They always a good team they get a lot of division 1 transfers from powerhouse schools that don’t get playing time over there come to Jacksonville state
Jacksonville State should have won the game that day. Here are the 3 plays that cost the Gamecocks the game. Play 1: At the 4:39 mark, you can clearly see the left tackle for Auburn grab the defensive end jersey for Jacksonville State IN FRONT OF THE OFFICAL and holding was not called. The result of that play was a touchdown for Auburn. Plays 2 & 3 are self-inflicted but still made a BIG difference. Play 2: The shank punt late in the game for Jacksonville State that went 17 yards to set Auburn up 1st & 10 at the JSU 31. Auburn would go on to tie the game with 39 seconds left in the game to set up overtime. Play 3: Its 3rd & goal in overtime for JSU at the Auburn 5. The quarterback takes the snap and roll outside the pocket; he doesn't have anybody open. Instead of throwing the ball away to set a manageable 4th & goal at the Auburn 5; he eats the ball, takes a 16 YARD SACK and set up a damn near impossible 4th & goal from the Auburn 21. The end result is Auburn holding on to beat Jacksonville State. Had one if not all those plays went Jacksonville State's way, WHO KNOWS??????????
You can’t say that j-state should’ve won, but then back up your reasoning with self inflicted plays. Also that was holding. But you have to realize that j-state got away with some calls too.
Them SEC refs saved Auburn with that holding that was never called. JSU won that game, and a game like that is exactly why Auburn's big brother is so scared to play us.
Perro V im trying to imagine what all the auburn football facebook pages would've been like if theu had lost and what they were like during and after that game
While this game was going on i was at then known as Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium as we were watching a upset of our own as Houston upset us... During the game i noticed on the bored it showed all the scores... And this was a eyebrow raiser for sure
I remember the game where they played Alabama, and the defense wasn’t pretty good that match, despite holding the tide to 5 field goals, so I see where you guys are coming from. I also remember how shit Johnson was that game. Had the most luckiest touchdown to Smith, but other than that, pure shit
JaxSt was an alright team, they went to the DII NC that year and had two killer receivers that game. I never realized how early in the season this game was. Lack of chemistry early on is killer, hence Auburn losing to Clemson whenever they play early in the season. Thank god we got the W though. Can't say the same for Alabama vs ULM, LSU vs Troy or UF vs GASO lmaoo
Marquis Riggins thats why the FBS teams can't underestimate certain D2 teams. James madison, North Dakota st, and J'ville st have been good enough to takes these big name D1 schools for the past few years.
I have never been so conflicted watching a football game. I grew up a diehard Auburn fan but was attending JSU at the time. JSU was stacked that year. We went all the way to the FCS Champion game but lost to NDSU and Carson Wentz.
I worked on the staff as a student assistant for Jacksonville State that year. We most definitely did not win the natty that year. We played in it but North Dakota State won it.
Now we gotta play them, but we’re even worse than Auburn was. Let’s see what happens lol. I’m not too confident because of how we have played, but regardless Go NOLES!!
AU got more flack for this than they deserved. They deserved to lose tho, no doubt. But come on. They had LSU on thier minds, and werent gonna give two consecutive shits about this game against an in-state fcs team lol. No way. But this is what happens when the perfect storm of both underestimating your opponent, overestimating yourself, AND not enough preparation happens. This team NEVER had the look of a top-50 team that year. I was there this game. I saw fcs caliber recievers doing basically whatever they wanted against supposedly d1 caliber, SEC cornerbacks. ALL....DAY......LONG.
I’m not against J state by any means but even if he had caught that ball. It would have been illegal Touching cause he did step out of bounds to then come back in to attempt a catch. Still wish y’all woulda won. That would have put y’all back on the map
Yeah Auburn sucked that year and still sucks for that. JSU beat them in EVERY CATEGORY except the score. And the fact that the ref would not review that last play is dumb and completely bias. That was a touchdown and honestly with how Auburn’s defense played that day JSU would’ve won that game with a 2 point conversion.
Crazy how the winner between Auburn and LSU is always the home team. Auburn could lose to a FCS school and would still beat LSU at home and the same goes to LSU
@@TnD_BigJax i know they're going to lose but I'm just thankful for how good their season went so far. Hell I didn't expect them to only have 1 loss so far.
What will Auburn’s record be this year?
Pro Sports Central undefeated
Pro Sports Central 11-1 only lost to bama
They have a super tough schedule playing Alabama and Georgia on the road so I’ll say 10-3 or 9-4
Liam Mcelroy who’s the other two losses
Pro Sports Central 11-1 or 10-2
Bruh those J'Ville St. receivers tho...
JSU did pretty good that year. They went all the way to the FCS National Championship.
They always a good team they get a lot of division 1 transfers from powerhouse schools that don’t get playing time over there come to Jacksonville state
@@BuckTide-wx2he like Roc Thomas from Auburn
They’re definitely a good team but Auburn had no business in overtime with them
I'm certain Auburn would have lost this game if Jacksonville State special teams didn't cost themselves! 2 missed field goals and a shanked punt
jpinon403 JSU should’ve won
jpinon403 also holding on auburn o-line big time on 1st touchdown pass. That possibly be -4 or -7 points.
..but they did and that's why they play the game. What a horrible job from every player and coach that wore orange and blue.
jpinon403 if we had made those field goals the final score would’ve been 26-20 JSU with no overtime.
JSU has been notorious for trying too hard to be like Alabama. They succeeded this game.

