This is all nice and helpful but I can hear the extra bass thru the headphone> very annoying. How do I stop this???
Hi it's me again- Since speaking to Guitammer they're sending me replacement cables (due to losing volume in teh cenetr speaker when plugged into the orange socket- esepcially the 3.5mm Y splitter cable as they think it might not be good (since my speakers are acting up - even putting into the green (front left/right speakers channel) audio out socket instead of the orange one (center and subwoofer speakers) that helped the volume (both front and left speakers are normal volume and also made the bass shaking much better- the only thing now is the left and right speakers are not separate- anything coming from the left speaker channel comes out of both speakers and anything coming from the right speaker channel comes out of both speakers too- hope the repalcemnet Y splitter cable fixes this when used in either the orange or green socket- but I'm now pretty impressed with the vibrations in the game I tested which is Battlefield 1.. Thanks to this video of yours I also got voicemeter to allow for using my speakers and USB surround audio headset amp (Sennheiser GSX 1000).. the next thing I've got to figure out is how to add my HTC Vive audio source as a third source for seated VR experiences- do you know how to do that since Voicemeter only has up to 2 Hardware outs (A1 and A2)? Is Voicemeter Banana the one to do that (as opposed to the standard Voicemeter program)?
Yes banana will be the one you need. It allows 3 sources as normal verison only allows 2

I since tried to install banana but it kept saying you have a version of voicemeter installed and clicking the remove button and restarting the computer repeatedly left some files of the standard voicemeter still on the computer yet nothing listed in the programs and features to uninstall Windows feature.. Was very difficult to remove (needed to get rid of the standard voicemeter also as the 7.1 surround sound wasn't coming through my headset-only stereo..) finally got rid of the standard voicemeter by deleting/uninstalling the drivers from device manager.. On installing banana I have now managed to get the 7.1 surround sound back on my headset and believe I am able to add my HTC Vive VR headset sound as the 3rd option ..
Hi guys. Here's my situation. I'm using Buttkicker 2 with My mobo sound card and a Valve index. I cannot for the life of me separate the sound output of the Buttkicker low end with My vr headset. I'm using VoiceMeeter banana and I setup VMB as my output while using the index as my input for sound settings. What happens is while testing output using Simhub, I get the Buttkicker low-end working fine to my chair with VoiceMeeter as the output. When I assign My sound car as A1 and my Index as A2, I get both low-end through headphones plus chair. Any way to separate these without an extra soundcard?

Great video and thanks for sharing. I’ve ordered my ButtKicker to go with my flight sim rig. I’ve got optical out for my 5:1 speaker system and I also use a VR Headset. Will I have any real problems that you can think of getting ButtKicker to work?
This is a great video! I have a doubt. When I use my bass shakers there is full sound coming out of them. Is it possible to configure them so only the low bass sounds come out of it?

My issue is that if I select the headset, and then go into game for instant American Truck Simulator with the Simvibe software, the audio from the truck is messing with the transducer.
Thank you for the video great explanation I have another issue I'm using a transducer instead of a butt kicker that works perfectly but I'm also using two audio Puck bass shakers on the back of my chair whenever I watch videos of how to set these up they vibrate just like my transducer does but when I have them set up they are also letting out audio just like a regular speaker I'm having trouble figuring out how to set them for just vibration like my transducer without the audio hopefully somebody on here can help me out?

what if its not a usb head set and just normal apple headphones
If it is bluetooth then you can allow the same process. If they are 3.5mm jack then you would have to use a physical splitter.

