  • Mastering the art of a handstand takes time and lots of persistence! I've been working on them for YEARS and I am STILL improving. It is a fun and rewarding skill to learn (and lots more you can build off from once you get it). Hope these progressions help!
    Here are some MORE TIPS that helped me:
    Step 1: Build Your Foundation
    Start by perfecting your handstand alignment with wall-supported handstands. This is where you'll learn how to stack your body, wrists, and shoulders.
    Step 2: Elevate Your Confidence
    Once you're comfortable against the wall, try a freestanding handstand with the help of a spotter or using a gentle kick-up technique. Embrace those wobbles and near-falls; they're part of the journey!
    Step 3: Strengthen Your Core
    A strong core is the key to maintaining balance. Incorporate core-specific exercises into your routine to ensure you're rock-solid while upside down.
    Step 4: Practice, Practice, Practice
    Handstands are all about consistency. Regular practice is your best friend on this journey. Dedicate time each day to fine-tune your technique and build strength.
    Step 5: Patience and Perseverance
    Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is your handstand. Embrace the falls, celebrate the progress, and stay patient. Your hard work will pay off!
