I used to have nightmares about Cretaceous. One scenario was when he was chasing me in my own home, and I resorted to standing on top of a chair to avoid him. I heard his slapping footsteps get closer and closer until I finally jumped myself awake! I never forgot about those dreams, and I never will.
I named my cat Diego after Diego from this movie because he was orange. It was hard watching these movies again because he passed away but now that I watch them it's like he's still here
You know what would've been kinda cool? If these guys came back in Continental Drift by just so happening to survive the climax of the 2nd movie. They could've fitted so well with the theme of travelling the seas. They could've been secondary villains.

@SCP-999 yes it is, there are many species of ichtysaur and one of them looks like cretaceous. And by the way cretaceous isn't a crocodile. You can see that he only has 2 front legs and no more.

In spite of this, the movie's Essential Guide reveals that Cretaceous is an Ichthyosaur and Maelstrom is a Pliosaur. the movie says its those two dinos but they are wrong considering if u ever looked up a real pliosaur and ichthy which looks nothen like those two soo those two are indeed metriorhychus and globidens
