A real pro still uses masking tape just in case and so you don't have to worry about anything.. and looks better because you van get closer with the roller
@@MsFroggiie Nup,it took me about three years to learn cutting in,first with my right hand and then with my left. After 25 years as a self employed painter and dozens of more than happy clients, I don't need to advertise and 90% of my work comes from repeat clients and referrals. I'm no slapper, I just know the skill of cutting and don't need to waste time and money on tape.
@@Kwanglebeh my dad's been a painter all his life he started at like 12 or 14 and he still uses tape because it gives the room a sharp finish Repect to you if your able to do it without tape and clean but if you do it with tape it's essentialy risk free of messing it up Plus you don't get the satisfying peel at the end haha
Please learn to cut in your angles ... you're spending way too much money on masking tape when you really don't need to. Also, little tip, yeah I know it's ceiling, wood then walls, but I actually find it to be quicker to end with the wood, cutting in is easier as most of the time you are already using a brush and not a roll. Furthermore, doing the wood last means you don't need to cut in all the walls before painting them (leaving a trace because you're painting over paint that's already started drying when you get to rolling your walls. All you need extra is an angle roller, and then you just cut in the ceiling line. (And I am a professional painter, for anyone wondering)
Yeah he’s making it hard on himself lol just wizz around the ceiling roll the ceiling finished ceiling then roll all the walls first coat wait for ceiling line to dry then cut in ceiling line to finish first coat then go wall by wall cut in and roll finish second coat then last do trim and at the end touch ups easy peezy
Cut in a ceiling with a 2 inch brush???? A real pro painter knows how to accurately cut in and doesn't need all the masking tape.

Yes it is mandatory
How long did this all take?
How long did this job take in total?
Bro you don’t have to tape EVERYTHING. Trust yourself, you’re never going to get better at cutting in otherwise. Plus. You’ll save so much more time!
What time is the medium salary for a painter?
He wouldn't know he's not a painter and decorator. He's a chancer
