- This is just a short video of my experience SCUBA diving in Greece. It was absolutely magical! It was great being able to dive one-on-one with one of the dive masters from Extreme Divers, and she was a wonderful guide.
There wasn't as much marine life as I expected, but I did get to see my first octopus in the wild! Also, because I just have my basic Open Water certification I could only go down 60 feet, so I didn't make it too far into the hole. Hopefully the next time we visit I'll have my advanced certification and be able to go deeper!

I just came onto your channel because of your reaction to why America sucks at everything. It's quiet on your channel, so I hope you made it to Germany. If so, I hope you're happy. Your pain at watching that was palpable. You deserve so much better.

Ich habe meinen "Open-Water" Tauchschein 1994 in Wien gemacht.
Danach sind wir gleich zum nächstgelegenen Meer, der Adria in Kroatien gereist.
In den 1990er Jahren war dort Kriegsgebiet (Jugoslawienkrieg) und kein Mensch hat sich an Reglementierungen gehalten.
Mein erster Tauchgang war zu einem versunkenen Kriegsschiff aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg in 50 m tiefe.
Das waren noch coole Zeiten!

I got my "open water" diving license in Vienna in 1994.
Afterwards we traveled straight to the nearest sea, the Adriatic Sea in Croatia.
In the 1990s it was a war zone (Yugoslavia war) and no one adhered to the regulations.
My first dive was to a sunken World War I warship at a depth of 50 m.
Those were cool times!

Because you've filmed the little octopus you've blown your chances of telling your friends and family when you get home that you encountered a Jules Verne 20.000 Leagues Under the Sea type of giant squid lol. It looks like seriously great fun.

That looks amazing 😃. I love the little octopus. When I had my SCUBA trail course years ago I had one trying to play with my hand. They are so cute 🥰, I cannot eat them anymore since.

Hi Nate! I'm a diver too. I've never diven in Europe, even though I live here. I'd recommend Indonesia for the wildlife. It'll blow your mind!
Were you using a red filter? I only put the red filter on my GoPro when I'm already deep, to avoid the red images closer to the surface.

No, I had an underwater filter on the GoPro. We didn’t see any of the effects of the fires as we were on the mainland outside of Athens.
