The only bad part about rebuilding cars for UA-cam is you can’t have a radio playing in the background. That’s one of the best things about working on a car is putting the music on and just getting lost in the work.

Not always. I talk to my buddies or family who’s helping when I’m doing work. Only if I’m alone so I put on music.
They literally put music over the parts where they are working on the car, there’s nothing stopping them from doing that

Better resale than what though? He’s gone from rebuilding a gt3 rs, to “just” a gt3. It won’t have the resale the rs would have.
Maybe, but resale value overall will be super low considering all of the damage and the shoddy repairs these guys are doing

I’m not going to lie this has to be one of the better rebuilds I’ve seen guys do on UA-cam, the guys are getting shit done, Dillon is funny af and TJ is making sure the big pieces are here. It dosent take weeks and weeks for us to get a decent video about the car. And as much as I like a mansory rolls Royce I think this is the best project on UA-cam right now

This is a hard one for me. I love manuals and automatics both. I love the PDK in Porsche and at a start I was like "hell yeah swap it to pdk!!", but in this case after all the points have been made, as most of the people have said, I would go with the manual route.

They make a special rivet/ spot weld drill bit bro... Just takes off the the top spot weld....leaving the bottom side to weld to. It's much easier to install the new part this way. But regardless it's looking good gentleman!

Manual gearbox for the win honestly
It’s funny you were talking about the front end of this car being held on by rivets and glue, and yet there isn’t a motor up there, when a dodge viper front end is held together with glue, and honestly I don’t think there are any rivets, but it’s held on with really strong glue like you said but it still has to handle that big ole V10 up there. It’s amazing to me what car companies can get away with and that actually works. But I also don’t know if you want to even try and separate the glue without someone that’s done it before.

The easiest way to get spotted out isn’t drilling them. Use a pneumatic hand held belt sander. Or a finger sander, it takes like half in wide sanding belts but they work great at getting out spot welds with minimal collateral damage.

i would like to recommend you running the t51r mod to your r34 gtr and both of the supra's. it will make your cars sound insanely cool as i did it to a few of my cars. i did it to my r34gtt with the rb26 and it makes it really cool

Dustin Williams just put up a video at some Porsche place that restores and builds race cars .they had a rack with transmissions on it. Maybe call Dustin and ask him about it

See Rose Passion. P209932 and P177171 are the front repair rails which slot into the rails (you need to double check part codes but the theory is the same). Rear chassis frame is P209928. The repair rivets are all 6.5mm. There are plenty of Porsche repair manuals lurking out there

The rivets are self piercing also you can use a heat gun to soften the seam sealer
Coolest shit ever would be to keep the gt3 body, add the touring decklid, gt3 rs motor and keep the manual! Then you would have your own version of a 991.2 911 R🤩🥰 or add a couple RS-touches such as rs fenders but keep it non-winged like a touring, paint it a heritage colourscheme, and you’ll have a 911.2 ”ST” - dream car right there!👏