Had one if not all those plays went Jacksonville State's way,
WHO KNOWS??????????
Play no. 1 was the biggest. Holding big time and that was the difference
That was definitely a hold. I was wondering if anyone else noticed it,.......but the blind ref didn't.
You can’t say that j-state should’ve won, but then back up your reasoning with self inflicted plays. Also that was holding. But you have to realize that j-state got away with some calls too.
Was there for this game as a marching southerner and left that day feeling like a champ best game Ive ever witnessed
After this game I knew that Auburn was gonna have a tough season
And the very next game we got blown out by LSU
Some of those Jax State players: "Hey ... I applied to Auburn. They said I wasn't good enough. Hold my beer."
Well, Auburn has invited Jax State back. Rematch scheduled for September 26, 2026.
As an Auburn fan, this is the worst game I've seen from them. Loses were more enjoyable than this game.
The 2020 iron bowl was more enjoyable than this game because at-least we played a good team
I think the New Mexico State game has you thinking differently now.
Do the McNeese State vs Nebraska game where McNesse took the Cornhuskers to the last 30 seconds
4:39 one of the worst no-call holds you'll ever see at this level. Should've been a TD called back.
It's because Auburn plays a mickey mouse hide the ball offense, and has to cheat to win
@Bradley Mitchell Yall almost got beat by JSU, you got nothing to brag about kid lol
Left Tackle
Saw it
@Brandon Mitchell congrats, you beat a no-name school.
Cocks got away with one at 5:44 as well
Them SEC refs saved Auburn with that holding that was never called.
JSU won that game, and a game like that is exactly why Auburn's big brother is so scared to play us.
Reminds me of us and UGA, took them to overtime, never played them again lol.
Auburn won this game but plummeted in the polls from #6 to #18 as if they had lost. Now if they actually HAD lost....
Perro V im trying to imagine what all the auburn football facebook pages would've been like if theu had lost and what they were like during and after that game
@@daleharker5085 they would've been invaded by Bama fans calling them trash, Ole Miss fans saying join the club, and JSU fans saying WE WANT BAMA!!!
Logan Fraser and a random Rutgers fan
Rutgers has fans?
They had no business at #6 anyway.
4:39 touchdown should have been called back, number 44 got held, I don’t how they didn’t call that
While this game was going on i was at then known as Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium as we were watching a upset of our own as Houston upset us... During the game i noticed on the bored it showed all the scores... And this was a eyebrow raiser for sure
Especially since this was the week AFTER Auburn beat Louisville
I mean, that was a good Houston team that only lost to UConn and made a NY6 bowl and beat my Noles, and that was a 10 win FSU team.
This game made me hate auburn I laughed so hard
Just when I thought I had forgotten this...
Who is here after last night's game? I think schools are going to stop scheduling Jacksonville State.
Auburn got away with preposterous holding on one of their TDs and should've lost the game.
How the hell was that not a hold at 4:40?
I got a feeling Auburn will be looking like this for many more yrs.
This was the game where I realized Gus Malzahn wasn’t the answer for us at Auburn.
MY GOD we were awful in 2015!
I seen a huge hold on auburn 1st touchdown that wasnt called. Grabbed jersey and about completely pulled him down
If Jermey Johnson was at least half decent, Auburn could’ve have a good season
TheSportsGamer The defense really struggled at times though, nothing like the next year or even last year
TheSportsGamer yeah, our run defense was pretty bad in 2015 we gave up like 250+ Yards on the ground like 3 or 4 times

kentavious Caldwell pope h please don't I've repressed that from my memory i dont want to re live that game :(

4:38 this is the most blatant holding call I’ve ever seen how was this not flagged

JD Cuttin' Up NDSU is on like a 3 game win streak vs D1
Marquis Riggins but JaxSt is D1? Are you high lol
Joshua Brixius The point here is, you shouldn't sleep on them. A top D2 team is equivalent to a mid tier D1 team
I have never been so conflicted watching a football game. I grew up a diehard Auburn fan but was attending JSU at the time. JSU was stacked that year. We went all the way to the FCS Champion game but lost to NDSU and Carson Wentz.

This team that Auburn almost lost end up winning there national championship by more than 20 points

All these week 1 2 and 3 games im waiting for clemson or bama to lose to mercer or western carolina lol😂😂😂

It's quite funny because Jacksonville St. upset Florida St. last year🏈🏈🏈
Schedule a cupcake, show up unprepared, nearly lose. Stop scheduling cupcakes and think you are all that when you win 60-7.

Logan 06 :(
Jeremy Johnson sucked. Main reason Auburn underachieved in 2015.
Chris Maxwell run defense was pretty bad as well

Pro Sports Central no please don’t 😂
You know how much money we paid J’ville to almost lose by them in overtime…smdh
FSU just lost to JSU lol
Leave it up to my Auburn Tigers to win a game and drop 12 spots in the rankings 😂
They could have won if they hadnt decided to take a knee to go into overtime
and missed those 1st half field goals
We shoulda won
people act like jsu didn’t go to the national championship the year before against carson wentz 😂
It wasn’t the year before. It was that season.
Auburn is OBSESSED with being overrated
