I am doing my PhD in cannabinoid pharmacology and I had to present a review of the current and historical cannabinoid synthesis procedures and this video gave me a lot of peace of mind on how to start the review, thank you very much
You're gonna start it with a picture of snoop dog ? 😂
Skip to 15:10 to hear the " how to get high on liverwort Moss,"
Ta
Hey what do you get reacting Bromopropiophenone with Benzyl Ethanolamine?
hehe just what i came here for. lol alt scratch that, no psychosis so prob a waste of time. stick to herbs. thc gets my mind wrecked. just the way nature intended! shrooms too! hehe at my death i reckon imma be higher than pluto!
Ty
ye lol
somebody get this guy a functioning microphone
Fix your audio. Volume all the way up still kind of quiet. Other than that ive subbed.
I for one loved the biochem parts. While I technically majored in medicinal chemistry most of what I've done academically since then has been on the biochemistry/molecular biology side so I'm a lot more comfy in that realm these days.
It is extremely well prepared and you simplify and explain the syntheses perfectly. Great videos keep up the good work.
this video is all around really informative, great job at explaining all the different scientific disciplines involved!
Thank you so much! Stay tuned for more in the future :)
Your videos truly have re-ignited my interest in synthesis, please keep it up!
Re-ignited😂
Great video, sligthly tainted by the quiet audio volume.
You remind me a lot of Leo who used to do a lot on anabolics and items alike. Excited to finish this video
/sci/ bros unite!

Great work, another amazing video. Keep it up!
Thanks for your support!
you have great videos, rich in information, and sowed together nicely. I could differently see this channel growing a much higher number of subscribers and even more so if videos were released with higher frequency. Hitting that bell notification.
Your videos are truly a joy to watch. Keep it up m8.
Thank you for the kind words!
Nice video, however I would've liked if you also talked about the Shmakozi Theorem in regards to the point you make at 6:37 . Still a very nice video though!
What made you think of the theorem at that time?
Another great video! Hopefully you start uploading again :)
Keep making such great videos man
Love ur work man 😊
Excellent video!
Thanks for information keep going 🤠 greeting from Morocco
good video, A little longer on the mechanisms would be nice. Good job!
i really like the outline at the beggining of the videos
I'm loving your videos, I'm new here on the channel and I'm starting an organic synthesis work and I'm really enjoying it! Could you record videos for beginners in organic synthesis? I would appreciate it too much! Hugs from Brazil!
What do you want to learn specifically? There's a ton of beginner organic chemistry materials out of there - what do you think would be insightful / could be done better?
Super interesting. I'm baked while watching this 😂 love you video.
Very cool!
I have always wondered about moss.
Thank You!
Nice video!!
Thanks!
I can see the behavioral necessity of a body activity/inactivity+eating cycle in animals, and your video explains the mechanism nicely. But what I'm missing is the mechanism of the psychoactivity of THC vs CBD. Many alkaloids affect the nervous system because plants need protection from being eaten by insects. Perhaps this is the case with THC too, what is known about its effects on insects?
Man I am thankful that I found your threat on /sci/, because you channel seems to be pretty good, keep the work up. But may I ask one question? I am total beginner in molecular biology/biochemistry, where should I start gathering knwoledge. Any books you could recommend?
Most of what I know comes from uni; we used "Biochemistry" from Stryer and "Molecular Biology of the Cell" by Alberts. You can probably find both of these online somewhere *cough cough* gen.lib.rus.ec/. They are pretty academic though and get advanced, I guess is good stuff on the basics on UA-cam or Khan Academy or something like that.
@@totalsynthesis sorry for the late responds, but school is killing me with work. Anyways thanks for the reply, I am looking forward to actually understanding your stuff.
I got moss and quite right!
Alex shulgin mentions mixing lichen with lemon peel, i wonder if hes refering to this?
Another excellent video, only two things I would improve on would be the microphone quality and (I would say better visuals but I know that takes a ton of work and is usually available to big channels with more capital!)
Thats awesome
the one question i have is will you pass a thc drug test
Miss your videos!
Is there any genetic sequencing mechanism or how does the relationship between genes work To send instructions for secondary metabolites, is there really a sequencing oooh letters that indicate to the ribosome which proteins to manufacture in order to manufacture enzymes that manufacture thc or cbd? Is there a genetic route or how is the mechanism by which some genes create the secondary metabolites and the specific vesicles of the plant?