But why is everyone happy with headphones AND speakers cranking out at the same time? I dont understand why this is so hard to figure out and that no one else wants this.
Does this apply to the VR headsets that have built in headphones too? I have the HP Reverb G2.
I've now realized using voicemeter and my USB Sennheiser gsx1000 7.1 surround amp to go with my headset I've lost the surround sound and is only playing in stereo.. Any ideas how to fix this as Guitammer said I wouldn't lose the surround sound using this and voicemeter- besides the issue with the front left and right speakers playing simultaneously my 5.1 speakers are working in surround..? Thank you
Hmm I'm not sure on that. As you should still have surround with the setup (or at least I still do, it maybe a setting in voicemeeter causing the issue. I'll tinker around with it and see if I can find out.
NerdWork Network as per my other reply above after going through a lot of trouble trying to uninstall the standard voicemeter start eventually doing so by uninstalling/deleting the drivers in device manager voicemeter banana does play back the audio in 7.1 surround now on my headset.. No idea what the difference was.
Good to hear got it working. Possibly was limiting the play back with standard. You should also be able to add your VR headset no problem as a third source
I've been using Voice Meter and Buttkicker 2 over the past year. I just started using a new headset, and now I can't get my buttkicker 2 to work at all. I tried resetting the settings (Re-Initialization), and selected all the available options under A1 and A2, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Never mind, I got it figured out. It was the fact that in my windows audio settings, I had the headset or monitor speakers selected instead of VoiceMeter.
I've had that happen a few times myself. Windows 10 likes to change things around at times

Should be able to under your sound settings.
@@NerdW0rk I figured it out. I just used the monitor's menu to mute the monitor. I'm running triple screen, so it muted all of them. If I want to sound to come through the monitors, I just need to unmute the main one. Thanks for the video btw.

Voicemeteer played havoc with my game, iRacing. It wouldn't load. So I shut it off, loaded iRacing and then ran VM. At this point point, my steering wheel went absolutely crazy! I need another solution :(
Sorry to hear that man. First time I've heard of Voicemeteer causing issues like this. AudioBus is another software similar to it however I've personally never used it.

I bought the buttkicker for my flight simulator setup. I have a sorround system which I use for the airplane sounds (engines,announcements,etc). I also have a headset which I use for listening to the control tower only. Will I be able to keep the same settings with this program, or will all the sound go thru the headset?
You should be able to get this with Voicemeter Banana, it allows for my then two devices. It also depends on how you have your sounds already processing for the different types of sounds (airplane sounds, control tower)

What if you have chord headset? What do you pick in the meter A2? I got a gift and don't want that going to waste. Thanks again.
Same process just make sure to select the device once it is plugged in. If it is a 3.5mm jack headset then you can always get a splitter and not have to worry about using the software then

@@buikhan so I was using a splitter as well a really nice expensive splitter and one day I noticed major sound degradation...
I had my headset and butt kicker plugged into a splitter that plugged into the gsx1000 amp.
And there was a major difference when I plugged the butt kicker in to the splitter compared to not playing any sort of music games etc...
So this is why I'm on this video for The voice meter so I'm not having to compromise my sound with a splitter

Hi thanks for the video. I got this setup and working however I have one situation that I am not sure if I can resolve or not. I am using the onboard mobo audio ports for this and the orange connection (center/sub) does not work with the buttkicker only the input connection (green) works. Is there any way to get the orange to work instead of the green? I had regular speakers connected to the green that I use during the day to listen to things while I work and then I switch to Oculus VR Audio to race later in the day. Using the green requires me to unplug the buttkicker any time I want to use my other speakers. Maybe I should look into a sound card....
Unfortunately you pretty much have to use the green port however your Buttkicker should have come with a splitter that you can use to split the source. That way can have both and just power down the Buttkicker when not in use.

Does this work with the Xbox series x and headphones? Or do you have to set it up through the software ?
This is software for the PC. However the Buttkicker does work with consoles.
@@NerdW0rk so whatever the butt kicker is set to, that's what console players have to settle for, right? Or does the remote still allow you to adjust the intensity on the consoles?
You can adjust everything with the remote still, the software in this video is a way of setting it up for the PC and technically not even required to use the Buttkicker

Banana is just more of a advantage version of Voicemeter. Are you closing out of voicemeter before using it?
no, i leave the voicemeter up. I have actually been using voicemeeter for about the last year
Great video, but for me when I do a speaker test I get the audio through my headset and feel the buttkicker activate however when using iracing there is nothing coming through the buttkicker. Any help greatly appreciated.

You absolutely NEED simvibe to get the best from your buttkicker in iRacing. If you only use a USB headset for sound in sound settings, set the headset to default sound. The onboard sound green port will run the buttkicker in quadraphonic mode with effects from telemetry and not sound. 100% only way to do it for racing titles
