if that works for you. Thank you.
BTW you can also use an xbox controller plugged into USB. Plug the Butt kicker into the headphone port, works perfect.
Good to know thank you
Thank you Adam! This does work!
I’m glad it worked for you enjoy
@@thesimlounge8285 thanks for making your video because if it wasn't for it, I wouldn't have figured it out or I would've had to wait a few days for an adapter.
Thanks sir
I’m glad i could help
@@thesimlounge8285 you really did. I was close of putting the sucker in the bin. 😁 thanks again
Ha ha I know the feeling I’m glad you got it working. Enjoy.
@@MrBeadlock Thank you sir
Do you know how I can use the buttkicker with headset on PS4? Been a nightmare lol
I would check the buttkicker and they should have info for you. I know they will work with the ps4 but I’m not sure how to do it. I hope that helps you. Let me know how you make out. 👍🏻
I have been struggling so bad. I CANNOT figure mine out 😊
Good thing I’m not the only one this shit is fuxking annoying
Do I need the External Sound Card?

@@thesimlounge8285 thanks. That's exactly the one I was looking at.
Enjoy
Was fun while it lasted (just over a year) but it died and only option is to buy another amp! Seriously? just over one year of use and thats it? it's not cheap, so I am extremely disappointed in the product. It was treated very well, set up once and never moved. Reached out to support, turning off and on didnt work and now Im on my own. Unless you are falling backwards into money, don't purchase!
Got told to replace my amp by buttkicker support. Bought one. Still doesnt work. Brilliant waste of money!!!!
