This is why I love OMA so much, Thinking outside the box. No one has something like that. High quality materials, very unique and brave designs and everyone I know, who had a chance to listen to their products, was blown away. If you are into DIY speakers, like I am, you respect their work even more. Hopefully, one day, I am able to get a pair of these museum speakers or two minis. :)
I like how you combine physics, engineering, history, art/sculpture, and chemistry together to make the finest products possible. A great plan that seems to work out very well for you. A audiophile's dream job. Nice.
You know, truly, I mean this from my heart, watching you describe with care and passion how you come about designing and making your audio components makes the world a brighter place for me. I’m so looking forward to the continuation of the story of the power supply then your Ampex inspired table. I wonder, knowing your love of separate power supplies for your amps, would a version of this supply work with your amps? And here is another thought, I know your not keen on digital but I know you have your own design CD player, would this power supply improve a digital source, that would be a fascinating experiment!
I thought i had it all with my Realistic T.T. With the advertised optional quick change styili (s) now this comes along, perhaps when you have it all ``dialed in `` I could have a visit and hear if there`s any difference.
I honestly love these products. I hope to someday be able to get my hands on an imperia system. But as I watch these videos gawking at the aesthetics of everything I get a bit irritated with how there always seems to be an abstract "sound" reason for doing things. If you have a high quality oscilloscope it will be able to show you wayyyy more than you could ever hope to perceive with your ears. This power supply looks amazing, is a brilliant product, would definitely buy it if I had the disposable income, but if it reads as clean on an oscilloscope as a high quality psu then it isn't going to make the turntable sound any different. I think OMAs distinction over other audiophile class gear is their great aesthetic design and form. Sometimes you don't need a functional reason for something. Especially in this luxury product class. It's a statement piece, it looks cool. Works just as well, if not slightly better. Attaching non-groundable claims about increased functionallity seem disingenuous and taint the high quality of your products and impressive designs.
Some switching power supplies are way better like they use in an F22 but that would be 100k power supply and it would cost you 5 million to develop it at an aircraft manufacturer.

Dammit! Even the power supply looks, fantastic! Don't keep me waiting for the rest of it Jonathan! Can you do the arm next please?
You got it! :)
I love vintage.
Stunning ! So unique, it belongs to MOMA !!!
What Bugatti is by the cars,..is OMA by music reproduction,...very cool stuff.

Question as to would you be considering moving to a laser stylus for reading the albums ?
A great series.

Are there real gold inserts in the K3 platter?
👌

One of the two drawbacks of modern life… charging batteries. The other is updating firmware. Fortunately, OMA equipment requires neither.