I was just thinking whether we can make any other chemicals or reactions from thc
So are we being hustled and should we just smoke moss liver wart whatever weed is a trap and thc vapes are better
How i buy this moss online?
Fascinating research!😗
So....... Did you try this for yourself😱👍✌😉???
Amazing, there is nothing more beautiful than nature and all the living beings whether plants fungi or animals or sea or anykind! Im sad to know that i will not live long enough into the future where humans will keep discovering amazing things.. i just want to be revived one day and learn all the information that was discovered when i was gone..
And to all future generations who will stumble upon this comment when im gone god bless your soul
Good info, but I can barely hear you, bud... try boosting your audio and re-posting!!!
Great videos except for voice/volume fluctuations. It’s odd that your voice sounds so insidious. Find a better filter for audio when recording these.
So at 7:06, the phenol is shown attacking the cyclopropane by what looks like an Sn2 reaction. I'm a little confused about this, as the nucleophile would be attacking a quaternary carbon, which we all learned in undergrad orgo is too hindered for Sn2, especially for a bulky phenol.
Is there something I'm missing or is this unfavorable reaction just driven forward by the combination of lewis acid activation, release of strain, (and I assume) a load of heat and time?
The entire reaction shown is not concerted (happening at the same time) so you can think of Lewis acid-triggered fragmentation occuring first and then the carbocation being developed on the former quaternary carbon gets attacked by the phenol
@@totalsynthesis Ah, makes much more sense, thanks! Great video as well, organic chem and biochem are two great loves of mine, and you make total synthesis very exciting to hear about!
Where do you get it
Has anyone tried smoking it? Where can i get some?
Interesting video but difficult to hear due to very low volume.
Man I really want to listen to this as I work. But even with my headphones on full volume I can't hear a thing.
RIP Im sorry
@@totalsynthesis I'll just have to come back later! lol
Oh god this is the new tide pods
Bro, great video, besides the sound quality. It's terrible. I can barely here you without my projector and amplifier all the way up
More recent videos have a bit better audio - trying to improve! Thanks
Mechoulam is still alive and doing well. As I heard, any Israeli researcher working with cannabinoids should be approved by Mechoulam, otherwise, Israeli police would not allow this researcher to work with them.
Moss and..
Thc is good
how can 10 mg of THC per kilo be a low dose for me that's 1300 mg and i'm telling you'll be flying two days
I agree...it was an informative video with a little humor included, but it sounds like he is speaking into a box with a hole cut in it. He needs a headset or a lapel mike to clear up his speech. Otherwise, interesting! Thanks
Working on it 😂
I believe in full spectrum and not singling out one molecule.
Finna pick moss out my yard 😂
Griffin White yessirrr
Can you buy that moss online ?
Where?
Is it safe?
Griffin White nah 😭
lichen or moss?😎👆
What type of mosses, do you know?
Did you watch the video at all?
Are there other types of moses or just the one*
@@poopdiddyscoop3114 It's Radula mosses. Just to be clear, don't start smoking random mosses please
did you just say “lowers risk of overdose” youd have to smoke an amount significantly higher than your own body weight in a short amount of time to od, which is physically impossible. your lungs would implode before you even got close.
*_furiously starts consuming moss straight from the forest floor_*
😂😂😂
Smoke Moss everyday ! ! !
This explanation is deceiving about the number of compounds that are described as CBD and THC. There are hundreds of molecules described by these abriviations. People are confused by this. If you develop a tolerance to one kind of Marijuana, you can switch to a different strain, and it will have a lower tolerance to it.
Isn’t there a science to recreation?
And
You need a new mic
Possible proof that smoking weed can make you deaf?
They don’t call weed “loud pack” for nothing.
I’m still deaf. Perhaps ears would get damaged from being smoked?
9:21 9:26 9:32
This argument is useless in my case, Its legal here for recreation, Ill just go buy weed at the weed store.
This is the plant or not m.alibaba.com/amp/product/62429729502.html
You need a better Mic.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Based and redpilled
Moss??? Really can a man get high;???
Less complex please, i hope to change my mind later.
send p.o. box and ill send you a actuall mic
