this is the only video like this with this problem : one mine is revving up so high its like full throttle i looked at my plastic piece and its lose so it does stretch brand new carb clean muffler clean saw runs great but revs really high its not flooding it will not idle just revs up i bet its sucking in air here and so thanks for the vid i guess the fix is cable ties or a hose clamp

I had a bad experience with a Stihl weed whacker . Bought new and would never start , no one could start it . Threw it aside and bought a Honda . Three years later I decided to get it fixed just to see what was actually wrong with it . $240 later at the Stihl shop and it runs good . $240 to fix a product that has never been started . That put me off Stihl for life .

was having the same problem. I couldnt even shut my saw off. I had to dump out the gas and cover up the air intake. Was like high idle.

Is the carburetor side of the boot flush with the plastic or pulled through?

Um I have about five of the intake and ring and they all fit tight the port on the cylinder will stretch the rubber intake out just enough to make the plastic sleeves tight enough to make it a little hard to take ish over the port and never use a wire come on man you haven’t seen how well a zip tie works as a hose clamp or fan or alternator belt in an emergency you can run for days with a alternator belt made from a bunch of zip ties put together
