The Chinese and Malay has been in the Philippines for centuries before Imperial Spain Colonized the Philippines, Spain Brutalized, ruin the Filipino Culture, language and Race, some of our heroes has Chinese and Malay ancestry, do your homework Jared.! The Americans has also has part of the colonization and the Japanese has a brief influence during World War 2..
Americans wanted to take over the Philippines in order to prop up the central banking system that would eventually debase the purchasing power of the Peso, which is why there's no longer any gold or silver in the coins; less copper and more steel, because of cheaper metals. The Philippines used to be a very properous nation, with Manila being nicknamed "Pearl of the Orient". Now it's a cesspool city with the rest of the nation in poverty. You can thank the Americans for starting the downfall of the Philippines. Filipinos will say the Americans saved them from the Japanese, but the long term truth is that the propped up central bank financially enslaved the country.
Manila has pockets of prosperity and is a microcosm of the rest of the country. It is a cesspool because of poor city planning and squatters. The Philippines used to be heavily indebted and is currently experiencing more than decade of economic growth. Overpopulation and it's ancillary issues are a concern. I think the government should do more to accelerate economic diversification.
Japan did not colonize Philippines! it occupied it during WW2! for three years! that is not colonization! when the British sacked minila in 17th hundreds they stayed for two years! but you dont see filipinos talking about how the Britain colonized Philippines.. a lot of historical experts aren't really experts in history..
Tama! Ang dahilan? simple lang, dahil nangyari yon *during the war* at hindi *before* or *after the war* .

Nice but bitin parang naputol nalang bigla.
I don’t like what Spain did through the Philippines. So much of our history is gone. We weren’t even able to keep our original Filipino last names.
If I remember correctly, there really wasn't such a thing as a "Filipino last name".
Before the Spaniards came, our ancestors' local culture were mainly based from either Chinese, Indian, Malaysian, etc. depending on your location.
Which culture and religion would you pick?
Me too, i feel you, especially many ugly MINDSET and SYSTEM of the present day Philippines and Filipinos are inherited from the influence of the Spanish colonization(like Maniana habit, Filipino time, Government bureaucracy/PALAKASAN in the present day Philippine politics and government, Roman Catholic theocracy, Nepotism and Cronyism among family and friends etc.)✌✌✌
habla yo spaniol pero un poco.
We were colonized by Spain for 377 years.
its 333 years sir/ma’am, the Spaniards colonized us in 1565 when most was converted to catholics….1565 to 1898 umder the spaniards. then 1762 to 1768 was British (British east indies company) Americans 1898 to 1941 then 1945 to 1946, Japanese 1941 to 1945…..
Colonization began in 1521 until the Spanish-American war in 1898.
@@luzwarfield3593 colonization began in 1565 when they totally took control due to the conversion of the locals to catholic..it all happened when Miguel Lopez De Legazpi conquered and establish its capital in Manila...

Be carefull bro , that guys is fake news 😢
Bitin...you just started featuring Intramuros and then the video ended abruptly.😑
He definitely needs an outro. Perhaps a sign off too. “Until next time, one love.”
First 😄
Americans wanted to take over the Philippines in order to prop up the central banking system that would eventually debase the purchasing power of the Peso, which is why there's no longer any gold or silver in the coins; less copper and more steel, because of cheaper metals.
Japan did not colonize Philippines! it occupied it during WW2! for three years! that is not colonization! when the British
sacked minila in 17th hundreds they stayed for two years! but you dont see filipinos talking about how the Britain colonized Philippines..
a lot of historical experts aren't really experts in history..
It's because it was too short to describe what they mostly did
Tama!
Ang dahilan? simple lang, dahil nangyari yon *during the war* at hindi *before* or *after the war* .
Alam mo sir Jared. Noli Me Tangere at El Felibusterismo.
Mas nakakakulo ang Japón
