He didn't share his full testimony on the View. He does talk about repenting and accepting Jesus as his personal Savior. It took me a long time to watch the Chosen. While I was watching the first episode, my adult daughter saw part of it. Unbeknownst to me, she watched the first two seasons. That was almost a year ago. She has been a proud atheist for most of her adult life. She asked me for a bible and started reading. Two weeks ago she repented, accepted Jesus and was baptized. It was the Chosen who opened the door for her to actually begin to think that there is a God. We never know how God will work in someone's life. The Chosen series encourages people to read the Bible for themselves.
I agree. I've seen many comments of people who now read the bible from watching the show. I love the show. There is almost nothing I can watch anymore. I like biblical shows but I don't let them replace my Bible study. The View is a show from Hell. Those people ...things... are satanists.
If God used The chosen to bring your daughter to Christ then it's good but it God can use wicked stuff as well right. So just because God used it doesn't make it good. In fact, i watched The chosen before reading The New Testament and really saw the contrast later

I'm not a fan of the series, mostly because its produced by a mormon company (Angel Studios/Vid Angel) and the director (Dallas jenkins) thinks mormons are Christians, when they are not.
But of course, God can use anything in our lives to get our attention and draw us near to him through Christ. So praise the Lord, that her heart was softened and she is saved.
I was also raise in the Catholic religion, walking away at 17. 21 years later a woman shared the gospel with me and I was thrilled. Shocked when I read the Bible. No recollection of any Catholic ever enlightening me on Christ's mission. Cult members are very hard to convert..only God can touch our hearts.
I went through questions like this young Victor. Why is loving someone of the same sex is bad Lord? He answered, because it is a sin. Not then but, by God's grace years later. I chose Jesus over my sinful life style and all. And I have never experienced such peace and joy my whole life. Praise God! Amen

After Ray tells the man that he can prove God scientifically in 30 seconds, and asks if he wants to hear it, the guy says “not really”. Ray laughs and tells him he’s very honest, and without missing a beat he continues going through the law pointing out we’re all sinners, and our need of the Savior, Jesus….,,Priceless 🙏💕 Thanks for pressing on Ray!
When unrepentant folks are ok with a show about Jesus, and it doesnt convict them of their sin and theyre desperate need for the Savior, its a red flag. If the Chosen was following scripture, most non Christians would hate it.
I think "the view" is not a good way to measure and judge the chosen, rather "the view" is a good way to measure and judge how fallen this world has become. Shalom!
When people read the Bible and it doesn't convict them of their sin and their desperate need for the Savior, it's a red flag. (Which happens all the time BTW. Every person who has read the Bible will not be going to heaven.) I hope this helps point out how illogical your reasoning is.
You are so right in your assessment of "The Chosen." After watching 1-3 Seasons I saw inconsistencies that conflicted with Biblical teachings. The 3-Season made it obvious it was beyond scripture. After realizing that I did further research and found Angel Studios is associated with the Mormon Church and the more I researched the more it became obvious that this a deceptive show meant to mislead the audience. We really have to be very careful in these times of False Teachings. I have more to say but for now great comment.

It’s really painful watching these Hollywood people talk about the false “Jesus” they claim to believe in. All leading people away from the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as found in His Holy word.

One of the biggest giveaways that something is unbiblical and/or not pleasing to God is: "Does the world love it?" The world is opposed to the real Jesus...they crucified Him!

