  • One of the best preflop strategies you can add to your poker game is exploitatively three-betting. By knowing when to three-bet, you can give yourself an edge in poker tournaments and cash games. You don’t always need pocket aces to be aggressive at the poker table.
    By the end of today’s stream, I want YOU to take this quiz and let me know in the comments how you do: pokercoaching....
    To become a winning Texas hold’em player, you must be willing to put in the time and study poker. If you are never three-betting preflop, you are missing out on an opportunity to exploitatively bluff your opponents. If you only raise with pocket queens and better, opponents will eventually figure out your game.
    As a professional poker player, I need to be able to consistently focus throughout the day. I used to drink a lot of coffee to help with focus, but it would inevitably lead to a crash. Then, I discovered BRÈINFÚEL.
    It combines everything you need including natural caffeine, MTC oil, vitamin C, vitamin E and collagen to give long lasting energy in a healthy way that allows you to focus your best all day long.
    You can get 15% off at breinfuel.com/... and by using code POKERCOACHING.

    All this is assuming your opponents are playing a GTO strategy. Where as my Thursday night game, most of them can’t spell GTO.

      You can still relatively use the standard chart stuff to 3 bet. Most poor players only 4 bet the nuts, QQ KK AA AK. If they call it’s likely 7/8’s and up. Play from there

      @@nintendokings its not just about poker that makes it sad, it goes to show the greater idea of how so many people just hope to luck out in life without ever putting in any of the work

    Totally agree that most won’t do what it takes to be a great poker player.
    Think about all the information available to lose weight, yet obesity has become an epidemic. Why? Because losing weight is hard. It’s much easier to eat what you want without regard to health.

    The explanation for Q4 doesn't make sense, from the quiz:
    *start quote*
    Question #4. Generally, how much of your stack can you invest with a 3-bet bluff and still fold to a 4-bet?
    Explanation: 1/3. Generally, if 1/3 of your stack is invested, you will likely be pot committed unless your hand is absolute trash.
    *end quote*
    If you're pot committed after investing 1/3, then doesn't that mean you can't bet 1/3 and still fold to a 4-bet?

      @nikolaykomissarenko7822 Рік тому

      The quote says, “you will LIKELY be pot committed,” if you have 300 stacks, villain shoves, it’s 200 more for you to call, so you are putting in 200 to win a total of 600, 2/6=33%. Your value hands will have more than 33%, your pure bluffs may will likely not allowing you to fold. You don’t want to 3bet the part of your range which is in between value and bluff, because then you lose a lot of equity.
      TLDR: The question says how much can you invest in a 3bet AND STILL FOLD TO A 4BET? So no.

    How come K9s 3bets a lot in some of these situations but not as often for KJs KQs? Is it supposed to be a bluff?

    • @nikolaykomissarenko7822
      @nikolaykomissarenko7822 Рік тому +1

      Yes, it would be a disaster to raise KJ/KQs and have to fold. Make your life easier.
      Edit: Make your decision easy:
      Okay, this is a 3bet bluff SLASH value (not both, as DNegs says there is no such thing as a value bluff, you just didnt know what you were doing.)
      So if I get 4bet I will fold my bluffs, and raise this part of value, and call with marginal stuff.
      Try to control as many decisions as you can, if youre not, youre not trying hard enough.
