    I have seen many " tutorials " about my work and I can say that this is the one closest to the technique you use to make my photographic effect. The name of this technique is Fronfil.

    i did this with my own photos and it didn't work out when it came to inverting the the mask. Is this due to not having cc or the photo quality??

    The Blue Lightning TV tutorials are really good... but hold on a minute. Didn't you UPscale the image there at 3:40? Since it's not a smart object that move would destroy a lot of pixels.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  9 років тому

      ventende No. The enlargement is negligible. Also, Smart Objects don't prevent pixels from being "destroyed" when the image is enlarged. Smart Objects prevent only the ORIGINAL image from being destroyed.

    • @Underhills
      @Underhills 9 років тому

      If you exceed the size of the original image then pixels will be destroyed, but the point in having smart objects is to start off with a pretty highrez image and be able to upscale and downscale without any data loss - within the max size of course. If you upscale an image that's not smart you will loose any day of the week. When you upscaled your image I noticed that it wasn't a smart object, so no matter what the image would suffer.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  9 років тому

      ventende All of the above concerning smart objects is correct, however, keep in mind, the amount of upscaling in this particular lesson is so minimal that the "destruction" of pixels won't be at all noticeable.

    • @Underhills
      @Underhills 9 років тому

      Blue Lightning TV
      That depends on what media you intend to use the pixels. Online usage sure. Highend print? Doubtfully.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  9 років тому

      ventende I do appreciate your opinion, however, I've had hundreds of "high end" print work done over the past few decades and I can say without hesitation that when an image is at least 150 ppi or preferably 300 ppi and it's upscaled 5 - 10%, the printed dpi isn't compromised enough that one will notice a degradation of quality.

    Hey Marty! I was wondering if you could help me out. I want to know how to create a super speed effect like in the Flash poster. It's basically light streaks in addition to lightning. If you can't then what about burn marks on the road that look like something just ran across super fast. Heres the poster: imageserver.moviepilot.com/the-flash-pilot-quick-episode-review.jpeg?width=1280&height=720

    • @morduk87
      @morduk87 9 років тому

      Don't know if you have figured it out. But I would try and play around with some white/light yellow lines, and use outer glow, maybe some drop shadow, in blending mode. Not sure about what burn marks you mentioned. If it's the red "cracks" on the road, then I would use a red color on some lightning and mix it with a orange glow.
      Basically the image is lines, lightning and yellows, reds and orange :)
