- Welcome to Nong Khiaw, Laos. The most northern part of Laos that I explored. But it's worth saying, it does not get explored by many people! This is a true hidden gem and undiscovered part of southeast Asia.
Unfortunately, Nong Khiaw is not covered by the Laos-China railway and so I made my own way there from Luang Prabang by motorcycle.
The journey took me 4 hours there and 3 hours on the way back.
I stayed in a river house but the stay was not as relaxing as I had anticipated!
Overall, I had very mixed feelings about this rural town. But watch the video and make up your own mind to decide whether to include this in your Laos itinerary or not. Or if you are not coming to Laos, then enjoy my drama!

travel to rural laos and complain it's too rural? complain about bugs in the jungle. i cannot believe you didn't continue to one of the best viewpoints in asia.

I recommend Chennai Restaurant they have Vegetarian Friendly cuisine 🔥 🌺 South and North Indian cuisine 🥕🌾🍆🥒🌰🥥🌶️ with some Laotian, Thai, Malaysian dishes ♨️ also Tofu 🌿 🌺 🍊 🍜

Laos Political poor if you don't mind but laotion people are very friendly and peaceful low crime compare to Thailand
