John William is so much more. Of course Schindlers List, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter are not included (because they’re from other studios). Also Jaws of course
Don't forget he also scored TWO greatest disaster films 'The Poseidon Adventure' and 'The Towering Inferno' they were both made by 20th century Fox and now they are Disney.
he's only becoming a LEGEND NOW!!!!!! - he should have received this honor decades ago guessing they could not show all the other movies since Disney does not own Superman, Jaws, ET, and even the Olympic games theme
@@NerdReactor What Disney movies did he do music for? Of course he did music for the stuff that Disney bought, like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. But what else?
John Williams is by far my favorite musician and he deserves every bit of status he gets but, that said, I do find it funny that the movies he's being honored for here were, until 10 years ago, Fox and Paramount movies. Of the 14 films that comprise the Skywalker Saga and Indiana Jones only 4 of the movies were actually Disney lol.
To be fair, this is a Disney Expo so anything shown would be things that have direct ties to Disney (and the rest of what you mentioned don't belong to them so they wouldn't have been allowed to show that)
This was a Disney expo. The other two being to Universal and Warner Bros. And those two studios are Disney competitors, that’s why they couldn’t showcase his music from those movies.

Wait a minute - you are telling me all this time John Williams was NOT already a Disney Legend? How is that even possible? Who is picking these things?
What percentage of his work was done for Disney? 10% Its as though Disney is trying to take credit for all these individuals work that happened before they were involved
Darn Disney capitalizing the legend John Williams IS since the last 60 years. It has NOTHING to do with you, Disney. You gave the maestro the worst material he's ever worked with and even with that he managed to do a great job.
Disney now owns Star Wars and Indiana Jones, we want it or not. Besides, even if it's true that Giacchino has worked much more for Disney than Williams, he's not even close to him.
The most important composer in the history of film. An absolute legend in every sense of the word!
Agreed, second most important in my opinion is Hans Zimmer
Ennio Morricone
Zimmer fans cannot just say yes, they have to say "yes, but Zimmer...."
I'm not crying, you're crying. An American treasure and still somehow underappreciated. We can not give him enough praise.
What a legend. He should be in history books
The music of John Williams is the sountrack of my childhood. ❤
he ABSOLUTELY deserves to be a disney legend.
John Williams one of the greatest composers And Conductors. London Symphony orchestra
Williams is by far the greatest film composer ever. From Jaws to Star Wars, he’s a legend
1 of my favorite composers ever did music for every single 1 of my favorite movies there will never ever be another like John Williams
The music of John Williams is the soundtrack to my childhood. ❤
One of the greatest composers of our time. 🎶🎵
NO ONE DESERVES IT MORE! John Williams is the greatest music composer who has ever lived-- and that includes the Old Masters.
I love John Williams!! I need to meet him!!!
If you have the stones, play some of his tunes outside his home. If he is able, he will wave from his window 😊
@@jphanks Got his address? 😊
This was amazing in person! I was on the other side in 207.
I love that he's appreciated in his lifetime ❤
John Williams is an absolute legend from Superman to Indiana Jones. This man knows how to write incredible scores.
John William is so much more. Of course Schindlers List, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter are not included (because they’re from other studios). Also Jaws of course
Don’t forget about E.T.
They could've at least included Home Alone since that's technically Disney as well.
Don't forget he also scored TWO greatest disaster films 'The Poseidon Adventure' and 'The Towering Inferno' they were both made by 20th century Fox and now they are Disney.
This was great!
But, he did a lottt more than just star wars and Indiana Jones.
His music was also iconic for Superman and jaws and especially E.T.
A True ICON/Legend/Treasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the Olympics ending, it would have been nice to have a tidbit of Bugler’s Dream/Olympic Fanfare/Summon the Heroes… IMO his most underrated songs.
I adore that music and agree it should have been in there.
Greatest film composers of all time. John Williams, Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer. And in that order.
Totally well-deserved.
My hero! I have the music for the Star Wars Theme tattooed on my arm.
he's only becoming a LEGEND NOW!!!!!! - he should have received this honor decades ago
guessing they could not show all the other movies since Disney does not own Superman, Jaws, ET, and even the Olympic games theme
Very true. Should have been honored as a Disney Legend a long time ago.
@@NerdReactor What Disney movies did he do music for? Of course he did music for the stuff that Disney bought, like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. But what else?
@@mstrainjr BFG 😂
@@NerdReactor woah, don’t diss BFG now. That’s one of his best modern scores by far!

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
John Williams was a legend well before Disney purchased Star Wars Duhhhhhh
❤❤❤❤
I’m surprised his Superman theme wasn’t in here. Or Jaws for that matter.
Such a great legend. Only complaint is they showed stuff from The Disney Trilogy. Superman. Jurrasic Park. Jaws. To name some. TY.
To be fair, this is a Disney Expo so anything shown would be things that have direct ties to Disney (and the rest of what you mentioned don't belong to them so they wouldn't have been allowed to show that)
I’ll never watch the sequels again but I do listen to the soundtracks. If only the films were as good as “Rey’s Theme!”
The Star Wars music is great, but what about Harry Potter? His music really made those movies come alive!
Disney isn't going to play Harry Potter music at a Disney event
@@NerdReactor Yeah, I was just remarking that those movies also had some of his best music in them.
@@Hp-Fan2010 of yeah so many awesome themes including Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Superman, etc
@@NerdReactor Yeah! 🙂
Wait he made Harry Potter too? Bro he’s cooler than I thought
You forgot about Jurassic park and Harry Potter you know
This was a Disney expo. The other two being to Universal and Warner Bros. And those two studios are Disney competitors, that’s why they couldn’t showcase his music from those movies.
Notice they only used the Disney properties?
Superman is by far his best score.

Where was this on?
Wait a minute - you are telling me all this time John Williams was NOT already a Disney Legend? How is that even possible? Who is picking these things?
looking back, the sequel saga wasnt bad, it just wasn't the story I wanted
They weren't terrible but they had a lot of issues. A lot. But they were fine.
ET the Extraterrestrial is missing
What percentage of his work was done for Disney? 10% Its as though Disney is trying to take credit for all these individuals work that happened before they were involved
Not much, yeah.
Has he ever worked on an actual Disney movie? Seems like the only properties Disney cares about now are those they’ve acquired and strip-mined.
If distribution counts then War Horse. I really can’t think of anything else
Darn Disney capitalizing the legend John Williams IS since the last 60 years. It has NOTHING to do with you, Disney. You gave the maestro the worst material he's ever worked with and even with that he managed to do a great job.
You guys deliberately neglected to play superman theme?????? How dare you. 😡
Michael Giacchino deserves it more. He did more work for Disney than Williams did.
Disney now owns Star Wars and Indiana Jones, we want it or not.
Besides, even if it's true that Giacchino has worked much more for Disney than Williams, he's not even close to him.
The Pink Floyd laser lights were a superb addition to the setup. 🤌 *Chefskiss*
