Ah Bruce, your first watch review? I started to get all misty watching this! No macro shots, clever intros or wrist shots, you’ve come a long way since then. Still a good review.
I have 3 Damasko watches and they are all awesome. DA43, DC58 on bracelet and the DS30. The only problem with them is that they are so good, they are addictive. One can’t stop being mesmerized by the aura of quality and precision coning out of them. IMO, this is the best German tool watch making brand.
You’ve come a long ways Bruce! I came across this video 7 years too late! Looking for either one of these or the black dial version as an everyday/work/travel/etc piece. Nice job with the channel Bruce.
@@goonzjav I paid 1400 for a mint pre-owned watch, which is what it costs new, and the guy threw in the metal bracelet for free. Watch probably worth 1300 preowned (1400 totally new), so I'd say I got the 700$ bracelet for 100$.
Sir you just got another subscriber. Glad to find one great watch reviewer on UA-cam! I'm wearing DA20 daily and absolutely agree with what you pointed out that the case actually amplifies the noise made inside, ticking sound, winding noise or whatever.
I was scared to ding or mark my Dievas Vortex and have yet to make a mark on it.....but the DA45 With the Damast Submarine Steel has been worn through all kinds of adventures and still looks new.
Bruce, I am really considering the DK10/11. My question for you is how did you feel about the white dial vs a normal black dial. The lume on the white dial is pretty amazing, but I am just not sure how I feel about it.
I loved the white dial, but I think if I were to get one again I would try the black dial, the contrast seems to be more sharp so maybe a little more legible to me
I have a DA 36 Black and I've had it for a 3 years. Never going to sell that one. I've had 5 other Damasko's before including DA 47. Its great but I didn't need the 36 and the 47 so sold the da47.
+Bruce Williams I wish they would do the bracelet in the black Damast. I would get one for my DA36 Black... I mostly wear mine on a custom toshi strap i had made.
The watch I was never going to sell eventually got sold mainly to fund an Explorer I. Now I want a Damasko or Sinn again...think I will add the DA 36 on bracelet this time. I had my Damasko 4 years and only lost $150 on it ( bought it new from gnomon) but alot of that was just luck because the CAD was on par with USD when I bought and like $1.25CAD to 1USD when I sold
Hi Bruce! Love your watch reviews, great job on reviewing all the watches. Got to know your channel when i was looking for reviews for my tuna SBBN033. After watching your review, i got the tuna, and i love it. Now i was looking at Damasko DA47, and saw that it was your very first review video you posted. Would like to ask your opinion, after reviewing so many watches, do you still think damasko is a good watch to get? I am considering Sarx035 or dc47. I have a Rolex Sub, Explorer, Ball night train and seiko tuna. Do you recommend Sarx035 or DA47?
Thanks for that helpful response, I probably would feel the same as I flipped 2 sinn watches for the same reason.lm thinking of getting another dive watch to complement my seamaster 2254.50 you reckon the Marinemaster would look to similar?
+Philip Seiler Good question.... Apart from a similar bracelet design and the fact they are both black on black divers, they are pretty different watches. Congrats on yours btw, I've always enjoyed that Seamaster variation. I think if your a dive watch fan, you would enjoy both in a rotation. :)
can i ask what kind of discount you manage to negotiate?I am saving up for the DC56, and since Damasko is rare here, it's hard to know what is a reasonable discount.Any help wold be much appreciated.
Y_u_no_ Come I think this is on another planet to the Sinn 104. The Sinn is more dressy, more retro and as much as I like it, it brings nothing new to the table. Hi quality, nice movement with display bac, day and date, but the great tech seems to end here. This Damasko has so many patents, ice hardened steel, much better bezel action, almost indestructible finish, better AR. The amazing build continues inside, too. Finally, to be fair, this is a much more expensive watch and the Sinn is 200m Water Resistant. I’m no fan of a white faced watch, but if I saw someone with a DA44 or similar or a Sinn 104, I’d be blown away with the Damasko.
Lars Skovly they ripped off Sin, damasko used to make cases for sinn and took the drawings and started to make watches themselves. lol sinn went away from ice hardened steel because it gets magnetized really quick.
+Philip Seiler I highly respect Damasko, they make about the best tool watch you can buy at any price. In honesty.... I would rate the Damasko high, but I no longer own mine. I got tired of its no-nonsense look, and wanted a little more finese and beauty. My daily wear now is a Seiko Marinemaster. If you like the designs, you really get a exceptionally engineered product. That's the truth. They aren't for everyone though

Have you experienced any rust?

