The dynamic between them has always been there. The feelings they've had for each other were so on display for the audience, throughout the series. The natural development of their exquisite relationship has been sublime. Its not felt rushed and the writers truly know these two characters, nothing less to say about Melissa and Eric, bringing Tim and Lucy alive and in love. Its all really well done. Such enjoyment watching these two ❤️❤️ And the VIDEO is incredible 😍 how seamlessly you tell their story. Well done!

This was just absolutely perfect! You pieced together every important moment that flew through my mind while watching this scene for the first time and every time thereafter, plus some I hadn’t even considered, like the way she also dated Nolan because he was safe. All her previous relationships have been safe, and she’s held each one of those men at arm’s length until the relationship imploded. She got closer to “good and right and real” with Nolan, but Jackson was right. It was never meant to last. This, with Tim, is risky, but it’s the real deal and they both know it. I know she’s scared, but Tim has been teaching her how to harness her inherent bravery for years now, and he will continue to do so. They can do this. They WILL do this. And I can’t wait to watch it all unfold. ❤

BUT Season 3, seeing what Jackson went through with his Racist new T.O. b/c Lopez has been promoted to Detective & they less than a mth to officially becoming p2s & are no longer Rookies. It's a powerful but hard, but it CHANGED Tim in away he didn't expect, and it changed Sgt. Grey. Seeing how Jackson so fearful in the beginning to literally be willing 2 put not only his career BUT literally his life on the line to help change happen & to get this Racist T.O. removed once & 4 all. It even changes Sgt Grey as he is 1st called out by Jackson & Sgt Grey is SO FURIOUS, he tells him to get the hell of his office. To suddenly keeping his wife, Luna waiting for him to go home together, & comes in & sees her husband very serious & somber. B/c deep down he KNOWS that Jackson is right. BUT he also wants 2 protect Jackson when he rolls up on him in the morning w/ his police car, he tells Jackson that he was right. BUT in his plan & strategy Grey tells him, in helping to bring this Racist T.O. down, he also tells him that he's gonna assign Tim & Lucy as backup by assigning them to the same sector every shift. Jackson says he doesn't need it. Sgt Grey wisely says, "NON-NEGOTIABLE if you're gonna be out there, you're gonna have backup."

I know I'm not alone in watching this video more than once. Often w/ these videos something stands out differently the next time. Or b/c we ALL know they finally have admitted their feelings & Tim took the initiative, which I've always felt Lucy NEEDED & why she wasn't forthcoming in Vegas & played things down partly b/c they were under cover, partly 2 protect her heart & b/c Tim was still in the realization stage that I can understand it would've been probably 2 confusing & there were things that they both they needed 2 work thru. BUT when I found myself watching it again. I remember REALLY feeling 4 Tim when after he told Lucy that he & Ashley broke up, suddenly Chris was there. It was SO OBVIOUS he was far less hurting abt Ashley, BUT was hurting & longing 4 the girl he didn't think he could have & wasn't available, as we c him standing by his truck. At the time I was disappointed that Tim missed when Lucy did turn back around & looked at him. BUT neither saw the other. BUT watching this now in the present, as heartbreaking as it was 2c Tim hurting & longing, I think in the end it helped him to REALLY KNOW HE WANTED 2B WITH LUCY!!!! There was no ambiguity. And HE LAID IT ALL ON THE LINE & TOOK THE INITIATIVE seeing how Lucy was the one who was the MOST scared & SO MUCH SO, that she told Tim it wasn't worth the risk!!!! And from Jackson & Tim we c that Lucy had always been in rel'ships that were safe. Nolan, Emmett & Chris. AND I think in the end him clearly pining 4 her & SUDDENLY telling Grey that he was fine to drive alone & Grey asks, "Is there some reason you two can't ride together?!" Esp Tim's hesitancy & how he said "Of course not," wz pretty revealing. He REALLY wasn't sure & thought maybe Lucy was happy with Chris & did love him. BUT them being 4ced to ride 2gether & Chris who literally just sprung moving in 2gether but ALSO buying a house, showed Tim how unhappy she really was w/ Chris & clearly told Tim that she wasn't in love with Chris. BUT...still Lucy needed Tim to take the initiative & be unequivocal!!!! As said, "Of course I'm scared..." I do think that 1st kiss was when he REALLY realized how deep his feelings were. But he also had to sort things out & Lucy was ALSO right 2 call Tim out also 4 staying in a rel'ship, that wasn't working!!! They have paced Chenford out SO WELL this season so far!!!!

In TV land, how long has time passed since the first kiss? Including Lucy going to UC school. 4-6months? So from the first kiss, all of this unraveled maybe within 6 months? Crazy. It’s an unpopular opinion…I do feel sorry for Ashley and Chris. Since the kiss and them wanting to hook up when they got back from their assignment . Neither of them stood a chance.
