@Censorship Sucks he said "Sue me for what?" If you wrote the whole line out, I would have gotten it. Instead, I thought you were questioning why I would expect him to say that
I'm a native New Yorker myslef and I once passed a pan handler on the street who was a young black man and as people passed he would extend his tin can and jokingly say, "Please give to the United Negro Pastrami Fund". It was funny as hell and I noticed a lot of people laughing AND giving him money.
I grew up in Chicago during the 1960's and 1970's. "United Negro Pizza Fund" is hilarious and in your story you have to love a handler with a sense of humor.
Sgt. Dornan, ( portrayed by Richard Gant, ) showed Andy how a forgotten remark he had made came back to bite him on the behind. One of many incidents that provoked Andy to examine his own prejudices and helped his character to evolve. His racism, homophobia and other detrimental traits were softened over time. I personally admired the relationship he forged with ' gay ' John over time. He came to respect John as a brave and caring man.
Great credit to the actor and the writers. You can see it on Andy’s face, every time. He tries to do well, do good, stay clean and sober and do right. But you can see the emotions on his face whenever those bits about his past comes up.
The 'we're both on the same job' was perfect also. Because that's the real damage that racism does. Creates enemies out of would-be allies. Everybody needs allies.
I started rewatching(for the 2nd or 3rd time lol) and while I knew that he was recast, like Connie and Fraker, but I also caught others that were recast (that I missed with previous viewings).
I was waiting for him to say "Touch me, and I'll sue"
Many will miss this, but great one
@Censorship Sucks I guess you didn't see Rocky 5
@Censorship Sucks It’s all about the Rocky V.

@Censorship Sucks I'm from Philadelphia. We count every Rocky movie
"In light of these new reservations". Andy, master of the best malapropisms.
The Dornan & Sipowicz interaction should’ve gotten more time, it was so intense I always wanted more.

It's way funnier from a beggar, than a guy with a gun and badge....
One of best shows EVER
The actor who played Dornan was also on Deadwood with the guy who played Mike Roberts. Also a David Milch show. Great actors, those guys.
Richard Gant was best known as the Don King knock-off George Washington Duke in Rocky 5.

I heard that homeless guy didn't even like pizza
Your rectitude is so awesome ...
That Richard Gant being doing characters like this for a long time to be honest. Very calmed cool collected character actor.
That's great writing.
Hey that officer works at the 27. Same Precinct as Briscoe, Logan, Curtis, etc.
These are 2 strong willed personalities. Chips on both their shoulders.
Clarification: One had his Chip placed there, by the other one.
Love NYPD Blue.
Sgt Dornan should have said as he was leaving "we must do lunch sometime"
should have said "we must do pizza sometime. There's a bit of money left in the fund"
@@Cohen.the.Worrier bruh🤣
Sipowicz: Thanks! Here is a deuce, why don’t you go buy yourself a slice.
If I were Dornan, I would have answered the same way.
And THAT is exactly why almost everyone today still hates each other. Congrats.

The Pizza Shop, while we don’t remember the name of it, at the dock at the South Sea Port has some of the best pizza in the City!
I just watched this one on Hulu.
This ain't no park bench, boy...
Maybe Mrs. Balboa should fight Union Kane.
Its hard to do but you have to be careful of what you say. Once trust is lost it can be lost forever.
Oh and you forgot to take your hat with you!
Great scene
Great actors!
I've donated to that fund before. Guess I was duped
I like pizza
I don't think they should have their own fund
It's special pizza.
I only donate to the Irish Fishermen’s Association of Nevada
Whole different department from the past .
Some people have a chip that can't be knocked off.
someone put it there.
Or because if you touch them, they''ll sue...
Sorry, but I had to.
Andys patience

He got demoted to bus driver.
No, he got promoted to Sargeant.
No dislikes. Perfect
Nothing lasts forever.

Boring show
I think they stole that pizza fund line from Garrison Keillor, or vice versa.
I don't recall any type of pizza fund
Tuneup....lol
This show would give the woke millenials fatal heart attacks
I neva got any pizza
Poor Andy confronted by his own racism
realism. do you think some panhandler is going to use the money to better themselves or will they use it to get drugs to get high?
Sipowicz should have been thrown off the force.
