  • One project offers a comfortable place to sit, the other gives you a leg up. On this episode, the Woodsmith Shop team build two different stool projects. There are plenty of opportunities to give these projects your own look and both can be made in a weekend.

I’m almost thinking of making the 3 legged stool with a Star Trek emblem

As a long time subscriber to Woodsmith magazine,i.e. from 1982, it would be very helpful if you would include the issue number that these projects appeared in. Some of us no doubt have the magazine and therefore have already purchased the plans, so to speak. But then, I guess we could search the back issues ourselves. Just thinking.

The Step Stool is from Woodsmith #221 and the Shop Stool is from ShopNotes #122. ***Here is a helpful secret that always helps me track down plan origins from WoodsmithPlans.com... on the plan page, in the "Select Your Plan Package" box, hover your cursor over "Imperial". A 2 letter, 5 digit code will pop up. The first 2 letters indicate the magazine (WS=Woodsmith, SN=ShopNotes, WB=Workbench, PW=PopWood), the next 3 digits are the issue number, and the last 2 digits are the starting page. Example for the Step Stool WS22128= Woodsmith Issue# 221, page 28.

@@colonel6007 - This is true and a downfall of that little hack unfortunately. 😔 I’ll see what else I can come up with.
