    Just purchased the exact same 2019 RTL-T model with 35,200 miles on it. So far a great truck! So comfortable to drive. Love all of the luxury car features. Great in-depth review - easier than reading the manual. 😆

    I just got the upgraded E version loaded up. So far I love it. I replaced my 2011 Tundra as I was not needing that much towing power. This is an underrated very practical truck. It rides like a luxury SUV, has massive storage inside and out in the bed and is stout enough for light off roading. Also the AWD is a torque vectoring system that makes the truck handle incredibly well in dry or wet. Fantastic in snow. The only reason you don't see more of these is because the manly men out there think they need a full-size truck or a Chevy or Ford. If that's not you and you want an open bed to haul and a 5000 lb towing capacity then take a look at this vehicle. Also gets 20-26 MPG on regular with a bullet proof proven engine.

    Those rear doors can be hacked to open 5" more by replacing the rear door checkers with front door checkers. It's a half to 1 hour job and costs less than $30.

      I did it immediately using the ones that I had previously installed on my 2017 AWD RTL-L before I traded it. Makes all the difference in the world loading and unloading. Now standard on the 2020. The 2019 RTL-T was a pleasant surprise over the 2017 RTL-L with little things like the big MFD, conversation mirror, rear USB ports, moonroof... Many items previously only available on the E and Black trims.

      Exactly! People hate on this truck cause "it's not a real truck", but yet the same people who complain about the Ridgeline either 1) don't own a truck or 2) don't even use their truck to its full advantage.

    • @Iegend17
      @Iegend17 5 років тому +2

      Baasil F. I agree. Honda needs to do a better job next time they change it. It should be more aggressive/manly. And it should act like a real truck. And the interior needs to be updated already looks outdated in my opinion. And it needs to be raised cuz I have seen a lot of videos and its really bad off roading. My dad used to own a 2007 RTL and omg I used to love driving it.

    Nice that it has that extra storage under the bed and a flat floor but those bed sides are kinda low and I’d be hesitant to load in a pallet of bricks or heavy steel and iron scrap, but I’m sure there’s people out there that just want the look of a truck minus full work truck capability. Great video review!

    • @squidusn71

      Lol, there are a lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot less truck owners that would load a pallet of bricks and scrap of metal than the ones that doesnt even use their trucks doing truck things.

    You totally missed the 110v plug in in that "storage area" on the right rear inside of bed. Great feature that will not allow the battery to die if you are using while truck is off and will boost the output automatically if you are using while engine is running. EDIT: mine is an RTL-E so the T that you are reviewing may not have that 110v outlet in the bed.

      Also, in my Ridgeline the rear camera DOES compensate for the offset nature of its mounting and does show the hitch exactly in the center of the screen and makes it a breeze to back up under a trailer tongue.

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  5 років тому

      This truck didn't have the 110v plug in that compartment. Here is an example of what it looks like when the Ridgeline is equipped with the outlet ua-cam.com/video/KswCcxXNeJM/v-deo.html

    A few changes and this this would sell better.
    1. Bring back volume and tune knobs
    2. Make rear doors more accessible
    3. Slight refresh to the front end so this this don’t look like the Pilot’s twin

    • @RichardShelton

      I saw a UA-cam video about a fix for the rear doors that looked fairly simple and was pretty cheap. While I wish Honda had done this by themselves, at least it can be remedied. I'm going to wait for a mid-year update (hopefully!) and see if the volume knob re-appears!

    Mike how much longer is this from the Pilot? If it is much longer then the Pilot then Honda could make a Suburban type vehicle with 3 rows of seats. Since there is such an SUV phase going on! Maybe even a larger engine to accommodate the added weight and higher towing capacity! What do you think?

    tengo una honda rigeline, año 2018, es suave, veloz, estable excelente para viajar por carreteras de asfalto, pero la suspensión delantera es lo mas ordinario que conozco, en 2 años ya voy cambiando 2 veces suspensión y bandeja y todas las personas que conozco que tienen el mismo modelo ya han cambiado hasta 4 veces al año la suspensión delantera y por lo que tengo entendido el fabricante no tiene solución hasta la fecha , realmente estoy arrepentido de haberme comprado este modelo ... me costo 57.500 dolares al contado, 20.000 dolares mas cara que una toyota hilux, apenas tiene 40.000 km de recorrido ... y me toca cambiar por 3ra vez la suspension,, ojo,, yo no hago off road .. es puro asfalto

      I call any truck that isn’t being utilized to it’s full potential a waste of money.There are alot of people though,that just want one to drive,because they like trucks,and that’s fine.The Ridgeline is unique to the midsize truck segment being a unibody vehicle.Honda has created a niche market with this “truck” which it stands alone in.Apparently,it answers the needs of people that need a truck,but don’t really want one,if that makes any sense.In any case,they’re selling fairly well,and the resale value for it is among the best of any vehicle produced according to TFL.If you’re not going to tow heavy,stump jump,or rock climb,this vehicle will do just about everything else.
