Sonic Mania - Location of 32 Giant Rings across all 12 Zones!

- After a few requests, I made a video that highlights the locations of 32 of the Giant/Special Rings spread out across the 12 zones in Sonic Mania. There are a few I am still missing but these are ones that I have found via my playthroughs and submission of friends and fans. Will add more as I come across them but I hope you enjoy.
2 of the rings in this video are exclusive to Knuckles only in Mirage Saloon.

Considering how most of these can only be found if you take specific pathways, cutting to where you're close to the ring isn't as helpful as it could have been.
Take the low path in Chemical Plant Act 1.
When you enter the glass pipe that takes you one of the *new* pipe intersections, take the left pipe.
Follow the loop-de-loops underwater (past a water bubble shield and rings) and it will shoot you through the bottom of what looks like one of the dreaded underwater moving platform shafts of doom.
If you continue to go right at the bottom of the shaft, you will find a giant ring.

Infinite Entertainment & Gaming There's also a ring in Flying Battery 1, though I could swear I found twin my Tails playthrough.
Unfortunately I can't quite remember the details of their locations without playing through the level.

This video doesn't help at all since you cut the whole path to the giant ring! What's the point of this?!

There's one near the beginning of Press Garden Zone Act 1. When you first encounter the long silver tube thing that you can run around, drop down underneath it and go left. Use the conveyor belts to launch yourself into the secret passage in the wall to find the giant ring.

By the way: In green hill act 1 go to the lower section as soon as the game lets you and backtrack to the spikes at the start of it. Jump on the spikes then use your invincibility frames to jump over the barrier to your left, and land on the very small patch of land to the left of all the spikes. Walk off to the left and immediately hold right (Make sure you just walk off, dont jump) You should be glitched in the ground. Now if you hold left you will fall into knuckles' section, so if you keep going left you can get to his giant ring.

Alex Wolfe mirage saloon act 2 is actually mirage saloon act 1 ( knuckles )
My favourite is the ring at the start of Press Garden Act 1. Once you get to the first rotating tube, drop off it and head to the left and you can bounce up to the room with a newspaper roll. Really convenient, you can get to it in under 30 seconds.
You did miss a few but you probably already know that, you also taught me where a few were so thanks.
There's another one in chemical plant 1. At the start of the stage go on the first blue bath to the down path. When your in the pipe machine, choose to go left. And when you show up the passage with the moving blocks, go to the right, the wall isn't solid. You'll find a special ring

Ok maybe you guys don't get that 32 rings is enough. Sure he missed a few but 32 is enough to get you all 7 emeralds. But good stuff man you helped a lot
I found the ring in Flying Battery act 1. After the second time you go down through a hole made by the parachuting bombs, go into the chain spiral and fall down the pit where the spinning circles are. Head left, you should be under the electric plates. There is an opening in the wall. Go left and watch out for the speed boost pad. Jump over it to find the ring

I really needed this, I keep falling off on number 7... need extra giant rings.
Fun fact: This game is so well made that you can glitch your way into Knucles version of Green Hill Zone and get a ring there.

This video is of great help, but could I ask where you got the fire shield at 7:56? The only shield I could find is the one in the very beginning of the stage. You don't have to carry that one shield through the entire level, do you?
no there is one you can find not too far away, there are only two in the stage.
I don't know where the rings are because you keep on skipping through the video.

Man the 5th Emerald has given me so much grief! I can't do it haha!
ZacLink7 It's actually not that hard. At the beginning, focus on rings, while also getting some blue orbs on your way (half or more of mach 1 should do it.) then, focus on orbs and make some corner light jumps as shortcuts. Keep running, don't get hit, and boom! You got the emerald.
Yeah, I've done it now but as Knuckles of all characters ahaha thanks for the tips though!

I must've tried to get the 4th emerald at least a dozen times now with no success. At this point I given up.

There will be two spikes you will be able to push push em find the ring in flying battery act 1
rocky the hedgehog hmm I didn't know about that one but there's also one near the boss. When your running in one of those big pipes, stop running and you'll fall down in a room. Run towards the left and there's a wall with a big ring in it.
There's other rings in green hill I discover but that's a cool video !

A very good one not shown in the video: Press Garden Act 1, once you get to the first cylinder (that huge thing from Sonic 3's Launch Base Zone), let it drop you to the lower path and head to your left. Yeah, it's well hidden IN THE BEGINNING OF THE STAGE!!
In oil ocean act 2, there's a ring under the 1st or 2nd checkpoint (whichever one is over a pool of oil with a fire shield). Sink down into the oil and you'll land onto the ring.
There's one in Knuckle's section of GHZ1, and one in the top path of GHZ2 above a pool of water.
There''s also one in CPZ2 where you go up a narrow shaft with two of those moving block staircases

There are, these are only ones I found after playing the game for a day and a half. I am going to make a follow up if no one else does it first after I finish my review for the game and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2.
Thanks! Why are people complaining about the cut through? It's obvious where it is when you run into the area on the act. Maybe he should hold your hand too.

There is one in studiopolis where you have to jump on a series of headlamps
This kinda helped, you just didnt show the entire path to the ring from the start of the level or from when you exit the ring

I found a giant ring or two in Flying Battery Zone Act 1, not that it would matter to you.
The first one on Flying Battery act 2 is ridiculously hidden.

Darkshadow2002 there are quite a few rings in the game, I only recorded the ones I found in my first day or so of playing the game
Infinite Entertainment & Gaming i understand completely the levels are completely massive and sometimes it's impossible to back track once you past a certain location
I cant wait until someone maps out these levels so we can see the true size and location of everything and all the hidden extras and pathways

Are there any in Titanic Monarch act 2? The two shown in the video are only act one right?
Haven't found any in Act 2, I think that doesn't have any from what I've found.
There is one in Act 2. When the path splits into four, take the lower right path. When you're using the triangles to bounce up, go up and all the way to the left. The triangles there break when used, opening the path to a giant ring. It's the only one I know of.
I fucking hate the fourth one. I can not beat that one

dude just a fun fact if your going to show a video like this on how the find these things, maybe oh.....give us a time crad for this stuff or maybe go into detail on how to then just cutting to the ring part..cause not all of us can find them like that dude. plus show how much you really care. Also that this pretty much tells me you didnt give a heck about showing people all together dude...

What happens if I end up beating the game with out all emralds? Do I have to restart?
If it's like S3&K, no, you just have to go back and replay stages until you find all the emeralds, then you can just go back and beat the game again.

once you get the 7 chaos emeralds you get Super, after that you get 50 rings from each giant ring.

Yeah there's at least 2 for every act of every stage. (This means there is a minimum of 48) some have 3 though, so I think the actual number is close to 60.