He says it with so much love. I really think it hits these men deep. They so often lack genuine Godly love.
Jonathan said in his very quick testimony that he surrendered everything, his entire life to Jesus. Now, doesn't surrender mean repentance, obedience, and trust?
Yes. Christians are often too quick to judge honestly. Jesus told people to surrender everything for him. And if that's what this man really did, and God really blessed him, then are we not also discrediting the work God himself may have done? At the end of the day, God is supposed to be the ultimate judge, not Ray Comfort or any other person in this comment section.
@@tryphenarose384 yeah, I understand that Christians can get paranoid because the Bible speaks of a great deception, and as an paranoid reaction end up engaging in a very narrow-minded black and white type of thinking. I don't blame them because that's called human frailty.
Of course, we are not called to live in paranoia, but in faith. And our limited minds do not have the capacity to perceive the expanse of the work of God's grace in people's lives. For all we know, the Lord means to save those 2 women and is using Jonathan for His purpose. As for us, our job is not to condemn, but to pray for people.
Yes, this was not just simply a prayer for money. He specifically said he surrendered his life to Jesus and then added that he also prayed and received a miracle the same day. Just because it was a financial miracle does not discredit God’s glory or that it happened to him. While this type of miracle may appeal to unbelievers more, this is still his testimony and is a wonderful thing that he was saved and is willing to boldly share it on a secular platform like the view. I do not see how this is at all an example of him being like the world. Did Jesus not go into Samaria to reach people when everyone else would avoid and walk around it? We are to be a light to everyone, including the hosts of the view. They are still lost souls and I pray they are saved in Jesus name. He may not have shared the gospel with them the way others may feel he should have but he is planting seeds. ”It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.“

Correct, we are not supposed to judge people, but we are told in the Bible to judge the fruit. He has been in ads promoting the Abide app and he does the crossing of the heart which is what Catholics do and says in the name of the father, son , and Holy Spirit. As Christians we do not do the crossing of the heart and there is a difference between Catholic, Mormon and Christian. I do hope people accept the true Jesus of the Bible and do not put Jonathan in place of Him. I hope none of this comes across as rude, I just hope people are aware of these things.
@@april-showers77 I'm a Christian from an evangelical church, but when you read the entire Bible you'd find that worshippers that Jesus is seeking are those who worship in spirit and in truth. No one goes to hell because of crossing themselves or wearing a crucifix. If Jesus is truly their Savior and Lord then they belong to Him.
Praying for Victor. I really thought he was going to be hostile towards Ray. That was my own sinful heart making an assumption about Victor based on his appearance and sexuality. I pray he seeks the Lord with his whole heart.
It’s really hard isn’t it. Trying to discern and not judge is a very fine line I’m having trouble with. Especially since The Chosen was part of my coming to seek Jesus with all my heart. As a new believer, it was very helpful to put personalities to certain things I’d read. Like Nathaniel under the fig tree. I never really understood that until watching the scene. Christians are very critical of it, but I personally was very grateful for it. I no longer watch TV or movies because they’re mostly all have wickedness in them. Anyway, I appreciated that you were mindful of your hearts intentions. I’ve learned that The Bible itself reveals to each person what’s in their heart. Some people use it as a weapon against people. I found so much hope and grace and forgiveness in it, and that has gripped my heart and I also want to have that same grace for everyone else. But it is difficult at times to remember the grace. ❤
@@NEnglerI am so happy you have found hope, grace, and forgiveness in the Bible. Please cling on to it with your whole heart and never let it go. As that is why Jesus died on the cross for us. To save us and give us hope, grace, and forgiveness for all our sins. But sometimes, as Christians, in our zeal for God we tend to forget this and want to rely on our works, what we do or don’t do, how much, or how little we do for God etc. To the point that we start to become self-righteous in believing that our way is the only way. And I used to be this way. But God showed me a valuable lesson in that by reminding me of His grace and mercy. That He did it all on the cross for me so there is nothing of myself that can please Him other than my faith and belief in Him. Loving Him and loving others.
We tend to forget this at times and instead start using His words as weapons against other people like you said. And this deeply hurts Him and causes Him genuine sorrow because instead of drawing people to Him by showing the same grace He showed us, and still shows us daily, we push them away by our mean words and harsh judgements. We forget that we were once in many of these people’s shoes, we were once wicked and on our way to hell, we were once babes in Christ still learning the ropes of our faith, we were once clueless on many things in the Bible not knowing everything, and truly still don’t know everything, etc.
We forget this and start to come to the conclusion that we have “arrived” and therefore have the right to look down on others and stick our noses up at them. When the truth is we have not “arrived” until we are done in this life. God is continuously working in each and every one of us. Continuing the good work He started in us until He brings it to completion on the day of Jesus Christ. And we forget that we all have our own personal relationship with Jesus and are at different levels. But that as long as we remain in Him, He will always be faithful to guide us into the truth even when we err, sin, or miss the mark, as we so often do. He knows how weak we can be as we are only dust. And has such great mercy and compassion towards us. And in return He wants us to show that same grace and compassion towards others. Forgive as we have been forgiven. God bless you my brother or sister in Christ and always remember His grace. Never allow anyone to take it from you. It is yours. He died to give it to you. But most importantly to give you eternal life 🙏🏽✝️💕.

