I agree, and also if you mod, I would recommend keeping and storing your original oem parts because you will need them later if you change your mind about the mod and want to revert back, or if something goes wrong with your aftermarket parts you have a backup, or if down the line you end up selling the car you can revert back to stock. You're spot on about waiting to mod though. The car will tell you what it wants, but it's not gonna tell you the first day you get it, you have to give it time to tell you. Also, another great way to get to know your car is hand wash and clean it yourself, don't let someone else do it. I also recommend auto-crossing or hpde/track days, there's only so much you can glean from driving on the street.
Excellent takes! I do keep my oem parts as well! Could definitely come in handy down the line! Very true that the car will eventually let you know what it needs!
HI ya Katya - When I received my BRZ tS, I immediately replaced the exhaust with a Corsa Sport and the air intake with a K&N (within 100 miles). I knew before I even bought the car that these were the mods I was going to do. I also added all the 'STI' cosmetic accessories when I ordered the car. I intended to replace the headers but if the headers require a tune, I don't want to invalidate my warranty - so I haven't done that yet. This generation BRZ doesn't need a turbo (IMO). You are giving very good advice to BRZ/86 owners - very nice videos from an unpretentious young lady. Stay safe and healthy!
I purchased a Mazda MX5 mk3.5 for my 18 year old daughter. It had a Cobra sports exhaust on it that l wanted to take off, but my daughter loves it and makes her enjoy her car even more 😊
I think the reason people ask what mods should I do to my car?. They don’t have taste , they are new to that platform maybe or they seek attention from others. Either way definitely do you and be proud .
I won't be doing much to my new car. Am getting an axel back quad exit exhaust to enjoy the sound of the engine a bit more. I knew I wanted that before my car even arrived. Possibly in the future a front strut tower bar. There is nothing much that can be done with my platform anyway, which is fine. Not doing anything else other than cosmetics (tint, emblem overlays, etc.) to make it my own. I love my car. I enjoy your approach, it's measured. responsible, and good sense -- while also being fun. (Those tux mats look really good....am adding those to my list, front mats only -- and yes agree that it is a mod.)
Appreciate the content so much. I have a 2020 WRX FBO e60 blend. I got this car with the intention of doing the work myself. It can be a money pit for sure. Under your modding umbrella you ever think about adding “performance”. For instance AOS or catch cans are mods but don’t add power just more reliability.
Off the top of my head, i just want to increase the comfort in my Daily driving. I have a 95 EX Civic the bois at Donut made a good point, before you go straight into Turbos and Cams and all that race car stuff, upgrade the pieces leading up to that (tires, calipers, injectors etc.) so you dont blow your shit up immediately lol

Thank you, and I appreciate you sharing the mods you did!
I’m loving the brz videos! Keep at it I love to see them! 🔥
Well said! When doing mods it’s your car, it’s your money and it should make YOU happy not someone else 🏎️
Well said, Katya! We are blessed with so much, we just need to get better at appreciating it.
We need to see you drift !
I want to! I’m just waiting for snowy conditions as I have my winter tires on and don’t want to ruin the tread on them!
Agree with you 100% and I love your enthusiasm for the car hobby!
Thank you, Katya!

That’s kind of you to buy her a cool car! Glad she is happy with it!
Perfectly stated it’s your vehicle do what makes you happy not what other people think. 👍🏿👍🏿👌🏿🤘🏿
Great video! You make some great points people should take into consideration when they get excited about modding a car!

Exactly! Doing you is the best way to go about it.

Have you thought about wrapping your car or do you like the white?
I was thinking of painting it actually! I want something a bit more permanent. That is because I’m confident in the colour I want!
