I like the way she says " the people of Githunguri that I represent", she has understood her job quite well, representing the people of Guthunguri and their wishes.
Massive respect to the people of Githunguri for giving us such a brave strong unfazed MP. She's has more balls than a majority of both government and opposition MPs and definitely understands what representing her people means.
By complaining now, I would suggest that she didn't know what she was selling!

But to see that she's now standing with the people that elected her against the wishes of the powers that are shows she's trustworthy. She truly believed in helping her people and she's acted as such.

The housing project is equivalent to transferring public property to private individuals. What happens is a developer is allocated a public land to develop affordable houses to sell to the public. Ultimately public land has been transferred from public to individuals. So you can see how the public loses land say in Shauri Moyo, Bahati, Jericho etc.Why not develop houses and transfer to Nairobi County government to lease on monthly basis to Kenyan citizens for monthly rent.

I like the idea of renting out. Because some people live in the city, but plan on ultimately relocating back to the village. Generally, people move around. Where they are working today isn't where they'll live permanently. If you get a house wherever you plan on retiring to, you'll still be paying rent where you live until you retire. This thing isn't making sense to me
Government rented houses to some people or employees in early years post independence. Those people never moved out after retirement or death. Rather they handed them over to their family member, rented them out or even sold them out. The government or council continue to receive very little payments compared with the times we are living in. It seems impossible to do things in a reasonable way in Kenya.

The Dollar from Diaspora is also diminising because of the harassment they are facing at the Airports when they visit home. Their personal items including their phones are being confiscated after failing to pay hefty taxes imposed on them. As a Diaspora who visits home every year bringing with me foreign currency and investing back home, I have decided not to travel and remain where I am and discontinue investment plans.

I work for the US government and I refused to pay taxes at that airport. They confiscated my employer-issued laptop. One quick call to a higher-up in the Kenya government from the US Embassy did the trick; you won't believe who personally called me to apologize. I think those KRA morons are willfully stealing from us diasporan people.

I will never understand why an enlightened person such as Gathoni led her supporters to elect WSR as president! In fact it is only fair for her to apologise to her constituents and the larger Kenya community for misleading them. And again, why is she still in UDA? However, with all my misgivings, I now support her current stand and I hope one of these fine days she will ditch UDA forever. On another issue, his EXCELLENCY the president said that the economy has greatly improved under his leadership and that Kenyans are about to enjoy the fruits of his good economic policies. Listening to him ,I wondered whether we have two different countries called Kenya. The economy in the real Kenya is in shambles and a good number of the residents can no longer afford two square meals a day. It appears the president is living in utopia!
