- We've learned a lot with our Solis over many trips and we absolutely love it! We'd love to hear your tips and feedback!
You folks asked about our gear so this is what we've purchased that we would definitely buy again. I left out the gear we didn't like. We may get a commission on these links. We purchased the Winnebago Solis and gear with our own money, we're not sponsored by anyone. Thanks for your support!

UPDATE: DON’T ADD MY BONUS DESIGN. See my follow up video from April 8. The tank still blows out, my design adding more wood just pushed out the front cabinet face so now I’m removing my extra wood support and just doing the brace alone. The tank will still bulge even with the brace but at least it’s hidden…
Original Note:
This one was a relief to get resolved as the tank had been blown out for more than a year. Please subscribe if you find these videos useful and help me get to 1,000 subscribers! Thank you for all your support!
Your improvements are a good upgrade. But their design transfers the pressure of tank expansion onto the flimsy cabinet material. Maybe that's enough, if the bulge is caused by a concentration of force on certain spots in the tank. In that case, maybe the brace works by spreading the force over a wider area, which the cabinet can handle. Still, their design relies on the flimsy cabinet to do structural work that it wasn't designed to do.
Good points, the pressure will all end up on the front cabinet wall, I certainly hope it’s enough.
The V-spine in the tank does provide some support on its own and takes effort to pop back in. My hope and design is to keep that V-spine from popping out in the first place and any remaining pressure is spread out like you say.
The front cabinet wall looks like decent stacked plywood and doesn’t move but I don’t know how it’s structurally anchored.
I’ll certainly follow up if it all busts open!
You were right! The front facade couldn't handle the pressure, I had to post another video so folks don't do what I did... to be continued...
