I love these ornaments and I use burlap as strings to tie my price tags on the things in my shop. They are are a real money saver and have used them since day one. My shop anniversary is on the 26th of October.
HINT...To make this easier I took an empty glue bottle, filled it about 1/3 with glue then poked a hole...a little bigger than the diameter of the string..on each side of the bottle...about 1/2 the way down the bottle where the glue is. Tape the end of string to form a needle...then thread it through the holes. Or make 1 hole and thread the string through then pull out of the top of the bottle. Of course you'll need to remove the top of the glue bottle to do this. As you pull the string you will need to use your fingers to remove excess glue. I just placed a bowl under my hand as I did this to capture the glue. You can just add this glue to the bottle. I used tape to close the holes up for use later. Hope this was helpful 😊. LOVED all your unique creations!!
String the balls together and make garland and even stick white christmas lights in them, maybe 3 or 4 a ball, and make lights/lit up garland! That would make an adorable natural, country, woodsie, log cabin feel christmas tree!
Many years ago I raised a newborn Cockatiel as a pet and she would scoot along her perch to come to me to be fed....So I called her skooterbird and used it as one of my usernames on line and it stayed with me...Scooter was taken so I used Skooter and so I use it today still in her memory....Have a great day
I’m watching this in 2020 (during the end of quarantine) and I have to say that I really loved each of these beautiful projects! They all came out absolutely amazing and I am definitely going to try to recreate them this Christmas with my kids! Thank you for sharing your talents and ideas with us! Take care and stay safe!
These are such creative ideas 😍this year I am setting up a woodland tree and most of my ornaments are made of natural wood, jute, buri and burlap these are great ornaments to add to my tree with my buri animals ornaments ❤️
Hi Mandy, what a great video, I love burlap and rustic ornaments and will make all of these. I've made candy canes with jute twine, tedious but very nice. Thanks for sharing your talent and creativity and I look forward to more of your videos. All the best, Michelle
I loved these idea especially the icicles. It looks like a magic trick when you wrap floral tape :) Thanks for sharing your art work I can't wait to try all of these
I’m actually editing a new one right now. It has taken a while but I hope to get back into the swing of things very soon! Between work and family, it’s been hard to find the time, plus my laptop brings me to the brink of insanity every time I turn it on! It’s taken longer than I had planned but I hope to have a new one up within the week... Thank you.....♥️
Mandy Thomas - That's all I had to hear...SUBBED!!! I understand life gets in the way, but you really do have a gift with your creativity. I'm so glad you decided to make videos again...can't wait for the notification! Have a fantastic Friday and weekend! ☺️
Very very nice, thanks, I've been trying to make the burlap balls but didn't realise you had to cut the twine into small lengths, duh, tried to go on twisting and the ball of twine went crazy twisting round and round (I'm totally new to mod podge) Just managed a decent-looking ball now I've watched your method.
Love your rustic ornaments ALL of them are beautiful and I am so happy I found your channel. Do you know of any others that are as good as yours with the instructions? Do you have a new channel with new ornaments? LOVE THEM! D
Thank you! I’m not sure about instructional channels other than a few makeup gurus I’m subscribed to.. I’m working on getting a new video up very soon.. It’s about a fall centerpiece but I’m sure I’ll do more with ornaments at some point.. ♥️
Love these, tfs. Even tho it is the middle of July it's never too early for Crafters. Esp since there is some Christmas stuff out now! Ahhhhhhh, I can't stand it! lol
I agree. You just reminded me of a burlap stocking with lace trim that I made a couple of years ago for someone that I loved. Maybe I’ll do a video on one. Thank you!
I can’t remember the exact measurements but I believe the larger petals are about 5”-6” the smallest petals are about 3” and the medium petals are somewhere in the middle. Lol. Thanks for watching! Happy Crafting!❤️
*To make the burlap stiff and to make it stick to different surfaces, I use mod podge. *Are you referring to the white on the poinsettias? If so, I used burlap that had white pinecones printed on it. ❤️
I didn’t have a pattern, I just kinda looked at the petals from a poinsettia that we had sitting on our table and went from there. I’ve been making flowers this way for a long time, changing the shape and quantity of the petals depending on the type of flower I’m going for. Thanks for watching and commenting❤️
Magnifiques vos creations
I enjoyed this tutorial so much. You are an inspiration. I want to do a woodland tree next year, hopefully, and plan to use your designs. So happy.

Wow very nice thanks for sharing this :)
Very neat!
What do you use to put on the burlap to harden it and what do you use to put on the burlap that has white on it
*To make the burlap stiff and to make it stick to different surfaces, I use mod podge.
*Are you referring to the white on the poinsettias? If so, I used burlap that had white pinecones printed on it.
❤️
Hi can you please tell me where you found the pattern for the poinsettia?
I didn’t have a pattern, I just kinda looked at the petals from a poinsettia that we had sitting on our table and went from there. I’ve been making flowers this way for a long time, changing the shape and quantity of the petals depending on the type of flower I’m going for. Thanks for watching and commenting❤️
Can you use Elmers glue instead of Modge Podge?
