with the arrival of Messi, the Copa America, and the World cup all happening all in a row in the USA, it's the perfect storm for US soccer to have a gigantic leap forward. the MLS must take this opportunity and make the best of it, now is the time to make some changes and get as many international players as possible. it could make the MLS one of the most popular leagues in the world.

If not getting out of the group stage means Berhalter losing his job, then I am rooting against the US in the group stage of Copa America. Small price to pay to, hopefully, have shot at getting a qualified coach for the next World Cup.

Let's not forget how horrible usmnt looked vs Netherlands in the last world cup. I wouldn't put usmnt in the same group as Argentina and Brazil, smh. No way pulisic is in the same group/level as messi or vini. The only thing that will make Lalas realistic is more usmnt losses like they lost to Netherlands in the last world cup. Wish the south American teams could hear lalas speak (translated to Spanish and Portuguese, of course).

@@Liquidcadmus yeah we (im English) have, it's the best I've seen us have in my lifetime (im now 40) we have a squad that's good enough to be in contention but a below average manager, I just expect he'll do something that costs us at some point, its why I think France will end up winning it
@@mrmr5580 I'm Argentine, I remember the English team in the 1998 wc also being really strong, incredibly Gascoine was left out that time. That English squad was one of the contenders to win that tournament.
I would be happy to see England or Croatia win this Eurocup. We'll see what happens.
@Liquidcadmus the 1998 squad wasn't bad but lacked a bit of personality, the game vs Romania comes to mind, the problem with Gascoigne was he kept getting in his own way (he couldn't stop drinking or doing something stupid) Owen was good in that tournament, it was before his hamstring basically tore itself apart, I didn't think we were a contender for the trophy, I actually thought the Brazilians would do it in 98 (R9 Ronaldo was amazing at that time) there were a few teams that I thought were better than us, I did like that Argentina team, I was a teenager at the time, I played for the local youth team, I was a CDM/CB, I know he wasn't in the 1998 squad but I based my game on Fernando Redondo, in the 98 Argentina World cup squad, I loved watching Batistuta

@@CarlosLara-xu1mjdude Colombia are coming off of a 21-game unbeaten streak, which includes beating teams like Germany and Spain btw, and they finished 3rd in the last Copa. On paper they might not be better than Uruguay, but I don't think there's much difference when it comes to performance.
