I have a Tassoler for Chunithm, which has been awesome and I've wanted to make a video on it for a while. The issue is showing gameplay, since I'm playing on ripped data. I don't want to be *that guy* opening up pandora's box for Sega to chase after those ripping the game, or being one reason why we can't have nice things.

Love the content! Always cool to see funky tech and accessories. On the aftermarket docks/hdmi cable, I worry about the long term effects- specifically regarding the M92 IC and the P13 video chip and filters. Having replaced many of these, I’ve asked the customers if they used aftermarket docks or chargers and an overwhelming amount had said yes they had. I’ve always used my official dock and charger on all my switches and have yet to have a issue- that being said, I think the HDMI cable is super slick and would be an awesome travel companion
I do like the idea of the cable as a travel companion, would it be safe if not used as my main dock. If so would it be safer to use with the switch charger or can I use any USB C charger?
when they release firmware updates is when the issue starts. If read up on it before getting an aftermarket dock (second one so that i have one on 2 spots in the house). And all the issues were or after firmware/switch updates and the other was non official powerbrick. (wich is the reason i bought an official powerbrick to make sure that would never be the issue)
I wouldn't credit temu for the 8bitdo controller working well, they are a pretty known company by now (and their stuff is sold practically everywhere), especially in the retro & emulation scene. Also buying a yellow BMO is a crime.
I think you guys should do a 6month review on everything from temu so see how they work after a long time use. In my experience alot of stuff would work great for the first few weeks but they start messing up because they're cheaply made.
Those joycons are amazing, I've have the Nyxi version (they are the same really.. just another chinese company) and after 2 years, the joystick are still absolutely perfect, no drift at all.
I have the linuvu joycons (but the one with the RGB light strip on the inside of each controller. Model KS42) and i love them. I had the previous gen ones as well (just RGB around the sticks) when they were sold as Binbok joycons. I really love these products. The most comfortable joycons ever. They feel better than the split pad pro (split pad makes my pinky uncomfortable after a while). Only downside is after a while of using them, the sticks start to squeak. That was after 2 entire TOTK playthroughs and one Witcher 3 complete edition 100% run. So it takes a whole to get there. It didn't start until way past the 1000 hour mark. If you email them and have your receipt they will send you replacement parts (you pay shipping. $7 to the US). Will buy another pair for sure. I love them.

Actually some time ago bought same LinYuvo joycons but not from temu, and just clear transparent - so less fingerprint magnet. They are pretty damn good deal for they price. Only down sides are: you can't turn off leds completely, just lower brightness and only one game where I tried gyros is Taiko no Tatsujin, and the gyro was a bit off, didn't tried to dig dipper, since i not use gyros usually.
I've only bought one switch accessory from Temu and that was a metal-ish front plate to my dock and that works fine. Will definitely get the amiibo reader aswell 😂
The USB-C to HDMI cable took me by surprise a little by working. But for less than ten bucks, I would need more info before buying. Looks cool and the idea is great, but my first thought was it could tank your Switch for how cheap it is.
yeah I wouldn’t personally trust these Temu docks bc there’s a history of third party docks bricking your switch when they came out years ago. Doesn’t seem to be an issue these days but I wouldn’t risk it, and I’m someone that shops on Temu religiously lol

And don't really plan on getting it. But the idea of needing only a single cable and the charger is one I only hope picks up in the future.

Please be careful when using a cable instead of a dock. Because of the extra power, it needs a proper airflow. When plugging in an hdmi cable and putting the switch flat on the table, it might overheat.

any time using third party product your switch goes blank and wont boot up, you need to open the switch, unplug the battery and plug it back, than it will boot back up...

uhhh.... no? Then you wouldn't be able to use USB C rapid phone chargers to charge your switch if it wasn't compliant to the USB C PD charging standard. The issue with early knockoff docks is that they didn't control the voltage properly and with time someone would get unlucky with the provided voltage and get their switch fried. USB C laptop charging bricks can charge the switch just fine with stable voltage.
@@MrMega200 It does not, I can tell you because I actually know what the Switch calls for, none of the voltages in the Switch's chipset, the M92T36 Power Delivery chip, asks for are compliant with the PD Protocol. it asks for 6V, which USB PD does not provide correctly. it would supply it with 5V or 9V, and overtime on 9V, that's could cause a failure in the Switch, and I doubt these Chinese-native docks are accounting for that, just be skeptical.

So these problems is not with the switch itself. It's with these companies guessing Nintendo's slightly smaller USB C port and not using compliant hardware to supply the correct voltage.
@@MrMega200 That's only half of the story, the problem with the Nyko dock was that it was supplying 9V PD-compliant power to the CC pin, which as I discussed, the Switch doesn't like that, it wants 6V, so if the Switch is supplied any more than 6V, and you leave the Switch in that dock overnight, it will be very likely that it will kill the power delivery chip. Charging is less of a issue since it's only short bursts, but it's still not good for the life-span of the Switch itself. And also like I said, I doubt these Temu docks actually have proper PD chips anyway, or even supply the Switch the correct power, not all Docks are a complete avoid scenario, but unverifiable ones should be due to that.
@@Nova2127U Well from what I read, the Nyko dock didn't communicate with the switch either as a PD chip should of and didn't have a PD compliant chip. It just provided a dumb voltage to the switch

Linus weirdly uses that zero 2 controller to scroll through his teleprompter. I had the zero 1 (and I have the zero 2) and it was terrible, near impossible to connect with anything. Have not tried my Zero 2.
I’ve never played any zelda games or mario games and while slightly tempted to at least try it a bit, at this point I feel annoyed with all the attention it has received that I can’t care to try. Also never was one for handheld gaming devices either. Something so hyped it becomes annoying, feeling so out of the loop regarding it that I instead turn defiant and refuse to try it out. Also, all the hype just sets it up for not living up to expectations. I also haven’t watched star wars and think it sounds and looks stupid. Kinda funny how some things are so hyped yet you feel no desire at all to watch or play it and just don’t feel like it’s for you.

@@MrMega200 That's only half of the story, the problem with the Nyko dock was that it was supplying 9V PD-compliant power to the CC pin, which as I discussed, the Switch doesn't like that, it wants 6V, so if the Switch is supplied any more than 6V, and you leave the Switch in that dock overnight, it will be very likely that it will kill the power delivery chip.
Charging is less of a issue since it's only short bursts, but it's still not good for the life-span of the Switch itself.
And also like I said, I doubt these Temu docks actually have proper PD chips anyway, or even supply the Switch the correct power, not all Docks are a complete avoid scenario, but unverifiable ones should be due to that.
@@Nova2127U Well from what I read, the Nyko dock didn't communicate with the switch either as a PD chip should of and didn't have a PD compliant chip. It just provided a dumb voltage to the switch

Linus weirdly uses that zero 2 controller to scroll through his teleprompter. I had the zero 1 (and I have the zero 2) and it was terrible, near impossible to connect with anything. Have not tried my Zero 2.

I’ve never played any zelda games or mario games and while slightly tempted to at least try it a bit, at this point I feel annoyed with all the attention it has received that I can’t care to try. Also never was one for handheld gaming devices either.
Something so hyped it becomes annoying, feeling so out of the loop regarding it that I instead turn defiant and refuse to try it out. Also, all the hype just sets it up for not living up to expectations.
I also haven’t watched star wars and think it sounds and looks stupid. Kinda funny how some things are so hyped yet you feel no desire at all to watch or play it and just don’t feel like it’s for you.
