I don’t believe Matthew is necessarily a Christian but as a Christian, I deeply appreciate someone from a practical and secular place confront the lies and delusion of self love. Very healthy conversations!!! And I believe liberates in deeply needed ways… 👏🏻
I like how Mathew says that "it's your job to take care of yourself".... it's not other people's job, so you shouldn't compare yourself to others... very interesting podcast, thank you both!❤❤❤❤
I love the question "What are you depriving, starving yourself off" and "Are you willing to starve and deprive yourself?"...I'd also like to add another question to that,"What are you getting from that relationship even if you feel starved that holds more value for you?". Just like Dr.Gabor Mate would say, "What did the addiction give you, despite it's negative consequences that you aren't willing to give it up?".
this is the most powerful, the most beautiful, the most helpful, the most informative episode I have listened to for my own growth at this time of my life. I cried my eyes out, it spoke to me on such a deep level. Thank you Arielle xxx
