This routine was the reason I started it all. My whole life i've dedicated to magic and its craft, and it was watching you perform this on Penn and Teller: Fool Us. I remember emailing you asking where to start, and your reply is the reason I have the friends i have, the career and the memories in my life. Thank you.
If you get any dislikes for this video it's because people are absolutely scared of you. That is other worldly. At this point I don't even practice magic but I am getting inspired by your videos. Generally what I've been doing is playing your videos for my parents who are both in their 70's. I love the reactions, especially my father has when you've performed one of your miracles. Jaw dropping is all I can say.
Marlon Hester hey buddy, I have no time to waste writing about people who are scared of me, that’s their drama. My only concern is for people like YOU♥️. You have a truth to yourself that is why you share my work with people in your world. Why would would you do that? Just amazing. With so much of experience, I am no able to understand this trick, particularly the last part. Hats off Michael Vincent. You are simply great.

First time I saw you was on Penn & Tellers fool us. To this day this particular piece is my favorite. Yes I spotted a couple of moves. Can I do them? No. Is that important? No. Presentation means more than the actual method. You Sir are a true master and are my modern day magical hero. I hope somewhere down the road I get to meet you and see this in person. Thank you
Michael... the thing I love the most is that you put so much time into thinking about what your audience is feeling and seeing (and you have describe my thoughts and feelings perfectly while I watch). I have seen other magicians and it is obvious when you watch someone that is trying to inspire people. That routine was so magical I watched it many times over. Thank you once again friend. Thank you for putting this material together. I really appreciate the peptalk and wisdom not just about magic but also about life. Listening to you inspires me and this reminds me of the years I spent in seminary obtaining a masters degree in theology. There I was inspired and felt a certain glory that can only be felt when you surround yourself with very wise people. I greatly miss that feeling and you are bringing it back for me. Thank you and please keep doing what you’re doing!
The creative process that Michael is talking about here is difficult or most magicians. However, I recommend persevering for two main reasons. 1 The more you do it the easier it gets and the better a magician and entertainer you will become. 2. If you do not do it then the next easy option is to copy other magicians. This is not being creative and will not do ones magic much good.
I had watched thousands of Magicians on Penn & Teller, but when you performed this routine, it was the MOST BEAUTIFUL piece of magic I had ever seen. You're elegant and eloquent in Sleight of Hand and your effects are PERFECT 🥰💞. You do a normal "turn over pass" like MAGIC!!!!! Everything about your act is PERFECT Sir , much Love and RESPECT.
Hello Michael, another great video, thank you and I hope one day you will write all these little tips and words of wisdom into a book, I would definitely buy it! This routine is Legend and I remember reading about it in very early books like The Amateur Magicians Handbook (at 16) and practicing and practicing and doubting it would "work" for a spectator. Of course, as a Legend I had never seen it performed and only had my limited (at the time) vision of the trick. It really has to be good and showcases what your capable of doing. It’s like your saying this is what I do. Funnily enough I was thinking about doing an impromptu version of Christ’s four ace routine with a borrowed deck, and finding the aces in different ways, along the lines of a lost and found patter line. 16:25-17:05 👏🏾👏🏾 Yes. The first card trick that grabbed me like that was Derrick Dingle's version of the ambitious classic. Outstanding commentary and performance. Crazy thing is I know some of the moves u do and still cant see them or any flashes on .25 speed. I don’t know the move where u transfer aces from middle to top and bottom and vice versa. Thats the main move of the trick and I can’t think of how u pull it off. One of the coolest tricks I’ve ever seen, and your routine is mesmerizing and all praises. Thank you
You made my day with this video and performance Michael. Thank you for also giving the challenge and additional idea on filtering through tricks and variations. To think in that context about magic puts a whole new spin on things for sure. Once again I feel inspired!
Excellent video, with an interesting point that some magicians don't do: asking questions! Most just read the effect, practice and start doing it. And there are lots of questions to ask: why I do it like this? Can it be done by another way? How I get into this and how to get out? Is there other versions of this... Etc... Like you said if we ask questions we became unique. Happy Sunday to you and your mother!
True. Paul Daniels said it one of his DVDs is you should always have an out, another card routine, even several that you can easily switch because the one you were doing isn't going the way you wished. As you'll normally always end up performing something to a smart arse at some point, who'll try to ruin the performance.
🥩That final portion is one of my favorite effects of yours, I’ve seen you perform it I think in a bar with friends on video. I’ve been waiting for you to perform it again to assure me that this was indeed no camera trick. Truth be told, I never doubted you in it, and it is 1-DER-FUL! Thanks, Michael.
I know... what we see is the result of decades of practice AND performing in front of an audience. Talent without work is a car with no gas : useless. Talent plus dedication is a great mix. May we enjoy Michael for many years;
Wonderful message and performance! I'm always ready to perform impromptu, working at bars helped me work on that. And to answer your question about the firing squad, I honestly would perform something direct and powerful like Be Honest, Which Is It?, Card to Pocket, Jumping Gemini, or even an ACR

RE: Four cards appearing on four different backed piles. What do you call this? I need to know it. Where can I find it! 🧐
mesmerizing!!!
Insane, how many hours of practice did it take to get so smooth and elegant ? A virtuoso...
Hours? Lol
40 years
I know... what we see is the result of decades of practice AND performing in front of an audience. Talent without work is a car with no gas : useless. Talent plus dedication is a great mix. May we enjoy Michael for many years;
I had to come back. I still don't know how you did this and my mind is still blown. Hahhahaa! And that really is what magic is about.
That was astonishing, you really should do a purchasable download where you teach that routine.
Anthony Archer thanks Anthony. This routine will be taught. It’s part of my big announcement.
Perhaps I missed something - isn't the first part of the routine Dr. Daley's "Cavorting Aces" from _Stars of Magic_?
Wonderful message and performance! I'm always ready to perform impromptu, working at bars helped me work on that. And to answer your question about the firing squad, I honestly would perform something direct and powerful like Be Honest, Which Is It?, Card to Pocket, Jumping Gemini, or even an ACR
Thank you so so much :)
Incredible.
Beautiful.
this guy is a class act