I'm glad I read this post. Victor is a special young man, who's been mislead by many who've caused him to stumble. Remember what Jesus said about those who cause the little one's to stumble, and how it would be better for a yoke to be tied around their neck and thrown into the ocean. Also, his parable of the prodigal son, who, after realizing the error of his ways, caused his Father to rejoice, even more so than he had for his son who had never stumbled. Let's pray for Victor together, and ask that we might also receive His same Holy Grace, in Jesus' name, amen.

I haven' t been watching the Chosen but I've heard stories about how people have been drawn to Christ because of it.
Yes it helped me too to have a deeper relationship with Jesus because I was able to see the human side of Him in the show, how He could’ve felt, all those emotions and feelings. I feel like people are just too quick to judge, the show has never once shaken my faith. It has brought healing and made me seek God wholeheartedly which I never did before. Some of our Sikh brothers in India also came to know Christ through this show

@@romandaigle455 sorry to hear your thoughts, but I have never based my faith on feelings. You know nothing of how I came to Christ, it’s not easy to be a Christian in a country where I live where we are a minority and we get persecuted. Nobody says the show replaces scripture, all I said was I could imagine how Christ’s human side could’ve felt and it helped me understand it. If you have time to judge someone else’s faith, I suggest you use that time instead to pray for missionaries, ministry workers and Christians in countries where they are constantly persecuted
Its a bit liberal pretty soft and not very accurate but follows the basic story and is quite wholesome. Id recommend for entertainment.
This year I find myself struggling to pray, read the scriptures, and watch these videos. But I know it’s the RIGHT thing to do so I press on and pray, read, and enjoy these blessings that Living Waters post. I AM SO THANKFUL every single time I watch one of these, the joy in indescribable to see the lost hear the gospel. I pray these precious souls come to the Lover of their souls ❤️
I was just like this Catholic lady; I didn't know the gospel of John, didn't know that Jesus paid my debt of sins, thought I could save myself through works. We NEED people that Ray and you to tell us the good news to make more disciples, as The Lord tells us to do.
I was catholic, once I found a church that was Bible only, it was eye opening what I did not know...
I also I surrendered my life to Christ and put all my problems in his hands❤

I believe God is using the show the chosen to reach many non religious people with the Gospel.
The inherent problem with your argument is that Christ prophesied of religious deception in the last days, especially from ppl who peddle counterfeit Christs like the one from this show. Ppl based this asinine assumption on the false premise that God is trying to save everybody before Christ returns, and it's simply not true at all. All they do is prove the Bible true where it says Satan deceives the whole world, even the "Christian" churches.

Yes, I agree. The director continually encourages people to go read the bible and look it up for themselves. I have been amazed at how many scenes in the chosen I didn't think were in the bible until I searched for it and found it was there. There is definitely some things I don't agree with, but for the most part I believe God is using the show to spread the good news of the gospel.

It's a stupid TV show that clearly blasphemies God and twists his words to please ppl of the world, Catholics and LDS.
I can give many examples...first off..Jesus Christ wouldn't ask Matthew or any human their opinion about his sermon...why ask a person that's sinful this? Of course they're not gonna want to hear something that convicts them..Jesus Christ already knew what to say because the Father told him what to say.
Calling Jesus Christ illiterate, ignorant, saying Lazarus would've been better than him, hacing fake Jesus say "there are some things even I can't do" is all blasphemy.
Calling John the Baptist "crazy John" could be considered blasphemy against The Holy Spirit considering that it was the Holy Spirit that moved John to do what he did.
John the Baptist wouldn't argue with Jesus and Jesus would've never tried to convince John to not do what God called him to do.
The real Jesus Christ convicted ppl of their sins, not pretend that they're innocent pitiful children....the real Jesus Christ said to the man that he healed by the pool "sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you" in the show they completely took that out.
They also make it seem that Jesus Christ is dependent on his mother when he is only dependent on God the father....need I go on?