Thank you. This was my first ever video
Love my Damasko DA 42 with the Hirsch Robbie strap
Just got one of these bad boys a few days ago...got the bracelet almost free....sick! (Have the DA46)
how free?

Welcome Chris! Its kinda weird how it does that. Congrats on your daily driver Damasko :)
You also have a twelve hour timer with this bezel.
My fave, too.
First review and here I’m considering picking one of these up... nice job!
I was scared to ding or mark my Dievas Vortex and have yet to make a mark on it.....but the DA45 With the Damast Submarine Steel has been worn through all kinds of adventures and still looks new.
Mine is OTW soon Thanks for the great review only solidifies my choice! 👍
Awesome review! I have the same movement in my oris bc3 and the winding action is loud as well..
12hour timer. 60 minute timer. 60 second timer. Gmt function . Month calendar.
In my mind it’s the most useful bezel .

+varun singh I want to say it was 10 or 15 percent. I don't remember exactly
cool watch! Still have it?
Do you still have this watch? Any updates?
I love ❤️ your DAMASKO da47 I got DAMASKO da36 I live in salt lake Utah also
Hey Bruce. What would be your pick between this, the Sinn 104 and Oris aquis ?
Great (early days) review Bruce. Do you still have this one?
First review ever haha. I don't have it anymore. I sell a lot of the watches I show on the channel
Do you still wear and enjoy your damasko 2 years later
I have a DA 36 Black and I've had it for a 3 years. Never going to sell that one. I've had 5 other Damasko's before including DA 47. Its great but I didn't need the 36 and the 47 so sold the da47.
That's awesome. Probably doesn't even show much signs of wear. These watches are built so well. Thanks for the comment

Hi Bruce, I'm thinking of getting this exact watch. How's the black case holding up so far?
Why can’t I find this strap to buy anywhere I want it for my DA 46 so bad 😭
tks for sharing, nice review. how's the damest coating doing so far?
Thanks. I've since flipped this watch and no longer have it. But while I did- I couldn't put a mark on it. And I am pretty rough on my watches
Cool watch
by any chance could you say how much was the discount ?, been in mind for long time,

compliments this is a great watch
Thank you
one question please , how is the lume ?
Its pretty decent but can be hard to read in the early hours of the morning. Not as potent as the citizen promaster lumed dials
thank you sir
is this good for small wrists?

Sorry for the late reply! Most authorized retailers will do between 10 and 15 percent off of retail price
Good vid. I'm either getting this or a sinn 104. The tech going into a Damasko is ridiculous. Thnx

Damasko’s bracelets are beautiful, but a little expensive.
True that
do you know the thickness of the sapphire crystal?
Amr Ashraf 1/4 inch
Great watches. I have the DC56
Great review, it is very similar to Sinn watches. Same cace manufacturer?
And a little correction, Case is made by themself.
+Lars Skovly correct. Very well done too
Lars Skovly they ripped off Sin, damasko used to make cases for sinn and took the drawings and started to make watches themselves. lol sinn went away from ice hardened steel because it gets magnetized really quick.
not bad
You wear your watch in the shower? 😱😱😱

Always liked the 104 :)
You are NOT the real Bruce Williams!
Your NOT the real Jenny Titus!
@@BruceWilliams Do you know Bruce Williams the radio talk show host?
Haha yes I'm only kidding
Jenny Titus no, the real Bruce Williams is the watch review Bruce Williams!
