@@AmineSamus I get were your coming from but XLC's visual look clean and more polished compared to the GameCube collection imo. Just look at the comparison between X4 on XLC and GameCube.
Heh, you missed a few minor differences between this version and the newer collection. In THIS collection X randomly said damn after Vile left...I think they were going to at one point in time revise the entire script but can it because of the remake of X. Also, I think X6 also had its original song while they lost the original song in the newer collection, and had much inferior songs in X6. Also, I think the first collection took out all the voice acting in 6, but the newer one brought the voice acting back. Well...does not change much but still lol.
Man, the X Collection. It was thanks to this that I finally got a chance to play X3 and X5 for myself. I'll admit, the Battle and Chase version we got through it was a bit gutted, as there was supposed to be ongoing race commentary, and each character's ending was supposed to have art alongside its text.
The best way to describe this collection is technically better, but practically not. If you want the most ideal way to play X1-6 then this is it but for most people it’s definitely easier to get the XLCs as they’re on modern platforms and are still entirely playable versions
So is this one still a good choice? I've been playing the legacy collection on ps4 and I feel that even the difficulties have been changed, at least at the end of x5 and x6. I remember playing those 2 on the ps1 when they came out and they didn't feel near impossible to beat. I finished x5 on ps1 and made it to High Max in x6 (ps1 as well). I remember some of the levels feeling easier on the ps1, while on the legacy collection those same levels feel much difficult than the original games
I remember having the bootleg disc, X1 wont run after 3 play, x2 same, X3 and X4 sometimes wont run but sometimes the game is running , X5 just just showed the glitchy capcom intro and the game wont run after that and X6 wont run at all
I love, and far prefer the original x collection. It even has the megaman mario kart knock off. Also it connected to the megaman classic collection and let me use updated music for classic games.
This is my first megaman game and when I choose a game I wanna play on the legacy collection the game plays by itself and I don't play and can't move my characte, I play on ps4
I think I'll need to find a copy of this or emulate out of sheer curiosity. Sad thing is, I saw about five copies of this at my local Wal-Mart at one point but I didn't have a GameCube until two years later (2008ish). I still have next to no GC games and this could have kicked off my collection at a mere $30! But no, instead I chose to get Dark Sector on 360 that was sitting on that same shelf, and then didn't come close to completing that glorious masterpiece until I bought the PC version (But hey, Dark Sector left quite an impression, I just drowned in content at the time because this was when I started building my physical collection of PS2 and 360 games.). Ah, what life could have been...

@@skibot9974 Oh, thanks!
This was the first time I got to play X3 and I'll always love this game for that. I played the crap out of this collection on PS2
This is to anyone’s listening.
I’ve got myself a component cable so my ps2 can run 480p and every game (including MM Anniversary Collection) looks much better, but when I use it on MMX Collection, I noticed that the screen “shakes/vibrates” up and down. It’s like it was always was there, but I didn’t notice it until I got a clearer vision on the screen. I then thought every copy was like that until I saw J’s footage looks just fine with a component cable, so gan anyone help me? All my other games looks just fine, so is it *my* copy of the game?
You totally recorded this like forever ago didn't you????? Why did I think of megaman and you post this ten minutes later?
Just a heads up, if you're getting this collection, keep in mind that this was ONLY released in North America. Japan and Europe didn't get this. So make sure you have an American PS2 or GC when getting these.
Funny story, I accidentally got this original MMX collection sent to me instead. I was intending to get MMX: Command Mission.
Probably a lucky accident.
are you reviewing xdive
Short answer: yes
Long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss
The X collection is a better collection than the XLC's imo, yes even the Gamecube version
not the GameCube one tho
@@justfloofy4639 i own the gamecube one. It runs fine and better than the XLC ones.
Graphically it's inferior but that's kind of expected.
@@AmineSamus I get were your coming from but XLC's visual look clean and more polished compared to the GameCube collection imo. Just look at the comparison between X4 on XLC and GameCube.
I love the MMX Collection on the GameCube.
Can you do a spectacular Spiderman review soon I want to know your opinion?
so control wise wouldn't it be better if you used the hori gamecube controller?
Man, the X Collection. It was thanks to this that I finally got a chance to play X3 and X5 for myself.
I'll admit, the Battle and Chase version we got through it was a bit gutted, as there was supposed to be ongoing race commentary, and each character's ending was supposed to have art alongside its text.
I remember renting this in like 2006 from blockbuster and I found it on GameCube in like 2015-16. Glad I snagged it?
Are you gonna be covering the Mega Man Battle Network and Starforce games at all?
When will you do Classic games ?
The best way to describe this collection is technically better, but practically not. If you want the most ideal way to play X1-6 then this is it but for most people it’s definitely easier to get the XLCs as they’re on modern platforms and are still entirely playable versions
This was the way I played X2-5 (didn't bother booting up 6 lol) because I was able to find a copy for 10 dollars and hey, thats a pretty good deal.
That's just you. They didn't change anything.
I remember having the bootleg disc, X1 wont run after 3 play, x2 same, X3 and X4 sometimes wont run but sometimes the game is running , X5 just just showed the glitchy capcom intro and the game wont run after that and X6 wont run at all
This game is my childhood
Just a question
Have you tried the Tweaked X6 Rom Hack?
Didn't they make a mega man X collection gamecube controller?
Wow. We arrived at that conclusion for VASTLY different reasons. O_O
Still hoping for another marathon race, love both of the ones you did. Just maybe stop at 4 or 5...
Idk. For me, I have no reason to go back to the old collection now that we have 2 collections with every game in it.
DUFF MCWHALEN
Megaman X3 ps1 soundtracks.
I love, and far prefer the original x collection. It even has the megaman mario kart knock off.
Also it connected to the megaman classic collection and let me use updated music for classic games.
I can't wait for the battle network collection for pc. I know I could just emulate them right now and skip the wait but... idk..
As you use alot of music from it in your vids will you ever cover the 8 Ace attorney games 😍
So what should I do to make my Legacy X Collection run, sound, and look the best it can be?
Get it on PC.
Well, there’s mods on PC that add interpolation that fixes the scaling.
I did actually enjoy the "J's Ways of Mega Man X" lolz but I know the youtube way of it was probably not worth it. Maybe livestream?
Absolutely because the Collection has the superior version of X3 which runs the better soundtrack and has animated boss intros.
what is your favorite classic megaman game
X2 is my favorite mega man game; x, my favorite soundtrack in the series🔘
What do you think about megaman legends?
I deleted my initial comment. I thought you were refering to the X legacy collection 1&2.
TL;DR for this video, the answer is a big fat *no*
Gamecube is a no. PS2 is a yes if you can’t run the games optimally on your computer
I have been watching this guys sonic vids a lot I am not even a sonic fan lol.
I feel that this game is actually doing 480i it flickers compared to my emulator running SNES version
js did you know there putting all 5 game boy games on gba called megaman mania but it got canceled
wasn't this version of the games supposed to have a retranslated X6 and be dubbed in english by the cast of X8 and command mission? or am i misremembering.
@@skibot9974
ah yes, the planned psp remake of X6, can't wait for that to come out!................any time now.........yup.
The completion guides were cool tho. At least finish the SNES games just for completion's sake. They're really nice and ur good at explaining stuff. Please consider it. 🦊
My most favorite x games are 4 and 5
