Incredibly circuitous taxi route to 1R! I wonder why your aircraft wasn’t cleared to taxi east from the terminal and then south to the 1R holding point.

Thank you for watching. I may not recall exactly where this aircraft came from but United flies from IAD, ORD and EWR to Athens so this flight could have come from ORD

That window shade setting is horrible. What were the crew thinking?
Not a crew issue, the entire left side of the 787 seems to be broken. No idea if they will ever fix it :(

@@skyeye787Flew on one of their 788s recently (N26902) and both sides were broken. Only about three rows had working windows. Sad to see as this really ruins an entire flight for us aviation enthusiasts. I guess I’ll have to avoid UA 787-8s at all costs until they figure this out.
This is the exact same flight I'll be taking next September, except we'll be a little closer to the front! Polaris!!!

@SkyEye787 I just book my flight IAD-CDG on a 787-8, and my seat is 46L… is that a good seat or should I change?
46L is on the right side so if the 787-8 is still the way it is in this video no issues

Because the windows were broken
The window color improved some, as the flight was pulling up to gate, just a little greenish. Goes to show you what happens when overcomplicating something as basic as a window shade!

United 787-8s have seen this issue on their left side of the aircraft and more and more 787-8s are seeing this issue now
The window color makes it look like there's terrible pollution!
