What a gifted couple !! Meera Dev Burman wrote a number of Bengali songs for SD Burman. SD Burman has remained my favorite music director ever since I heard him first. He has sung many brillient bengali numbers. Didn't know Meera ji sang so well. May God keep them happy in heaven.

In 1930s and 40s Sachin Dev Burman was one of the most popular singing voices of Bengal. He sang some immortal songs. Even Gurudeb Rabindranath was a fan of his voice and requested him to sing his song. But as his Bengali had an East Bengal accent S D Burman did not dare to sing Rabindra Sangeet as he knew that Rabindranath was very much strict about pronunciation.
I never listen voice of Mira ji. So I congrats to this video maker .I shared it for Lacs of listeners of Tripura. Shachin Debbarman was a prince of Tripura Dynesty of Manikya RajBangsa. Miraji never came to Tripura.So we are eagerly waiting for more informative videos in respect of Mira Debbarman.She is our loving Bahu of Tripura Dynesty.
