Yes, would like to see you making your papaya salad Tim!
Yes! Papaya salad video!!
I love your videos ! And yes to papaya salad !
Cecilie :-D
Thanks Cecile. Coming up!
Brilliant video - brings back so many great memories - papaya salad ‘cook night’ vid sounds a must!!!
Thanks Fran. I shall don my apron!
I'm late to the party... still catching up. Thank you for this wonderful video. We don't often know the ripples we create. You are doing such positive things for many people. Let that light shine.
Thanks very much. So glad you are enjoying.
Hi Tim, I'd love to see a Papaya night video.
That’s 2 votes!
I enjoy all your videos but this video with the both of you, in a very relaxed way, having a conversation about your surroundings was a little different and so enjoyable. My husband and have visited St. Paul de Vence and watched a game of pétanque while we ate at the cafe, and I agree, a great way to relax after looking at all the “stuff” in the shops.
Thanks Mary. We’re hoping to do more videos together in the Autumn when Mr Boo is more available!
Wow Tim! We love your video! Really nice to see your sunny soundings. We have been to st Paul, but you gave us some nice tips to go again next time.
And yes, we would enjoy a video of you making the 🥗 salad.
Greets,
Alex and Nathalie (from the Netherlands)
Thanks Nathalie. I shall don my apron (I get a few more votes for it;) PS I may even do it on UA-cam LIVE!
Enjoyed spending time with the two of you in this beautiful location.
Thanks Bev.
Great Tim! One of my fav villages. My favorite perfume shop Godet. Stunning inside. What a great day
Thanks Janell. It is lovely.
You are bloody hysterical!!! My sister from another mister wanted to go to St. Paul de Vence, so I found your video!! Merci beau coup!
Thanks Jimmy. There’s quite a few more
Really enjoyed the trip with you, Been a few times but have learned lots from you, thank you and I would love to see a papaya salad please
Thanks Michelle. Papaya planning under way!
Tres bon👍
Merci!
Thanks for the visit to Saint Paul De Vence. Brings back wonderful memories. I figure I’ll be in Cannes mid to end of Sept. can’t wait to be home again. Cheers
Fantastic. For how long?
At least until June 2022, I recently retired June 2021, sold my house in Toronto, moved to my cottage property in Northern Ontario and bought a place in Cannes. I plan on wintering in sunny riviera and visiting my cottage during the summer and fall.
That sounds like a lovely plan!
It was a lot busier than that when we visited but I agree that it is still charming (and romantic). We got there by bus which was super-easy albeit at times hair-raising...especially on the way back down. The Maeght Foundation is a must-see. And if I ever win the lottery I wanna sit by the pool at the famous hotel La Colombe d'Or and watch the Alexander Calder sculpture gently waft in the breeze 🙏
I want to go too. I think we save up and do lunch!
@@MeandMonAmi I cannot work out how to actually get a table. I think you have to pretend to be a famous french celebrity😉😜
Being born in St Paul, the best time to visit it in the Winter during the week. Cheers.
It really is! Glorious out of season..
Thanks for the video. Would have liked to see the house/villa where author James Baldwin lived while staying in St. Paul de Vence.
Yes we must go there one day
Thanks Tim, great video!!! I really want to go there now!
Thanks Maureen. It’s lovely if you can go when it’s not too busy!
I just loved this guys, look forward to watching more. I so miss St Paul De vence.
Thanks Maurice!
Hi Tim, thanks for taking us with you on another great outing! I love a papaya salad and it would be great to see you making it!
Jessica
Thanks Jessica. I’m squeezing the limes…
PS have you been back to U.K. since our airport encounter?
@@MeandMonAmi I have been at home in the UK since we met at Nice airport. I was really inspired by your way of life in France and had been thinking about buying a small apartment in the South of France. I made 3 trips in the last 6 weeks for viewings between Cannes and Villefranche and found a little flat in Cannes Montfleury. I am waiting to sign the compromis and will be back for completion some time at the end of September. Cant wait! Hope your visit went well! I bet you were glad to leave the rain behind when you went home!
@@jessicaruge3493 How lovely! Hope to see you again!
Great day out Tim, Thanks David (UK)
Thanks David.
Absolutely wonderful blog. Brought back memories of sept 2019 when we were last there. Great recommendations and liking the Thai restaurant, we loved seeing the journey too, the roads looked very familiar, The Polygon Center, Cagnes sur mer, and the posh hotel in Nice for 75€ lol. Sad were not coming this year but Skeggy will do. Keep up the blogs and Vence is worth a visit too that's where we stay. Yes do a papaya salad video.
Thanks Tony. Yes I really like Vence too. Must go back!
Really enjoyed this virtual trip along the coast and up to St Paul de Vence. Have been a couple of times and still find it very beautiful. Polygone shopping centre is great with it's own tête carrée. Thank you for sharing your visit. Hoping to be in Nice sometime in October and will buy you both un café 😎👍
Thanks Vanessa. Look forward to seeing you!
Love ❤️ follow your trips around south of France ❤️
Thanks Mette! More to come this autumn!
Thanks Tim; great video. We usually go to St Paul in the winter. On a sunny day in early December almost everything is still open but the crowds are gone. Vence itself is well worth a visit too! We arrive Saturday for the first time in two years!!!!! Will look out for you and offer a drink in person. Paul and Ali
Thanks Paul! Yes I really like Vence too but I’ve only been once quite briefly after a very long cycle. Return trip due!