I do not worship Mary, but I do worship God The Father, and God The Father is the only being that I worship.
I do however have respect for Mary since she is the one who carried, birthed, and raised The Messiah, and since she was willing to do so without hesitation.
If you know The Commandment about honouring your Mother and Father, then you must know that Jesus also honoured Mary when they were both living on Earth.
But Jesus still put God The Father first, and I do the same in this regard.

It's weird because the chosen series highlights the fact that God hates sin and that Christ alone saves. Typical host of the view taking things out of context and forming their own VIEW on things... They've done that for years.

I don't see any signs that the people on view has Jesus in them. It's really hard for me to watch them, so I don't. I pray they find their way through Jesus
I've doubted the value of the Chosen since the beginning. Now seeing the View likes it confirms my suspicions.
I will say watching the show brought a prodigal son (me) back to the Father. God still uses the show for His glory.

I found it strange the day they were gifted with crazy amount of donations for their project, and the fact that even the world loves it! That was a red flag, but all I ever saw was an episode where they have their “Jesus” character call Mary mother…that really shocked me. We know that Jesus Himself NEVER ONCE addressed Mary as Mother, and for good reason. They should not be attributing any words at all to what Jesus said.

God uses everyone who's given their life to Him..his testimony may not be the exact same as you or me..but God knows his heart..and he testified that he "surrendered".. That was his beginning of a new journey with Jesus.. and only GOD knows what those women needed to hear..Not all of us are called to preach..but we are all called to be a light..I believe the Holy Spirit will do good things with this interview...ALL things work together for good for those who are called according to HIS purpose..not ours.. We live in a very judgmental world..Jonathan planted a seed..That he can't do "anything" without Jesus..not even pay his rent...
@Dianalynn62 Well said!! Apparently Ray Comfort has only one approved formula for being saved and Jonathan Roumie's seed planting on The View does not suffice for Ray Comfort's salvation test. Fortunately the Holy Spirit knows the hearts of people and in whom's heart He resides. I for one greatly appreciate Jonathan Roumie's acting and his personal testimony. I also greatly appreciate The Chosen and how it is leading many to read their Bibles like never before.
We live in a godless world we need more righteous judgment or how else will we tell someone know what they are doing is wrong?

As Christ followers it is not our responsibility to pass judgment, but to love others and be ready to share with others when they ask us about the hope within us. We also have the privilege and responsibility to share the good news, make disciples and baptizing others. Jesus, the Christ, in whom we trust, will do righteous judgment when he returns.

@@stevereason6931 Yes, he surrendered his life to Jesus. That IS admitting he is a sinner, humbling himself and asking Jesus to save him, and change him. Judging a persons salvation on verbal semantics is very unfortunate, and I believe grieves the Holy Spirit. The Word is Jesus, and he knows our hearts, just like he knew the criminal's heart who was on the cross next to him when he defended Jesus and asked him to remember him. Jesus said, he would be with him in paradise. He didn't need the criminal to say the words, "I'm a sinner, I repent, will you be my Lord and Savior?"
I'm a firm-in-my-faith Christian. As I was watching the interviews, there were a few seconds in which I felt a bit bored & was about to move on, but I was disappointed in myself for feeling that. I stayed with the interviews & felt such joy & compassion. I quickly realized I had just met with temptation & my obedience to God was rewarded with the joy of the spirit! God is so loving. He designed the parent-child relationship to be similar to His relationship with us. We MUST teach the modern world about God's timeless Love & the judgment that awaits each of us. I have such compassion for both these people. The young man is in such need of kindness & support. The young woman was sweet & sincere. I pray they each find the glory that awaits each person, through Jesus Christ! Thank you for posting this. You have very a special gift for sharing God's Word. Please don't ever turn away or give up! Praying for the guy who lost his mom
We left our last Church, because one of the pastors kept using the show "the chosen" to compare to the scriptures that he was reading. When my husband confronted the pastor, he got angry, and told us we were like the Pharisees. This church has been around since 1978, and has over 1,000 dedicated people attending. They also were teaching an evening class on the Enneagram..
better off in God's presence at home 🏡 don't give up on looking for a new church and it takes time unless you already had one in mind
@@Dafna-ke2wr yes, we are at a wonderful truth teaching Church. There's few and far between in southern Oregon here, as most of them have turned progressive, universal, and NAR.

