I tried to replicate the method exactly, but after forcing a red Ace into the skin of my palm I ended up in hospital, and am now a burden on the NHS. Michael Vincent you devil you ! :)

If I wanted a video that demonstrated perfectly the idea of making the move look the same when I'm actually doing it and when I'm not, this would be the one. So beautiful, and that move that made sure you were clean at the end was perfectly fooling. So good.

Michael I have some questions and a possible video suggestion idea.
I really enjoyed your videos on basic card handling and I always practice your drills so thank you for that.
I have some questions regarding card preparation and card care and storage.
How do you prepare your hands before handling cards? Do you have a hand care regiment you follow?
How do you store your cards and how long do you keep a deck before tossing it out?
I’m curious because I get these questions often from fellow Magicians too.
I understand these questions may sound odd but on our drive for excellence there should be no stones un turned.
Everyone’s hands are different and some have dry hands and some suffer sweaty, greasy hands. For myself I tend to have the sweaty hand problem.
What works for me is I use Corn Huskers Lotion at night before bed and I use a exfoliating soap before handling cards.
If you have any special tips or general ways of you care of hands and cards I think people would like a video like that as well.
    Love to you my friend
    Rick

Really great advice! I first heard this advice months ago watching Michaels dvds and it really works. What is interesting is because I am restrained to showing magic by camera I have been asked if I’m using camera tricks or special editing LOL.
What a beautiful routine! The Palm work was beautiful and I won’t give away secrets but all I can say is that was damn smooth.

Only 4 aces used. So clean. I wondered if that was self-invented, or someone slyd in...;)
It is such a routine where one could wish to be a child again.
Such a great pleasure to see a humble Vincent in these surroundings and feel what a process his masterpiece has been through. Came Strong across.
Maybe he wakes up again in the middle of the night and has a new idea for it. Personally though, I am not convinced that he can transfer the card under the skin of his hand.
There must be another explanation. He compresses the atoms in the card and expands them again / he hypnotizes me with a secret word, so I do not see the card, when under spell / is it an ability to make things invisible, which is inherited through generations and a secret he has to take with him to the grave / holds his grandmother the card in another dimension when he shows his hand empty. We shall never know.
But my double vision tells me that Vincent's magic hands could do the same with king size cards.
And in that regard, I send my thoughts, with Michael Vincent too, I believe, very highest admiration to the many performers, who was not born with such magical hands but did the imposible anyway.
Like a Paul Daniels, Ricky Jay and countless others, not to mention a Rene' Lavand or Richard Turner with impossible odds for doing the impossible.
Hail to those and everyone who strife in magic and for magic.
Should anyone like to copy "the invisible palm" please make it your own stile and it should be fun to watch a clumsy (drunk?) fellow, not himself understanding what the hell is happening, falling over backwards in surprise himself.
Lesson learned : next time I run my hands over a Queen of hearts l shall remember to use "a little bit of pressure" and watch what happens. ;-)

Ha, thats my approach, almost from the beginning. I lost some fingers and got into card magic as physical therapy. I can't do much of anything the 'right' way, so on pretty much everything, Ive had to just work backwards from an effect with the general methods and develop my own handlings. I went through a brief phase of crushing disappointment and frustration that I simply was physically incapable of doing to cool stuff. But, I refocused on my reason for doing it and adapted. My biggest issue is that I dont have any cover with my left, so I have to get unconventional. Lennart Green's clumsiness is a major inspiration.

    • @PrometheusZer00
      @PrometheusZer00 4 роки тому +1

SPOILERS - When he's taking the aces out, you'll notice that he picks up a second card behind two of the aces - a King that is later the "top card" on the deck, and a five which I don't think gets shown. The rest of the trick is some really expert manipulation of making two cards appear to be one, making the second card "disappear", then making it "reappear" by sliding the second card off the back of an ace that's on the table. Before the reveal at the end, he drops the five behind the table so he can flip over all of the aces cleanly. Even though I know how it's done, I still can't fathom the years of practice and skill-building that went into making this look so clean and effortless. I rewatched this video a lot of times to piece it together.

Question for you Mr. Vincent: I once saw a UA-cam video of you doing magic for friends at McDonalds (I think) or some public place. The trick you did consisted of placing your hand over packets of cards on the table and Aces would "magically" appear face up on top. You'd rub your palms and blow your hands before each reveal. The entire demonstration was only about a minute. Can you please do that trick again?
