"It's for the dash!" LOL I just kicked a keg of Cali Common that turned out quite nice. I still had a 4 oz pack of Briess Extra Special Malt from HBC 2022, so I added that to my batch (2.5 gal final) and I really like the touch of character it added. Good luck!
Just finishing my cali-common inspired to the Anchor Steam. Golden Promise as main malt plus 6% of medium crystal and another 6% of dark crystal. Northern brewer hop total 35 IBU with 60 and 20 minute additions plus another 2 oz in 15 min hopstand. Mangrove Jack's M54 yeast. It has become my new favourite beer and at 5.1% ABV I don't feel guilty for drinking it.
I followed the Mean Brews Cali common recipe and it turned out good. My yeast crapped out on me so the FG was a tad high but still a good beer nonetheless
Love this channel. Such an inspiration watching you guys. I'm currently brewing a black IPA with American ale new england. Would love to see your guys spin on a black ipa. I'm using, Citra, galaxy and mosaic hops. Cheers boys, here from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Heh, we did a blind taste test of crappy American lagers -- 1st place was Michelob Ultra, 2nd place was Miller Lite, 3rd was the High Life. Try 2lbs of rice and NovaLager
I'm just so curious at this point what the wooden circles were left over from. I assume they were just left over from some house project. Can you tell us?
“I call a lot of things lawnmower beers” hahahahahhaha
Anything can be a lawnmower beer if you’re man enough
Got to love the jar of Destiny you guys are good at it
I can hardly believe it’s up to 10 already.
Can't wait for the tasting! Cheers
I’m brewing a Kentucky Common this weekend for the upcoming Derby
Wonderful style! Brewed one this winter.

Both of your pulls are remarkably appropriate for the season, I am strongly suspicious that the deck was stacked.

Looking forward to seeing the cali common, love that style. And Mike, I think the descriptor you’re looking for is “making love in a canoe” 😂
