Great video. I spoke to you briefly in Chamonix last summer and mentioned how much I enjoy your vlogs. They keep getting better and better. Very high quality. All the best, Richard
@@HarryRunsUK I'm going to Chamonix on Thursday for a short hiking / camping trip.... Chamonix to Courmayeur on the UTMB route (and some variants depending on weather). Can't wait. Best of luck for UTMB this year. I look forward to following your progress and watching your videos!
Great video Harry, finally someone explaining the whole process of training, mixing bike rides and explaining coorectly how you feel slowing down after too many uphill sessions, makes total sense. Thank you so much! :))
Great video. As someone that’s thinking about running an ultra this vlog provided a valuable insight into the work involved. It’s great to see you do it all with a smile on your face. Inspiring.
@@HarryRunsUK I ran Ultra-Dolomites and was in the top 200 and first GBR runner back! I've got Lakes in a Day during October so trying to get some nice recovery in 🙌🏼
as an older (mid 50's) mut runner i deal with a lot of issues and making my harder efforts on the bike has helped. thanks always enjoy your videos and perspective!
I’ve just done a couple of races recently - a 25k trail race & a road half marathon (both went fairly well). Taking a bit of recovery time now before training for a trail marathon in the Brecon Beacons in November. Look forward to seeing the Lavaredo video.
Awesome video Harry, a shame I never got to share some trails with you in Cortina at Laverado. Hope the body has recovered well and new training block is going well. :)
Heh Harry, you are so living my dream, really fun and informative film! I go semi retired next year at the age of 55 and hope to spend loads of time in the mountains. Recovering from Achilles injury so your film of the bike and strength routines very timely. A gravel bike is probably on the way for me. Might be interested in some coaching for a few months to get me back on track if you have space? Will be in Cham for UTMB so maybe see you there! Cheers. John
Time in the mountains is the best goal. Hope the Achilles is healing up well, be sure to get a physio if you can or haven’t already. Always good to get specific hands on help to speed along recovery and prevent further issues. Drop me an email with regards to coaching and we can chat there. Be sure to say hi if you spot me in Chamonix.
Hi Harry, I remember watching one of your videos where you mentioned that you had made some modifications to you VaporKrar 12L vest to more easily place your poles. I would appreciate it if you could explain this in more detail. Thank you. jae
Great video on your training, Harry! Do you miss Thailand at all? I'm here for the summer and will be heading up to Chiang Mai soon to get in some training! Good luck on your upcoming races!
A bit of both Mark. I’ve found that planning routes on Strava Route planner works well and easy to use and sync the GPX. But once I know an area better I’ll just explore and have certain peaks in mind.
@@HarryRunsUK Ahhh I see. Great stuff! I should get into planning with Strava because for example Komoot always sends me into the big nothing.... Harry, thanks for getting back to me! You ze man! Keep firing dude!
Hi Harry, great video and beautifil scenery. What other training are you doing/do you do at the moment? Any strength stuff/uppoer body/yoga? Thanks, Andy

Great question. I like to do some complimentary body weight strength work straight after longer runs or hard sessions. The body is already fatigued and it’s a good way to build on some strength both physically and mentally. If I’m lifting some weight I like to go into it after an easier run or cardio warm up to make sure I’m fully activated whilst able to maintain good form , balance and results within the session. Mix things up!
@@HarryRunsUK Totally agree with you, people dont combine muscle training with running that much, this is actually a nice way to do it, in hard days there would be strength training, follow by a easy day tomorrow, not only recovering from the running but also letting the muscles repair itself.
Saw you at the store in Cortina, along with Hoka team mates, Tim and Magda, where you had an Q&A session - but i guess I'm too shy to came along and say hi, lol

Hey Richard. Thanks for the kind words. Any mountain adventures planned for this summer? Happy running.

All the best Harry. And thanks for the strength training and doing strides tips.
Great, hope you can implement some ideas into your training.
Another incredibly detailed, informative and enjoyable video Harry! Cant wait to see how your training progresses now through to UTMB!
Cheers man. Yeah very excited to get working hard for UTMB. Let’s go!

Great purchase, I love my Trekz Air and naked running waist band....make s all the difference 👍🏽👣👣👣👣🏔
Great to hear you enjoy running with them, two of my favourite products.
Great video. Curious as to what you are using to secure your poles to your waist.
Harry, I really like your videos! Amazing performance here also in CSP. How do you manage your nutrition during the race?
What kind of socks were you running in at the beginning of the video on the snow mountain run?
great video thanks man!

Hey Harry! Do you plan your big mountain runs with gps beforehand? Or do you just pick a peak and go for it? Thanks a bunch man!

Thanks Tom!
Is that the Vertix? If so, liking it so far?
Yeah really pleased with the VERTIX. Battery is insane, tracking spot on and so light for its capabilities.
Harry Runs Excellent! Thanks!
harry i got a question, just curious, but would u do strength, weight training in a hard session day, or in easy days?