Ray taught me to share the gospel in 2007. I have a friend in Toronto who is doing evangelism with tracts from Living Waters and a letter that I wrote and show on my channel about end times and the rapture. This friend is BLIND since birth, but she is going strong on sharing the gospel. I also have a friend in Calgary who just recorded her testimony of repentance from divorce and remarriage that is on my channel. I love Ray too, and he has equipped many of us to "do the work of an evangelist." Maranatha.

@@WalkingbytheSpiritAlwaysI have watched Jack Hibbs preach on this subject and he taught just as the Bible does on marriage and divorce, he referred to 1 Corinthians 7. There are circumstances that divorce might take place, and/or remarrying can take place. Of course, God wants for all marriages to stay together before the other options take place.
Victor looks like he is really struggling. I really feel for him, and will pray that God will bring him to repentance, and faith in Jesus.
The problem with productions like The Chosen is that they stray from the scriptures. They put man-made words in "Christ's" mouth- things He never said. That NEVER turns out well.
You know how hard it would be to make a series that sticks to the red letters word for word? It would be impossible. Anybody with any common sense will realize that it's a SHOW and it doesn't replace the actual Bible

You've got the show all wrong...watch it or stop bad mouthing it...its about Jesus and the apostles..its beautifully done...it has brought millions of ppl to Jesus...even the actors who play the parts were not Christians and have turned to the Lord....Jonathan plays the part of Jesus...he came to the Lord..these are not bad ppl...nothing can take away from Gods word..but Dallas was moved by the Lord to do this series...actually look up the producer and the ppl that backed the show...God fearing ppl....Satan is the one trying to stop the show..are you going to play into his hands...its totally about God and our saviour..

In biblical times they built alters and carved images of gods for specific things… fertility, crops, etc… like pantheism … I wasn’t referencing a display or toy. Watch the video again and you’ll see what I’m talking about. He walks out and they jokingly make the sign of the cross. I also heard about people working on the set who actually treat him with a different kind of reverence… thus, idolatry. My comment was more on recognizing the human heart in relation to God’s moral law

The Chosen is always clear that it's goal is to point people towards reading The Bible for themselves. I watched it, it was easily digestible and started me on my journey to faith. At least he tried to go and speak to people who need God.

Dallas speaks out of both sides of his mouth...he says "read your Bible" and then say that he's showing the real gospel and an "authentic Jesus" to the world.

Either Dallas is lying or he's not listening to the Holy Spirit very well because the Holy Spirit would never influence someone to lie...he especially, wouldn't influence someone to lie about his word.

Based on their comments to Jonathan about the show they never really watched it and were most likely reading from a teleprompter. The Chosen is a really good show and encourages those watching to go to the Bible. I believe the Lord is working through the show to bring people to himself. A lot of Christians forget where they once were before salvation and don’t give the same grace they were given.
Yeah, I agree. It can be used for good or bad. Mature believers who know their Bible, ought to be able to discern what is biblically true and what is Hollywood.
We don’t need to be fearful such things. Rather, we should learn how to use them for the glory of God.

The world loves the Jesus of the chosen series.
That's why I decided to not watch it. I wanted my relationship with God to be forged authentically
I have been a born again in love with Jesus and read the Bible and walk the walk the best I can for 24 years and this show has ministered to me. It makes me sad there are so many critical Christians. The show isn’t perfect but God never used anyone who was that He may be glorified in our earthen vessels. As for the View, we could just allow ourselves to be impressed with how God can reach people.
Yeah "Christians" can also be used by the enemy to cause confusion and division. It's sad how many fall for it
I was a little weary about watching The Chosen and now I am definitely feeling convictions over it. Staying in the Bible from now on. These people need to really read their Bible and understand what is in it, not this drama that they put on television. This show can only imagine what Jesus was like and these women would be some of the people Jesus would rebuke because of the lies, hate, and evil that they spread.