Fab video Tim! Very happy to have found you. We arrive in Nice next week and you’ve inspired me to vlog our road trip all the way from NE England! Would be lovely to buy you a beer while I’m in Villfranche visiting my dad!
I look forward to seeing it and hopefully you in VF!
Going to visit Nice and Saint Paul in two weeks, very glad I found your channel! I too want to eat «traditional» thai food in France😅 This was such a lovely vlog to watch, love the vibe! You definitely got a new subscriber. Lots of love from Norway🤗
Thanks. Enjoy Saint Paul. Go early in the day if you can to avoid crowds.
Hello Tim, another great vlog as always. It was lovely seeing St Paul de Vence & we definitely be visiting. We arrive in Nice on the 14th of September & we’re staying in Vence which is another great place to do a vlog from. The cathedral in Vence is the smallest in France & it has an original Chagall mosaic in it.
Thanks Hilary. Yes I loved Vence on my one and only visit and intend to go back on another outing. Any tips where to visit there?
Hi Tim, there are a few things to see Vence you have the Medieval old walled town with it’s five gates it’s lovely to wander through the charming old streets. Inside the old town is where you find the 4th century Cathedral of Our Lady of the Nativity this has the Chagall mosaic in it. You also have the fabulous view from what we call the promontory & from here you can see with its white walls & blue roof The Rosary Chapel ( the Matisse Chapel ) You can walk to the chapel from Vence it takes about 20 minutes. Also near the promontory is a very old Ash tree called La Frene I can’t remember how old it is exactly but I think it’s well over 400 years.Vence is also famous for its spring water & there are lots of fountains around the town where you can fill your water bottle. Vence has also been associated with quite a few famous people over time D. H. Lawrence ( who I think died in Vence in 1930) Marc Chagall. Henri Matisse & many more. I hope this has been of some help to you.
@@gallarytours4108 Thanks Hilary! I feel a trip coming on. The last and only time I was there the Matisse was closed so definitely need a return visit.
Nice one Tim
Really liked this one along with snaps of history.
Think Isadora was off for a night with a racing driver called Falchetto
And left her pals with the words I go to glory !
What a fascinating area.
Give us more of the same Tim .Along with the Papaya of course.
Regards Brian
Thanks. Indeed, Falchetto! I’d only ever read a report of her death in a NY Times archive piece and I’m fairly sure they omitted his name. Now I want to know more!
The guy in the pink shirt and sunglasses 13:36 is watching your every bite with the papaya salad. Did you take his table. ha ha. 😁
Maybe!
Yes! I would love cooking lesson 🙂
I shall arrange it!
Links klicked. Did not buy anyting though..
Thinking of revisiting Saint Paul de Vence again this summer.
Thank you for the nice video.
Thanks Nina
Thank you. Brings back memories of my visit on an Atlantis gay cruise excursion almost exactly three years ago.
Was that the one that docked in Villefranche?
Beautiful video, beautiful camera work, where can I buy that frenchy hat?
Thanks Ritchie! It’s a Bordeaux company I think. I got mine in the sale at Galeries Lafayette

Love st paul de vince. Wàs there in 2017
Sorry spelt it incorrectly should be st paul de vence
It is magical Catherine.
We love the idea of St Paul de Vince!
Thought I’d check out one of your older vlogs - no Elton back then but ‘an oldie but a goodie’ I think they say. Shame most of the art shops are filled with shite though…😉
I’m saying nowt!
@@MeandMonAmi 🤣
That plane is going to New York
Have gou made a vlog of Biot if so can you send me the link. Plz guys.
Not yet Maurice but we will be heading that side of Nice very soon!
@@MeandMonAmi, thank you guys so much. My family usually stay at camp Eden just outside antibes but with covid we havent been able so hopefully getting back in September.
Not yet..
Regarding Chagall, his second wife Vava was apparently a closet Christian (converted from Judaism), which might explain his burial place. All the stones and pebbles on the grave are, however, in keeping with the Jewish tradition. And I agree with what you said of the fondation maeght. This was one of my highlights of my trip, and I consider myself no culture-vulture. Its setting high in the pine trees, the sense of light, air, space, solitude (we were lucky:-)) was in itself magnificent, even before taking in the art and sculptures. Even better value and a longer-lasting memory, perhaps, than even the best Thai meal (& I do consider myself a food-vulture)! Where were Richard and Judy? I had visions of them treating you at the Colombe d'Or...We got chucked out of there, semi-politely and very formally, when we snuck in over breakfast, but it too remains an amazing memory of a stunning place. Thanks for bringing back beautiful memories and i agree with the comments - was sweet seeing the two of you together and yes please to the papaya salad recipe, or you can invite us over next week:-)
Interesting I know nothing of Chagall and to my shame I have never been to the Chagall museum here! Maeght is fabulous!
@@MeandMonAmi I've given up on shame - life's too short! Still time to rectify your chagall virginity...
Oh dear, you should always remove your hat when entering a church. Even my French friend who is not religious removes his...
I shall remember for next time but I did remember to wear my mask which is currently probably more important;
Yes, would like to see you making your papaya salad Tim!
