    Hello Anurag
    Thank you very much for this video. can i ask what is the best way to create a 5cm * 5cm double-sided spiral coil in ADS LAYOUT? Thank you!

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  3 роки тому +1

      I would imagine, simply using the standard coil from TLines-Microstrip library, flattening it and then copy the coil on 2nd layer would be the easiest to do.

    Hi Anurag, one question about the brd file imported into ADS layout, are the components definition such as R, L, C enabled in the imported ADS layout after I imported one brd file?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  3 роки тому

      Hi Baijing,
      Allegro has no electrical circuit model so important brd file in ADS will have layout footprint & connection hierarchy but no circuit equivalent model but you can easily perform EM/Circuit cosimulation and attach electircal model of RLCs as needed in ADS directly either as ideal RLC models or Vendor component models.

      @@BhargavaAnurag Hi Anurag, Thanks a lot for your reply, do you have any lessons related to my question to be referred to?

      I have few videos on SIPro that might be of your help but performing regular EM-Circuit cosimulation should serve your purpose and that will be my next video to be posted next week.

    Hi Anurag, Great presentations! I have a question for you. When you create a layout that contains R's and C's do you need to insert pins in to your schematic to match the pins that you insert in to the layout? I have gone through this process before, but I don't remember having to do this. Once I created the layout and inserted pins where I wanted to connect parts this was sufficient to build a simulation with a look-alike symbol. However, in my recent endeavors, I have had to not only add pins in the layout, but actually add matching pins in the schematic that I generated the layout from. My co-simulation would not work until I did this. Any advice that you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      @BhargavaAnurag  3 роки тому

      Hi Abraham,
      Nothing has changed in em cosim process or requirements. You don't need to have same pins in schematic except for the situation when you want to use the same top model look alike symbol for both schematic view and layout/emmodel view. As long as you have selected emmodel from Choose View for Simulation, it has nothing to do with your underlying schematic as it is simply reading the em simulation model/results for integration with rest of the schematic components you have connected to the look alike symbol.
      Hope this helps.

    Hello Anurag, which software do you use for recording your videos ?

      Hi Rajat,
      I use Camtasia from TechSmith.com but there are many free screen recording and editing tools that you can use.

    Sir! please make a full explanation video tutorial for implement a broadband RF power amplifier for wireless communication, including load/source-pull method to obtain optimum source & load impedance. If you do it within a few days it'll be much helpful. Because we are really in the need of this concept for our project work this month.

    I don't see the net based "connectivity" in my trial version of ADS 2024

      Hi,
      Net based connectivity is the default mode starting from 2024 version now hence you don’t see that as an option now.

    Hi, I've a query related to the importing of brd file in ADS and then swapping the layers.
    I have a multilayer board in which accidentally I've misplaced two layers. Now I've to swap signal layer with the ground layer. Is it possible in ADS layout or not?
    Thanks in advance.

      Hi Hamza,
      It's not clear what you mean by misplaced 2 layers? Also I am not sure what you mean by swap signal layer with ground layer

    Hi Anurag, I am a student and want to import a sample open-source RFIC/MMIC PDK to design an LNA/PA. Can I get any such free PDK online?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Goutham,
      I am not aware of any open source PDK but there is MMIC Demo Kit that ships with ADS and can be used for MMIC designs till 18GHz and Keysight will ship a new mmW MMIC PDK with ADS 2022 release in July this year.