A lot of people try to warn people about the danger of this show but no one wants to listen. They love the jesus of the chosen but not the Real Christ of the Bible .
There is a reason why our Lord said that only a few will make it to the narrow road.
Someone I know who says they're Christian but won't read their Bible told me how great The Chosen is and that I should watch it.... That's when I knew never to watch it. All we need to know is found in the Bible!
I have never seen a blond haired, blue eyed Jesus in all my 64 years of life! I knew Jonathan was Catholic, but I had no idea the whole cast of The View was also Catholic. Enlightening. Thank God He became the propitiation for my sin and gave me His righteousness so that I could have a relationship with Him. I was blessed to see Victor pray. I pray he comes to a full understanding of his need for Jesus Christ.
I am going to trust God that seeds are being planted and I'm excited that both the audience that is in the studio and the TV audience heard this.

Well what do you say about the prodigal son? He returned to the father just to have something to eat. Scripture also tells us it is the goodness of God that leads a man to repentance.
Read the context of the goodness of God leading us to repentance and you’ll see that it is wrapped in wrath. It’s in Romans chapter 2.

as usual, many people get their ideas of God and Spirituality from the entertainment industry. People need the truth and that means time spent reading and understanding the Bible. There are a lot of folks out there that are lost, lost, lost but they think they are redeemed in Christ. It is a tragedy, the world, especially America, is ignorant about the things of God and until they turn to God and realize their miserable condition it will continue to be a world full of the lost, with no hope.

I have enjoyed watching The Chosen (just 2 seasons of it so far). I am quite well-versed in the Bible, so it is very interesting to me to see how they imagine detail into the stories. I am very thankful for my strong Bible background, because I know what the Bible says, and then I can watch The Chosen and think "that is an interesting interpretation of a possibility." But I definitely do not let THEIR details overshadow what is actually written in the Bible. And I'm somewhat concerned for people who watch it and don't have the Bible background (or who do not start reading the Bible). And that's what I tell people--that some of their imagined details are very creative, but nothing that I have seen has contradicted what is in the Bible. I watch it with my 91-year-old mother, who is often confused because she doesn't know the Bible. At least we can discuss some of it, and I look for ways to point her to Jesus. As far as The View liking it & this "version" of Jesus--that doesn't bother me at all. When Jesus walked the earth LOTS of people liked him, especially at first! They turned away when they started to find out what he was really saying/ the ramifications of what he was saying. I think Jesus IS welcoming to all. And I FIRMLY believe that God is not desiring that ANY should perish! It DOES feel Pharisaical to reject Roumie for appearing on The View...just like the Pharisees went ballistic when Jesus was hanging out with tax collectors and sinners. And while Roumie didn't share his whole testimony here, the part he DID share was about surrender to Jesus. So whether he prayed an exact "sinner's prayer" (which is not specifically in the Bible) the surrendering all and following Jesus IS specifically in the Bible. Time will reveal the fruit. I'm not saying The View women are Christians...but Roumie is not promoting anti-Biblical stuff in anything that I have seen. I'm not Roman Catholic, and I have many theological disagreements with aspects of their teaching...but I am unwilling to say that they are all going to hell. I think it is much more likely that there is some wheat in there (among the tares).

The reason they love this alternate Jesus is because it’s NOT the Jesus of the Bible. This Jesus is more laid back, does not offend , and conforms to their own world view. If this “Jesus” is so accurate as they say then why aren’t more people and celebrities trying to seek after the REAL Jesus? If the show was so popular you’d see a revival.

Many who fell away from their Christian faith are coming back because they look up references they remembered. God can use actors to bring people to Him.
I picked up a secular magazine 25 years ago and found my way to Christ from a tiny advertisement with a few sentences that burned into my head to where I bought my first student bible to learn more. Then that brought me to Bible studies… to repentance to seeking a biblical centered church… to baptism.
Asking for prayers for next month. My church and I are going to south Texas to beach reach to evangelize. This Sunday we are starting the “Hard Questions” apologetics course and it would be awesome to also get prayers for that. Thank you and God Bless. ❤

This is the new “Christianity”. The deal is you make your own set of scriptural rules and your own Jesus to suit your sinfulness and then call yourself a true follower of Christ. So wrong, so sad and truly horrifying to believe you are saved, with no repentance, making your own version of the scriptures and not turning your life to follow the true words of Christ. Obviously sinning; but no repentance because you have done nothing wrong. Thank you Jesus for letting me hit the bottom of the barrel to find the true Rock of Ages and the truth with no exceptions.
