Love the stone alleys. You got a lot of exercise filming this one. Fortified areas are fun to explore!

Oh wow, this is my kinda place. I loved how you could walk up on those walls and over that arch too, despite the lack of safety railings. I couldn't help but giggle over the entourage from the cruise ship (when you travel as much as us, you just know when they're from a cruise ship) and ironically I was just thinking, it reminded me of Kotor in Montenegro when I was in a walled city, a cruise ship had docked, and cruise staff were going round with the number paddles with hoards following them... cut to the next scene where you say it reminds you of Dubrovnik. Not the same, but I saw huge similarities between them both and they're so close to one another. Can fully understand why the bus was packed getting up there as it's an adorable place to have a nosey around!

Yes I'd say Kotor and Dubrovnik are very similar - you certainly know when there's a cruise ship in! Ha yes at least you know you're in the main tourist zone when you start to see those little numbered signs 😂

@@MattWhitingsEurope thanks, it just looked a bit dull, but based on your video we plan to go in September. Also, what drone do you have and do you need to get any permissions to fly it.

It was fairly cloudy all week but hot. Good weather for exploring, I would think that in September the weather will still be warm and bright. In terms of drones, I use a Mavic Air which I've had for over 4 years and is still going strong. There is a helpful page here which notes some of the drone regulations in France... uavcoach.com/drone-laws-in-france/ . Drone rules can be quite hard to understand sometimes, it's always best to do a little bit of research before you travel. I often find that if you're sensible people will leave you alone. Sensible = don't take off or land in busy areas, avoid flying close to people or sensitive buildings/areas, comply with any local signage, don't fly over 400ft (unless you know the country allows it). There are some really good travel (small) drones out there at the moment, I guess I'll end up replacing mine in the next year or two, we'll see. Are you thinking or getting one?

@@MattWhitingsEurope thanks again for your help. I've just brought the DJI Mini 3 Pro, still getting to grips with it but it's a great little bit of kit.

No probs, have a fantastic trip! Let me know if you've got any more questions. The Mini 3 Pro looks incredible, I'm sure you'll get some wonderful shots out of it!
