When I and my family went to Airlie Beach over 35 years ago there was not much there except a fish and chip shop and a couple of snorkel rental shops. Back then the nearest town of consequence was Proserpine, which still had an Aussie pub with real bat-wing doors to the front bar. These are the memories I treasure.
I am glad you loved the Whitsundays . You videos are well presented . You are such an excellent narrator . Your videos of Queensland are wild , interesting , beautiful and are in reality . You can easily do travel documentaries professionally. Best of luck with your travels!
@@PrinzameerTravels Yes twice and the second time it was more enjoyable because I didn’t get sea sick lol These days , I visit a lot of national parks where the real Aussie beauty is and sometimes we go off the beaten track . Next time I am in Far North Queensland , I would like to stay in Cooktown and experience Cape York Peninsula which is wild and so beautiful . It is the very best that that the east coast of Queensland has to offer but you are best to drive a 4WD car . During the monsoon period , the road is often washed away . The dry season is the better time to visit .
Hi Ameer, not sure whether you know this but the yacht you were on is quite famous. Siska won the Sydney to Hobart yacht race twice, finished second in the Fastnet race, won the Parmelia race, from England to Perth, sailed round f the world twice, King Charles crewed on Siska when she beat Kioloa the then world champion in record time.,was first in Cowes in the Queen Victoria Cup against 329 entries., and has travelled 140,000 nautical miles.
Thank you Ameer for another great video. Love your channel. You are tempting me too much to go back to Queensland... again. Thanks for keeping my spirit alive. ❤️💕😘
@@PrinzameerTravels you can swim fine. It's southern Australia 👍 We only rarely get blue bottles in the South of Australia, which aren't deadly like box jellyfish and irukandji. No Crocs either! lol
@@PrinzameerTravelsYou can swim in the water but the waters aren’t as warm as the Whitsundays . The beaches in WA are super blue with sand super white .
@jfffff14 definitely yes I know Perth is quite small. As a city person I don't know if I could live somewhere small hahah but maybe the beaches will convince me
there are dangers aplenty here ,if you dont take local advice you are a fool. if you are stung by any jelly fish there it means a helicopter evacuation asap. thats the end of the trip for your fellow tourists. its the same as ignoring warnings and swimming in a river in darwin. its a country with many local hazards . dont ignore well meaning advice. when you grow up here there are many things you do not do. swimming in upper qld in stinger season without a wet suit is one of them. dont be a goose. .
Hahah no goose here 🫡 although interestingly. When I was there on Whitehaven beach a little girl did get stung by a jellyfish but our tour guide didn't really seem to be worried at all
You should wear suits because not stingrays it's the jellyfish that are not visible and can kill you!! They are the size of your thumbnail and can stop your heart and breathing...essential to wear suits.
Wow!!!

stinger suits are for jelly fish mate.
