This guy having a very smooth and attractive voice.
Yup. Thought it was finally time to start producing. Wanted to get into this since quite some time already, but school's shut down now and I have plenty of time on my hands as they don't seem to have the knowledge and tech to do online classes hahah.
So refreshing to watch a tutorial catered to beginners who are also new to learning music entirely, not just new to Ableton. Most tutorials are for beginners but use so many terms that brand new beginners do not understand in the slightest. THANK YOU!

I really appreciate this video, it can be so overwhelming to open a new program and see so many buttons and drop down menus. Way to cherry pick the need-to-knows here, after 15 minutes, it's not so scary of an interface

It is really frustrating at first, but starts to get fun when you're able to loop back things you've created and use plug ins. I just spent an hour on my first project. I have so many sample packs and sounds, I need to find a better way of organizing everything.

This is absolutely wonderful, perfect introduction. Quick note: Around 12:45 you say click and drag. It took me some Googling to realize you meant to drag up and down! It was counterintuitive because the movement you see on the screen is horizontal, not vertical.
If you refer to 07:40 you can see he says to click and drag up and down. Most programs will have the same "clicking and dragging" behavior throughout the entire app. In any case if horizontal wasn't working, you could've tried vertical instead. All part and parcel of exploring the interface.
I just installed Ableton Live and this was the most helpful tutorial ever! You speak clearly, at a good pace and do an excellent job of explaining what you're doing, and most importantly WHY you're doing it. Thank you and keep it up!

Are you talking about the node for the volume fade on audio clips? If you can't find it make sure you have automation turned off, this can be achieved by hitting 'A' on your keyboard.

That's a custom folder I set up to locate all my samples in one simple click!

Double click on a MIDI clip, or click the midi clip and then use the tab down the bottom to swap between views.
